Remember, he did mention that she did not vote the way they wanted early on in the game and he is referring to it as a game. He does not harbor ill will towards her and was willing to protect her somewhat. "All you had to do was not lose." Did he really desert her? ... I don't think so. He was willing to back her up but she lost and that was out of his control. He threw the choice to Wes because he did not want to put Camila/Jemmye in because of his Alliance with them but did not want to be the bad guy if Diem/Aneesa had to face Paula/Emily. Wes cast the vote to put in Paula/Emily and Jordan cast the deciding vote for Camila/Jemmye.

Yea, I agree with you in that aspect but what probably really bothered her was his behavior during her altercation with C/J. I mean he was laughing in her face and telling Camila, "Get her, Get her." He also laughed and made light of Jemmye saying that she was pathetic for still wanting CT. I think that is what really made her lose control. She realized that CT did not really care about her and realized that she did look stupid for showing interest in him again. Now he had the house laughing at her. I would be ****** to. That was cruel. He used her vulnerability to get back in, and then dropped her like a bad habit. In front of people who did not like her and were happy to see him betray her. I think she felt backed into a corner, and defended herself. She just didn't do it in the best way....

I think it was also the fact that she knew she caused her and Aneesa to lose and was having trouble reconciling that fact. CT did say that when things are out of her control she tends to lose it. ... She blew up on Tina and on Aneesa previously in previous Challenges. She's a poor loser and has trouble coming to grips with the fact that she screwed up.

It was the final exile on Fresh Meat. She was overly emotional. It's not an excuse, but it's understandable to a certain degree.
The Aneesa thing isn't completely Diem's fault. Aneesa told her that her with assurance that she wasn't going to call Diem out and she went back on her word. Aneesa should not have promised that in the first place, especially with such sureness.
Either way, Diem does usually realize that she gets out of line at times, and ends up taking responsibility for it. She was fine with Tina and Aneesa shortly after the boil. Even on the aftershow she was taking responsibility for the whole Camilla thing.

I'm not disagreeing but listing her impulsive negative reaction which demonstrates she can be and on the Challenges is a poor loser.
CT had asked Diem right before Shavoun let out her Whoop Whoop to reconcile and she turned him down. She didn't go to see him after his brother died.
Did Diem also mention that CT approached her again in Battle of the exes with a couple of other cast members present? Or was that situation the only one in Duel 2?
Did Diem also mention that CT approached her again in Battle of the exes with a couple of other cast members present? Or was that situation the only one in Duel 2?
Satisfacer, it gets confusing, doesn't it? He may have approached her in Battle of the Exes but I don't remember seeing it. Maybe someone else will recall it better. I remember her saying he kept bringing her the pictures of past challenges at the beginning of BOE. From what Diem said, she was still very much in her relationship in Los Angeles at that time. You can see, though, from the dancing in the bar scenes that there is that attraction between them that will probably always be there in some form.
In the beginning of the Exes, the cast discovered there were pics of them with their Exes in the living room. Mandi even remarks she thought the one of her and Wes was of them having ***. Jasmine smashed her picture declaring that relationship more than over. So did CT bring over a picture or pictures depicting their past relationship? Quite possibly.

that was it.. it was even shown on TV, its not like he was carrying pics of them around with him.

Well, only CT can answer that. However, you guys can read Diem's Exes interview for her perspective on the matter.

Satisfacer, I'm glad that skimthrough remembered. Here's a direct quote from the Diem interview which V1man conducted:
Did "Execs" leave any false impressions that you would like to clear up.
First, I did NOT want to get back together with CT at any point. Rachel, Jaz and Tyrie were all there when the first night he said I thought we could give us another try, of course in his words, I can't remember exactly.
Look at the reunion. He says it there even on film, "She doesn't want me"
When their fight started in the bar after he compared Paul and Ty to them at the beginning, he did say something in response to Diem's "I know you still like me. I know you still love me." He told her to leave him alone and stop torturing him.
I can relate. It's awful to still have those feelings, albeit physical or emotional, and not act on them. I have an ex I can't ever see again because of that.

I agree! I also noticed that whenever there is a fight in the house the other cast members will run to watch it because it's a form of entertainment. Diem on the other hand, has a reputation for trying to end the fights, to be the peacemaker. I have read interviews where other cast members have described her in this manner. It must have been especially hurtful for her to have no one step in and try to diffuse the fight for her, instead they were jeering from the sidelines. I can see how this added to her angst.

