Alliances change every single challenge, one minute you see some ppl hating each other, the next one you see them huging and saying how much they love each other.
I just wanna say how I totally like aneesa during the whole episode, all the challenge diem was giving her a hard time about not working out, but when it came to have the head in the game, aneesa kept her cool.
Does Wes dislike Paula or was it a jab at Johnny considering Wes and Paula were cool during Rivals and they ganged up on CaraMaria together.
On rivals 1 they were cool cause Wes actually advocated for Paula and helped her get what she wanted while her guys JEK were arguing with her about her decisions, during the Cara fight, she was like ya I'm backing up this guy, its called loyalty. Lets get real he wasnt doing that for Paula, he was doing it for Evelyn, he always does whatever Ev wants. I was surprised Wes cared enough to vote in Paula, but it seems like Wes/CT were playing all sides, apparently they had this tight alliance with Camilla/Jemmye, maybe more with Jemmye, so I can see why they voted Paula cause Camila/Jemmye would probably send in Johnny/Frank before CT/Wes, but still I would think Diem's wishes would be important to them. I dont think they would have voted in Diem if she wasnt last place

Kenny and Evan are Paula's two best friends from the show world and there is obviously a pretty intense mutual dislike between JEK and Wes. Paula probably doesn't feel OBLIGATED to dislike Wes, but if your best friend really didn't like someone, it's kind of an unwritten rule that you aren't supposed to be friends with that person.
Unrelated but I loved how when Diem got out of the pool to follow CT to talk to him everyone else immediately turned and started waving the camera crew to follow them. Hilarious.

One of the best parts of the entire episode. They know what's up.
And did Wes also make him wear Camila's and Jemmye's jersey color to the jungle as opposed to Diem's(purple)?
Let's be honest, I can imagine that they way Diem acted throughout the whole ordeal bought back memories to him and just reminded him why not go down that road again... "True Colors" was a fitting episode title...
Very few people on these challenges are as self-entitled and self-absorbed as Diem and this is saying a lot...and these are character traits where certainly not brought on by the hormone shots..(she had always been like this)
Well, let's really be honest. It's good to know that at least the 10 minutes of Diem hate will be over soon. Almost every phrase in today's tirade (except for hormone shots) could be applied to every cast member there. So glad skimthrough posted the photo. None of your critique fits the criteria you set out last time we were here, that being not liking the way someone played the game and commenting on it.
I feel like editing really wrote off a fan favorite and made them into a heel. I feel like Diem has lost some supporters this season.
This wasn't an edit on Diem...this is her MO.
She's still widely liked and respected but, when it comes to the game, she can't handle things when she's not in a position of power or protected. That has always been the case and will always be the case. It can be said about many others as well but Diem doesn't deserve a free pass as she clearly believes she does. Diem was the cause of them finishing last, Diem got who she wanted in the elimination round...her overreaction was just uncalled for. Aneesa summed it up best.

Diem was always a Heel. She was never once likable or interesting. Just another Non-Cast member mucking up these shows.

Right. The two time cancer survivor who has the highest current cast member twitter follower count was never likable or interesting. She uses her money from the show for her work, which is helping sick people finding donors. Totally worthless, a classic heel cause. I wish she was more like every cast member who would rather yell whenever they think someone has talked about them and plans to spend their money on a low end BMW. Those are the special ones that deserve the most praise...come on you guys
I don't know if you've watched The Challenge ever but The CT/Diem romance is probably the shows main plotline and its by far most popular as witnessed by the fact that only like ten people watch the shows during seasons they aren't on together.

Who reacts well about going into the elimination round/not having control of the game? No one cause it definitely sucks. Name one person who really reacts well. If they do then it's because you only want to go in to an elimination if you know you can win. Diem never goes against easy people in the eliminations like many of these "elimination queens". She probably overreacted cause she felt bad and knew it was entirely her fault. And let's be honest, Emily can be as great at Crossfit as one can be, but Diem will still be the most deserving of a free pass when you consider she uses her money for good and life is much harder for her
Emily can be as great at Crossfit as one can be, but Diem will still be the most deserving of a free pass when you consider she uses her money for good and life is much harder for her
Good stuff.
While I respect Diem for all she has gone through, she continued to prove she is a poor loser. She's flipped on Tina, on Aneesa, and on the house here. This one was even more telling because she was directly responsible for being sent into Elimination. Watch it again and notice how she gives side looks or rolls her eyes anytime someone mentions she lost or Cooke won, even TJ received it. She has that sense of entitlement about her and has a hard time accepting that she lost.
For the record, I loved the cast telling the camera to follow Diem. I think Bananas even said: "Go, go!"

