Well than V1man, If Diem has a friendly relationship with Chris and not CT (the television personality), Does Diem herself have an alter ego that she portrays for entertainment purposes as well? The previews indicate that television CT and Diem did in fact have some type of "relationship" this season. But you have said that Diem has no relationship with CT so is Diem two different people as well?

You might need to carefully examine the definition of "relationship" and its variety of meanings, contextually. My personal view is that she is happy being herself on camera, although it would not surprise me, as I've alluded to earlier, that certain post-surgery meds might induce something one might laughably call a touch of multiple personality disorder. If the edit is accurate, we may also see an occasional "Did I just say that" from Diem, as she becomes very aware of unanticipated affect some things have on her.
Wow,sounds interesting.
I know it's a little offtopic but V1 could you tell us who else plays a character on the show? Most people know that CT and Wes created challenge-personalities. You seem to have met a lot of these people, are there other "actors" on the show or do you think most of them act naturally (with a little over the top camera-seeking behaviour)?

She worked with BMP producers on a general character she would play for challenges. It was essentially a static character but with modifications season to season. Off hand, no other person immediately come to mind from among those I know well, but I stopped working with anyone new from MTV while Cancun was taping. I've been told my some Old School challenge participants that many of the newer cast members act like normal people until the camera crew comes around. I don't necessarily call that adopting a character since its so unprofessionally done. In our reality training program a few years ago, we always encouraged clients to take comedy improvisation classes, because if you are going to consider player a character on TV, you must having timing. Absent good timing, about the only way you can get air time is to do something stupid or outrageous.
Yeah it was obvious to me Beth was always playing a character on challenges. I've lost track of how many women on the challenge it looks like CT is flirting/hooking up with. Anastasia, Nany, Cooke, Diem..I'm probably missing somebody. That's just CT's strategy. He tried it on Rivals 1. I don't know why people in this thread are giving Diem a hard time. She's a grown, single woman and I'm sure she and Chris will alway have some type of connection even if they never get back together. You have a few drinks and get around your attractive ex who you used to be in love with, it's not a big deal if you share a drunken kiss. What I want to know from the previews at the end of the Road to Rivals special is who is Jasmine fighting with?! lol.

I think it was her tongue in cheek way saying it was a character. But then it was evident she was also having fun with it.
In my mind there was no ambiguity when I was writing any prior comment. In context, I've always said that "CT" is a character created for TV. Diem and one time dated Chris. Chris and Diem are friendly off the show, but their lives don't intersect with any planning or regularity. The pic that was posted by someone and then deleted occurred during an unplanned meeting following the NYC premier of The Heat. Chris was in NY for an MTV taping at 1515 Broadway and then attended the premier because he knows some people from the cast (the movie is set in Boston). Diem was there as a reporter covering the premier. They bumped into each other and mingled with a group of their friends afterwards. .
I dont see the character, I thought this guy might have a multiple personality disorder cause castmembers said he changes his clothes several times throughout the day and acts differently based on how hes dressed and even holds the cigarette differently, like the glasses/half button shirt vs over sized under armour/base ball cap, thats just weird. Imo hes either normal or crazy and I dont think his crazy moments were acted, like the beating up of Adam and punching Davis, or pouring beer on Adam or fighting with Coral/Katie/Frank/Diem, I think he just gets drunk and acts stupid. The player act may be fake but I dont see any other part of his behavior to be acting, yelling at Wes may have been fake just to be on rivals 2 but I think thats it. With Wes its obvious hes trying to be obnoxious and get a reaction from viewers, cause you would sound pretty ******** talking like that at work or with your family/friends
Well, for CT, in his fight with Adam, he did have his brother's death on his mind and a lot of anger to get out of his system. He was looking for a fight at that time.

That sounds reliable
Am I the only one who thinks Evelyn and Emily would've dominated this game for the girls?
You mean Johnny kenny and evan? That sounds reliable
Lol yes along with Evelyn, Ev also said she thinks hes weird and she was defending him on rivals, she didnt say it in a mean way she just said have you guys noticed CT is like 2 different ppl when he dresses like bla bla, Kenny was explaining why he thinks CT is weird, johnny also mentioned it on the show and they did like a cut scene showing it, it is weird! He passed the psych test so I'm sure he doesnt really have a mental problem but then again Abram also passed and his behavior is pretty odd (writing your name with feces is not considered normal imo)
I believe Jasmine was fighting/arguing with Ty, and Jemmye and Nany are trying to hold her back.
I believe Jasmine was fighting/arguing with Ty, and Jemmye and Nany are trying to hold her back.
Leave it up to Ty to start drama with the girls. It's his thing apparently.
Yes Ty makes it his duty on every season to start/pick fights with girls. But,he's pretty funny sometimes.
Ty comes across as some boy that sat behind you in elementary school and pulled your hair just to get attention. Not attractive in a grown man. One of my least favorite people on this season.
Ty is just very unpredictable, like on some seasons he's wild, and very confrontational (Cutthroat,Rivals) and other seasons he's less wild and more calm (Exes). Judging from the preview we'll most likely be seeing the Cutthroat and Rivals Ty.
I'm just here reading all these post laughing because I already know who won for the men and women lol.
I'm just here reading all these post laughing because I already know who won for the men and women lol.
We all do...
I'm just here reading all these post laughing because I already know who won for the men and women lol.
You do realize the winners were posted in this forum two months ago, so pretty much anyone posting in this thread also knows who won.
You do realize the winners were posted in this forum two months ago, so pretty much anyone posting in this thread also knows who won.
I just don't understand why people keep wondering who the alliances were since we all know who won.
I just don't understand why people keep wondering who the alliances were since we all know who won.
Just because you know the ending doesn't mean you know the journey.
Just because you know the ending doesn't mean you know the journey.
Touche
Haha and now everyone's laughing at you. Everybody on here already know who won.
Yeah now who's laughing. As or Ty, now there's a guy with multiple personalities. I'm not sure he will work with Leroy as well as he worked with Emily. And he knew on Exes his hookup with Paula would get him camera time. On this challenge, if he doesn't get a hook up, how else will he try to get camera time? By starting with the girls again. Brandon said on Cutthroat and Rivals 1, Ty was making girls cry by bringing up abortions they've had or other sensitive areas.
Damn that's **cked up that's a very low blow to a female.
Haha and now everyone's laughing at you. Everybody on here already know who won.
Nope. Everyone is laughing at you.... FRANK!!!!!
Haha here we go again with people thinking I'm Frank... go ahead your just making yourself look stupid.
Nope. Everyone is laughing at you.... FRANK!!!!!
I'm not laughing, and he's not Frank. I am wondering why you bother -- more like mildly curious in the moment, really.