Jemmye has had a hand in literally every fight/argument the girls have had this season. Not 100% relevant but I just wanted to point that out.
Jemmye is an instigator. I don't know why she felt the need to jump into that fight in the first place. Im assuming Camilla was upset because Diem and her are friends and she wanted Diem to give her the respect of letting her know her intentions for the jungle before hand. (Even though I don't understand what Camilla was so upset about...I mean if the shoe was on the other foot, she would have taken Diem/Anessa because she know she wouldn't want to face Emily but...) But Diem and Jemmye are not friends. Diem does not owe Jemmye an explanation for anything. Camilla can handle her own and she did not need Jemmye to jump into that altercation, Jemmye just likes to statrt ****. That fight probably would not have even elevated like that if Jemmye did not come and put her 2 cents in. I don't like that chick. I don't like people who crave drama.

However, Jemmye was Camila's partner which is why she got involved because the decision affected her too.

I understand that but what Jemmye aided to that argument was irrelevant. She did not have to hit Diem below the belt and bring up CT. What was the purpose of that...?

To hurt Diem...and it worked. I don't like Jemmye but why do people think Diem's the only person that can't be attacked?

To get inside Diem's head and muddled up her thinking thereby increasing her mental stress making her less effective in Elimination
To get inside Diem's head and muddled up her thinking thereby increasing her mental stress making her less effective in Elimination
Yeah, her and Knight have the same strategy of not being physically imposing at all but being emotionally manipulative monsters. It's pretty effective, can't deny that. I still think she is going to get wrecked in the final.

Because she has cancer and is doing so much good! So nobody can say anything negative about Diem. Ever.
Because she has cancer and is doing so much good! So nobody can say anything negative about Diem. Ever.
That's interesting because when it comes to Diem, 97% of what I see here is negative.
That's interesting because when it comes to Diem, 97% of what I see here is negative.
Are you kidding me? Diem is widely praised here. Even people that correctly didn't like her antics during the last episode still respect her as a fighter. Many here do act as though Diem's "off-limits"...she's not.
That's interesting because when it comes to Diem, 97% of what I see here is negative.
Okay, honestly though, what are you expecting after the last couple of episodes? Diem is someone that takes the blame and admits to the fact that she behaved ridiculously/wrong often this season, so why is that when somebody shares this opinion they are just "hating" and being negative for no reason? She gave plenty of reasons to be negative about and if one cannot see that even while being a fan..well...
I respect her as a person but honestly this season made me dislike her in a lot of ways, I think this was just REALLY not her season.
and if you wan't to talk about Vevmo hate, go no further than JEK etc... (I mean, you have to admit that the 97% estimation of Diem negativity is vastly off)

a lot of ppl said that this was the feel around the house too... nobody wanted to be mean to/mess with the Diem("cancer girl") and everybody felt for her yet at the same time they wondered if she should she get extra special treatment bc of it..

Although skimthrough has a very keen sense of humor, I don't think that she's kidding. I see the same thing she does this season. There are not many posts that involve Diem that don't mentioned at least one of these: sense of entitlement, wants a pass, uses cancer, poor loser, poor sport, bad game player...you get my drift. Every now and then, people will critique game play and give her kudos for being a fighter or acknowledge her condition. Maybe the posts were different in past seasons but this season, it was Diem Hate, baby!

No, I'm not kidding. Clearly our experiences here have been different.

I'm not talking about just after the last couple of episodes and I'm not trying to excuse her behavior. If anything, the Diem negativity has only escalated since then. I never said the word "hating" either.
As for the 97%, that's referring Diem and Diem only. So, in my opinion/observation, 97% of comments I see regarding Diem are negative, and many are outright disrespectful. Obviously I haven't been here as long as some of you have, so maybe that gives you a frame of reference in where I'm coming from.
Anyone who thinks Diem is using her cancer situation to her own benefit is probably misreading things. She even explicitly said in the previous episode, a couple of times, that she felt betrayed because of the amount of time she had spent with some of the other castmates and how close they were to her, referring to Johnny as a brother, referring to Wes as a long-time friend, and obviously referring to CT and their past... and they then didn't help her out in her time of need. CT actually went out of his way to be a jerk to her, which was even worse.
She felt betrayed, and I completely understand that.
Where the whole "cancer favoritism" thing comes into it, I really don't know. When she does talk about her cancer on the show, it's not at all associated with her wanting or expecting people to give her a break because of it.
I think the people who are annoyed with Diem and attribute her actions to "cancer favoritism" are barking up the wrong tree. If anything, she seems distressed because she is a long-standing, close member of the RW/RR group and expects old members to have her back like she has theirs. That should be considered more like "Veteran favoritism." Just leave the cancer out of it. She does, after all.

Most of those things are true and have always been true about Diem. Doesn't mean anyone "hates" her. Take out "uses cancer" and that is absolutely an accurate portrayal of who she is as a player. I'd love to see Diem win a challenge--I'd also love Diem to stop being "scared" as Aneesa so accurately pointed out.