Basically it boils down to this. Diem had a temper tantrum because the vote wasn't 3-0. Think about it, she got what she wanted, Jemmye & Camilla in the jungle, but the vote was 2-1. Sheesh!

Cooke and Cara Maria reacted well when they lost a challenge and had to go into a Jungle. Nany and Jonna are no slouches either.
Just because Diem didn't react well does not mean she's a bad person. Everyone is human. Diem seems to be at the receiving end of insane amounts of hate for this episode. I'm not saying she was innocent, but I really feel for her. Also, I still believe the edit had a lot to do with it, and I think it's shady for BMP/MTV to suddenly throw her under the bus like they have when she has expressed only her deepest gratitude toward them all these years.
(And yes, I'm a Diem fan. I am going to defend her. Please do us both a favor if you disagree and move on from my comments instead of *****ing at me.)
Okay some things I wanna say.
I really don't think Diem had any right to get mad at CT. I mean what did she expect him to do? Why does she think he is obligated to help her? She and Aneesa came in LAST PLACE they were going in no matter what. It's not CT's job to make sure she gets to the Final challenge. She's on her own.
That Girl Fight was GLORIOUS Diem gets called out on her crap and it was amazing. Loved every minute of it.
think Jordan and Marlon should've thrown in Paula/Emily. I see no reason to just hand them the money basically. Make them earn their spot by fighting in the Jungle like Marlon/Jordan did.
Also did anyone notice that during the challenge all the guys were shirtless? That made me hot!
On the note of the girls, maybe they think Paula and Emily will lend them a hand in a future challenge. Or...Emily maybe..I wouldn't trust Paula's loyalty.
Cooke and Cara Maria reacted well when they lost a challenge and had to go into a Jungle. Nany and Jonna are no slouches either.
Cooke and Cara Maria have complained alot about being the targets all season long (not that I don't think they're justified in their complaints). Nany is a beautiful angel and her and Jonna reacted well because they knew they didn't have a chance at winning anyway.

True, they did express frustration with being picked to go first in every challenge. They also handled the swimming challenge loss like troopers and accepted their fate.
I think Nany and Jonna are very good competitors and I don't think it was a given they would lose the jungle.

Look I don't give a damn how popular she is on twitter and I don't give a damn what she is doing outside of the shows. Inside the challenges all she has ever done is talk about her Cancer and Bang CT. What she is doing regarding the whole Cancer thing is commendable but I don't want to see her constantly talking about her cancer and doing this Will they/Won they BS with CT. All of it has been done before and I don't wanna see it anymore. And tell me why do you think Diem deserves a Free Pass? This is a Reality Tv Competition NOBODY should get a Free pass to ANYTHING Rookie, Veteran, or Cancer survivor. if you wanna get to the end and be the one holding that big *** check you get in there and you compete and form a strategy and implement it. Diem doesn't dersevre to win over anyone else. I don't care how much good she is doing.
Oh and for the record. I've been watching these shows from the very long time. Probably longer than you (The Extreme Challenge was m First Challenge I ever saw). And you know what? The CT/Deim storyline is not interesting. It's old and needs to die.
Cooke and Cara Maria have complained alot about being the targets all season long (not that I don't think they're justified in their complaints). Nany is a beautiful angel and her and Jonna reacted well because they knew they didn't have a chance at winning anyway.
I'd take Jonna/Nany's chances of winning over Diem/Aneesa any day. They might not be the greatest at some of the Challenges, but they seem like they could do well in a Final. Aneesa looked horrible on the Duel 2 Final, unless she's greatly improved her cardio I doubt she'd last in the type of Finals they do now.
On the note of the girls, maybe they think Paula and Emily will lend them a hand in a future challenge. Or...Emily maybe..I wouldn't trust Paula's loyalty.
If that's the case then maybe..I suppose I just feel like Emily/Paula had no problem voting them in the Jungle so Marlon/Jordan should've returned the favor. And who's to say they'll even help them in the Future? Both Paula and Emily are up Johnny's *** so their alliance and loyalty will always be with him. Not sure how that helps them in any way....I guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out.
I think Marlon was undecided and Jordan took the lead on making the decision. In his opinion, they consistently busted their ***** and won throughout the Challenge so he was not going to send them in. Jordan knows it is a game and also knows they proved they deserved to be there.
Wes voted in Paula/Emily. Possibly because she is friends with Johnny. Possibly because Diem asked for the tougher team. Possibly because Camila and Jemmye were part of the Alliance he and CT had set up. You knew Bananas would not put Paula in at all. CT said it the best to Diem: "All you had to do was not lose."
Irregardless to all of that, Diem proved once again that she is a poor loser.

