Nia is eliminated? Heh.
I don't know why everyone thought she was going to be some sort of beast. She definitely has an athletic build and I get that she played sports, but that isn't really the same as the challenges. I don't think athleticism automatically = good at challenges. Plus, she was like afraid to try snowboarding. She doesn't seem to be into "extreme" type sports, from what I could tell.
Whenever Frank has had to pull his own weight and compete individually, he's done pretty well. He and Dustin are shocking, because they're good competitors. Some of the better rookie men and two who are more well-rounded than some of the vets.
But a good competitor leaving early is hardly unheard of.
Diem and Evelyn were the first two women out of the Ruins, Wes was the first guy out during BOTS, Darrell first in FM2, Abram and Rachel were 2 & 3 on the Island, Adam Larson was the first out on G2....personally I don't think Dustin or Frank are as good as any of those people

Abram bowed out on The Island at his request, and he still barely got eliminated. Darrell was held back by Cara. you're stretching now
Not to mention Ev quit too. I don't see how any of those make Frank and Dustin less shocking. Their both competitive and even if they quit or it was a fluke them being gone first is surprising.
Who knows maybe Latoya will surprise some people. That could be fun. Also, I just realized Jessica was still there. She's so bothersome to me. I don't think I can listen to her voice for more than a couple episodes. :(

Dustin nor Frank have ever won a one on one elimination. It isn't surprising at all. People like Dustin and therefore think he's better than what he's shown. Dustin and Frank's "resume" consists of a challenge with all newbies and Frank being carried to a final by Johnny's politics.
I'd argue that Frank performed better than Johnny on Rivals 2. And I hate Frank.
I also don't think being on a challenge with all newbies somehow takes away from someone's ability in the challenge. It's not like BOTSeasons had a bunch of slouches (on the men's side, at least).

I said Johnny's politics...and performing better in missions has nothing to do with elimiantion rounds.
BOTS absolutely had a bunch of "slouches" on the men's side. Being on a challenge with mainly newbies alters the game completely. See Dustin and Frank being gone already

I was never arguing that good competitors can't leave early. Just that Frank has shown to be well-rounded and good on a season with all newbies and mixed with vets/rookies (Rivals 2).

Wes, Brandon, CJ, Frank, Zach, Alton, Dustin, Chet, and even Derek and JD weren't slouches...

Because he had Johnny is Rivals 2--if he had a newbie he would have been an early target
We'll see how Frank does and how he lost. With his personality and how emotional he is I'm not at all surprised he went home early.
Wes, Brandon, CJ, Frank, Zach, Alton, Dustin, Chet, and even Derek and JD weren't slouches...
Frank's only elimination round was against Derek and there was nothing head to head
Dustin beat Trey & Robb with nothing head to head
I don't understand the argument that you believe exists here. And let's not pretend Wes or Alton cared
I know this isn't a possibility, but, I wish there was a way for them to have a prearrangement of the elimination challenges and not be able to deviate from them to appeal to a competitors weaknesses or strengths. We would have to be very naïve if we didn't know that happens.

Obviously politics-wise, but he even outperformed Johnny on missions and was one of the top guys that season.

You claimed that season was filled with slouches, when in reality it had plenty of solid to good competitors from the men...
5 to 6 weeks , I heard December 1st is the latest day the people making it the final are speculated to be back.
I'm almost sure they'll be back before Thanksgiving. I don't have any "insider" information but given that Challenges take 5-6 weeks to film, it seems logical. Also why would they spend time away from their families on Thanksgiving?
You claimed that season was filled with slouches, when in reality it had plenty of solid to good competitors from the men...
No, they didn't...they had most unproven players that you listed and a couple vets that didn't want to be there. You were so desperate you reached for JD and Derek. The men on that cast were below average. And NONE of this has anything to do with a challenge that has one on one elimiantions. Frank is so emotionally fragile I don't believe he could handle an elimination. Dustin isn't as strong as people think--people just find him likable.

I haven't actually read through all these pages so I don't really know what we're talking about. I think when looking at the group of guys on the challenge on paper, yes it is surprising that Frank and Dustin are eliminated and people like Johnny R/Swift are still there. This is just purely based off looks. Johnny and Swift could turn out to be great competitors, but I'd say yes it is surprising those two are apparently gone. Just because strong competitors have gone in the past doesn't make it any less surprising when it happens again. It's the same reason I was surprised to find out someone like Devyn made it to the end of BOTSeasons. After watching the season, it made sense. Dustin and Frank have shown themselves to be solid competitors so I was pretty shocked to see them already gone. However, it wasn't as surprising when I thought about their personalities and relationships with the other people on this season.

If it is a Ruins format the other team isn't going to send in Johnny or Swift--they keep them to take them out later
Dustin and Frank haven't proven much of anything yet and we'll likely see that this season. It really is a shame last year wasn't a team challenge because Frank would have been screwed

Unproven players who turned out to be solid/good for the most part. I called them decent, is that a lie? You yourself have said the same thing. And again, I've been speaking about overall competition this whole time.
For the millionth time, no one claims Dustin is a beast, just good. Not someone many would have expected to be the first out.

Thats a pretty interesting point. Brooklyn was the same way and wrapped just before. But then again I trust pinkRose.

It's a shame it wasn't a team challenge for so many reasons. It's sad how much I want a team challenge. Thankfully it seems like we're finally getting it.

I wish it was 1 on 1 truth be told.
And not to veer too far off topic, but I truly believe had Dustin not split his knee open, he and Heather would have been a force to be reckoned with on BOTExes.
(Also, sidenote: I don't really find Dustin that likeable. I liked him on BOTSeasons because he was enemies with Frank and he had all these hilarious rage-quotes, but in general I think he's kind of a *****.) <-starts with "p", rhymes with sick.

We haven't seen much of anything from them. Decent doesn't mean anything. It has no value.
This is all about the being eliminated THIS SEASON...that means one on one. Neither are going to be good at that IMO. Zach, who didn't show much the last 2 years, will likely do much better this season
Dustin leaving first is not shocking at all...at all. He has no one on his side and, as you say, isn't a beast. Chet could beat him in most things and Chet is, to use your word, at best "decent"

Lol we all think that. Poor Dustin/Heather that season.

But when you're calling the men's side slouches it clearly does.
Zach hasn't shown much? He and Trey were a force to be reckoned last season, **** he and fellow rookie Trey even beat Ty/Leroy, though lost on a technicality. When you see Johnny R, Swift, maybe even Preston it is. LOL, Chet could not beat Dustin in most things. You can't actually believe that.

Again, the men's side wasn't good. Chet was arguably the second best of anyone who cared. That's not good.
Watch Chet beat Dustin...watch it happen. Dustin is probably the most overrated competitor on this board.
Dustin goes home first--doubt it was a fluke. He has no one on his side and is, at best, average..at best
