I have faith BMP is above it, but I really do hope they don't try to shoehorn some storyline into this season that piggybacks off Pedro in any shape or form. That would be kind of shameless.
What makes you think BMP is above anything that has clear potential to line their corporate pockets. I stopped believing after I began talking to cast members years ago.
I couldn't get much worse than the last one. The closest Subway restaurant is a 17 minute walk from the "house."
Actually there's a subway half a block down at Sutter and Polk. There's a ton of bars right there on Polk, should be a good ***** show.

Reality Blurred picked up on Bacchus' breaking the news about RW: SF (with credit of course).
Real World back to San Francisco, but MTV may be ready to cancel the series + reality blurred
For those few of you who sent me hate mail when I said the series may be in its last days, please note Andy's similar mention of Susanne Daniels,' MTV's President of Programming, as the arch-nemesis of RW continuation.

Another season with awful ratings and I guess MTV will cancel the show. We'll see how this goes. I just hope the cast is interesting because that's something the last 3 seasons have lacked.
This is just great. Another back to season. They should've damn well learned by now. Plus I just got used to the original locations.
I have faith BMP is above it, but I really do hope they don't try to shoehorn some storyline into this season that piggybacks off Pedro in any shape or form. A small reference will not hurt anybody (similar to how Sarah supposedly noticed previous locations during her tenure on Rivals 2). Especially when it comes to Pedro. Except if we're talking about that dumb *** 2008 movie. He kind of paved the way for homosexual males on this series. It's no biggy you know. Hell, even Jasmine already knew about CT and Diem's relationship when she first did a show with them.
The last one was good until the fight. It had actual drama. Much better than St. Thomas or San Diego Dos.
yeah right. The fight was awesome. People thinking they won was when it got "terrible" lmao. Seriously though it would've been good regardless. I agree that St. Thomas had an interesting cast but terrible vibe. They didn't really get into the culture, which was complete ********.

The premiere ratings for Portland was terrible, it basically proved that people were just checked out of the show in general before the cast would even be given a chance.
That wasn't appropriate V1. We get it you don't favor Preston, moving on now.
As soon as you compile a list and PM me the names.... Well, that or over the next few months as molds and I find them.
In fairness, you are a bit short-handed these days. A lot of the digging was done by Zeus who was the heart and soul of the research department back when I was a mod. I miss his occasional pithy contributions to the forum.
That wasn't appropriate V1. We get it you don't favor Preston, moving on now.
Why? I don't know Preston; have no interest in him personally or professionally. Nothing I wrote was inappropriate, assuming the reporter didn't lie. The story is pretty clear about Preston being a fundamental source for the article. I haven't seen a denial from Preston that he talked to the reporter and their conversation is not accurately reflected. I hope you are not going to suggest that Preston was actually in bed with BMP and was simply giving out false information to lead people like Bacchus away from San Fran as the location. To the woodshed with you...

I have been lurking this site for years now and decided to finally make an account. I am from New Hampshire but next month I'm actually heading to San Francisco for 3 days. I'm staying a mile away from the new location. Has filming started yet? Do we think it will by the 6th? Also, do we have any ideas of restaurants and clubs that are cleared for filming? I will stroll by the house next month and see if anything is going on.
I pressume Filming begins at the top of this week.
Lol. If this isn't screaming "we're ending the show", idk what does. Season 30 will be the last back on NYC. I'm willing to bet $$

The trailer for Portland didn't help though, the only interesting thing about it was the 2 second clip of the fight at the end. Everything else was the same tired storyline of someone loves their boyfriend/girlfriend but doesn't trust them, someone has a secret, hook ups in the house, etc. The Variety article said there may be some format tweaks this season so I hope they do that as well.

We won't likely know until we see the cast out and about. Stick around and you'll probably get an idea of where to look.

Did you give into their demands and decide to un-cancel the show?

I'm more struck by the fact that you finally made an account after years of lurking! Now that is dedication to anonymity! :P Anyway, welcome. :)
A bit early to find out what bars/restaurants have been cleared. We won't likely know until we see the cast out and about. Stick around and you'll probably get an idea of where to look.
Awesome! I'll keep an eye out for them when I'm out there.
Awesome! I'll keep an eye out for them when I'm out there.
You can look for signs in the window of nearby bars/clubs which will tell you that a TV is being shot inside and you agree to being filmed when entering. That's the give away.

Since this show and the challenges are tied together. IF this show gets to axe The Challenges will follow too.
I honestly am getting the vibe that this is the last/final season , I know 29 is a wierd number but I just feel like this is really good season to end with being San Fran was the season to put Real World on the map and RW is on it's last leg. There are enough rookies between Sydney and San Francisco 2 to do atleast 2 more themed or none themed challenges without having a new season of RW or Fresh Meat.
Yeah I'm kinda getting this vibe too. This show has run it's course a long time ago and is now just serves to get new people on to the challenges. The challenges could continue for a few more seasons if the ratings are fair enough and cared to keep it on air. Heck, they could rotate between newbies that have never been on a challenge before from the last 10 seasons of the RW and the challenge fans wouldn't care about whose from what season. They just know you by face, you're either a veteran or a rookie.
If this season can top Portland you never know. Don't forget Portland was the last decent season that deserved better ratings but didn't because it followed two of the WORST seasons in SD2 and St Thomas. Just remember before SD2 RW's ratings were at the top.
last decent season that deserved better ratings
That is a matter of opinion not shared by any media critics I know. The entertainment reported for the Portland Oregonian said she felt like she needed to take a shower after reporting on the cast/show.
I just really don't see the point in holding hope anymore when they've obviously given up. I see going back to SF as "If we're gonna go out..lets go out on a good note"
