The Real World: Generic Thread

Houston and Atlanta are both big transportation hubs. Phoenix is the island in the desert and the I-10 runs straight through it. There is also the tourism industry which is huge in Phoenix and several Fortune 500 companies are headquartered here: Motorola, Dial, US Airways and Intel has a couple of different manufacturing plants. Plus, the desert proving grounds for several car manufacturers are here as well. Phoenix is also one of the few cities that can claim all four major sports (Baseball, football, basketball, and hockey) being represented. Although we'll see about the NHL and the Coyotes soon.
So how did the entertainment reporter for the Oregonian feel about covering RW Portland?
So I was just walking down the street in Nashville and overheard two guys saying that Real World: Nashville was filming at The Red Door (a bar here) last night. Obviously I know this isn't true based on these boards; it looks like casting is still going on, right? Anyway, this might be a rumor completely based on nothing or is it possible that Nashville will be the next RW location and MTV cameras were pre-scouting locations or something?

Funny you should say that. I live in Philly and people were coming in a bar with a camera crew while me and my friends were leaving. Obviously it's not the real world, maybe it's another show.
Bar? It's probably Bar Rescue scouting for locations.
It could also be the Real World scouting for talent, I mean castmembers.
Rumor RW: Back To Miami removed I could see it albeit a rumor or not 1. BGC was just filmed there 2. There heavly casting singles 3. It's filming in Summer-Fall time 4. They want more personalities.
It's filming in Summer-Fall time
why would anyone want to film in sweltering miami summer heat??!
why would anyone want to film in sweltering miami summer heat??!
Ha Miami heat does not compare to the hot mess that is the Texas heat nor the ridiculous over the top heat in Phoenix. I think Miami would be a great place to have the next Real World. Didn't see when it first air there, so it would be interesting... Crossing my fingers for Dallas though. ^.^

Humid air is thicker and therefore harder to breathe. Phoenix may have dry desert heat but it is breathable.

I can't believe that. We don't know the full story but that sucks. I wonder what Heather thinks about that, Yikes.

It's filming in Summer-Fall time
why would anyone want to film in sweltering miami summer heat??!
If they were smart they would've already started filming this season so they can premiere just in time to keep the momentum going from The Challenge.
Season 29 has to bring the series back - we all know this! I hope whatever they attempt to do (casting singles, couples) works this time.
I saw that. I can't believe that. We don't know the full story but that sucks. I wonder what Heather thinks about that, Yikes.
Of course, Frank had to make a negative twitter post referring to this. Nope, my opinion has not changed about Frank. He's still a d**che!
Of course, Frank had to make a negative twitter post referring to this. Nope, my opinion has not changed about Frank. He's still a d**che!
He is but he would give nuts for some TMZ coverage too. Probably feels jealous that Dustin got some before he did.
It's hard to picture Dusting doing something like that. Then again it was really hard to think of he and Alton doing something so reprehensible on the challenge that they could possibly be banned. I don't know what to believe. I just hope he can keep his nose clean here on out. I really enjoyed him on the challenge.
Haha, here's an update: Update: Former Real World castmember arrested in Lafayette | KATC.com | Acadiana-Lafayette, Louisiana
Officers say when they came in contact with Zito he began to resist violently. According to the arrest affidavit, the officer told Zito to put down his glass beer bottle and exit the business. The report says Zito instead gripped the bottle tighter as the officer tried to grab it, and he allegedly refused to put it down. Police say as they began to physically escort Zito to the exit, he said "F--- it! Let's fight!".
Doesn't really surprise me.
WHERE WILL SEASON 29 BE. I heard rumors of it being in Miami. My hopes is that they would do it in Atlanta or New Jersey.
There are always rumors. Given the topics being explored in this year's casting, I'd think Miami would not be a particularly viable option -- an least not anything "South Beach." Orlando and Tampa would be better fits for friendly club access, and so would Atlanta, Minneapolis, and few other places.
WHERE WILL SEASON 29 BE. I heard rumors of it being in Miami.
There are no credible rumors of it being filmed in Miami. There is one blog post on one single Miami based blog from three months ago hoping it would be in Miami. On the flip side of that, just think...there are now people on other websites saying there is a rumor the next season of the Real World will be in Atlanta or New Jersey!
I'll continue rooting for ATL. I really think Atlanta has a lot of culture, personality and sites that could make it a cool location. The main thing I want, though, is a city that people will care to watch. Cities like Las Vegas immediately grab your attention, unlike Portland (although it's a unique city).
I would still love for them to go to Toronto!! Although I know it's highly unlikely... But they've never been to a Canadian location! (aside from the lost season and FM2) I can see ATL being done... those rumours keep on swirling around, maybe it will finally happen
I would still love for them to go to Toronto!! Although I know it's highly unlikely... But they've never been to a Canadian location! (aside from the lost season and FM2)
I'd enjoy Toronto as a location. Sadly, the target audience has no idea where that is... As someone from the Northeast, I personally love Montreal, Quebec city and Halifax as locations being they are all unique cities. They would be great locations from a cultural perspective. However, they would not offer anything as far as ratings are concerned to a young American audience. Might as well put the show in Cincinnati....
Surely teenage Americans have to have an idea of where Toronto is... if not than wth? haha I'm sure at least everyone has heard of it... its the most populated city in Canada... It has an amazing nightlife too (I should know, i've lived here for 20 years haha) I also want them to go back to Hawaii.. I'd love another season there!!

I think real world should just stay in las vegas and bring in different cast member each season.. my opinion