If the little challenge on this episode is any foreshadowing, Aneesa seemed to be doing better than Diem in the running aspect, at least at the end.
Jemmye is one to talk about looking foolish over a guy...shes lucky most people have short memories. They may have forgotten her breakdown on st. Patrick's day, but I haven't.
I like Diem but honestly I admire Aneesa for being so patient with her. I'd have been pissed - Aneesa had those colors memorized and Diem physically pulled her back with the chain and said "wait..."
Uuugggh, how annoying. Diem sucks under pressure.
And I do think CT used her. Genuine feelings don't just suddenly change overnight like that. He went from being all into her, sleeping on the floor while she slept in his bed and telling the guys, "Oh well, she kissed me, so I'm happy..." And saying how he has feelings to BAM, "i don't care anymore, I'm over it...this is a game, don't get emotional..."
He used her. I agree with what Johnny said, CT is someone who exploits people's weaknesses...and that's exactly what he did with Diem.
I can understand why Diem reacted the way she did. She felt that CT + Wes threw her under the bus, and she felt like Cooke, her arch-enemy, was getting a chance that she doesn't deserve (because in everyday life, Cooke is not a good person--I'm not willing to argue with anyone on this, so don't even attempt it).
I was appalled at how CT completely flipped the script on Diem and became so cold, even cheering for Camila when she was yelling bad things at Diem. What on earth? He seems to keep repeating this mantra of, "She doesn't have control over me anymore." So, I'm assuming that throughout this entire challenge, he was trying to woo her and get her vulnerable just so he could turn around and drop her like a hot potato, saying, "Actually, you're on your own." Thus gaining himself the upper hand.
That's sad. I don't think CT is a sociopath like someone else mentioned earlier, but I do think there's a lot of rancor left over from their relationship that he hasn't completely dealt with yet. I still think he truly does care for her, but when it comes to the "power" dynamic between the two, it gets messy.

Britney, I think you hit the nail on the head. We've been watching these two interact on and off (our watching and their interacting) for a decade and watching them grow up and evolve into who they are today. The Diem of the Duel is not the Diem of Rivals II and the CT of the Duel disappeared after Gauntlet III. Diem's portrayal on the show turned into I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar after Duel II and CT's whole Up On The Roof/Let Me Eat His Head Thing . Now, Duel II was a horrible time for CT ~ his brother had just been murdered for God's sake. If there was ever a time when he deserved a pass for bad behavior from a woman he genuinely loved, that was it. At that time, Diem had conquered cancer, had been brought back to the world through CT's Duel I efforts, found a nice boyfriend who had a real job and didn't make her feel/look stupid on TV, and was very self sufficient. Different couple than on Duel I. By the time Exes rolled around, they weren't even keeping up with each other. CT had asked Diem right before Shavoun let out her Whoop Whoop to reconcile and she turned him down. She didn't go to see him after his brother died. The animosity between them was profound. Somewhere between the top of that glacier and Rivals II, Diem seems to have genuinely forgiven him. But he is not the CT of Duel I and some parts of Gauntlet III. His eyes are different. And I don't think he's ever forgiven her for breaking up with him in the first place (Career First after he had moved out to California to be with her), making him feel stupid going into Duel II, and then abandoning him at a time of personal tragedy. Their physical chemistry is so strong, though, and the intensity of their relationship during and after Duel 1 would make it difficult for anyone to be around their ex. I think she regrets breaking up with him. I think we all have a relationship like that in our lives. This is a tough time for her physically, emotionally, psychologically and I think she deserves a pass for her behavior from the man who adored her. There is still something there between them that rekindles when they spend time out of the real world together. I don't know if they can ever get back somewhere near where they were or establish something brand new that would not be tarnished by the events of the past. My hat's off to her ~ I couldn't stay friends with him.

I am not saying I totally understand CT's behavior from that episode but if he did use her, then why is he spending time with her outside the show. CT and Diem are still in touch presently. If he were totally using her, wouldn't he be not talking to her right now.
