Wow so that's the big twist. Wow I can't wait to see how this turns out when they have to pick to see who goes into elimination.

[/QUOTE] Those are my thoughts on the situation... so what if Diem kisses CT out of an old and not-forgotten attraction AND it has the byproduct of boosting her along in the challenge? To be honest, I think CT would have her back whether she made out with him or not. I don't think it's a question of her "lowering herself" to do anything... she seems like a great girl with a good head on her shoulders. (Hopefully seeing the season unfold doesn't make me eat my words!) Also, has anyone else seen the new trailer tonight where Diem is talking about kissing CT and how it was an "amazing moment" or something to that effect? Then it leads into Bird kissing him and slapping him, whereas before we only saw her beating him up out of context.

It is taken entirely out of context for the sole purpose of deceiving people just like you. Diem is not happy about this edit. Perhaps "out of context" should be the new motto of the BMP editing department.

Wow, that is extremely deceitful of them. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but... I still kinda am.

I'm sure CT and Diem are not stupid and they both have to realize that if they do kiss one another (even if just out of a momentary attraction) that footage from past challenges could be edited into the show and that both could be asked about this in a reunion show or in interviews after the show airs. Both CT and Diem have been on a number of challenges by now and I am sure both know how all of this works by now. It's not their first time to the rodeo so to speak. I am sure they are both well aware that producers have a vested interest in making good television and good television means hookups, fights, etc. If CT and Diem truly wanted to be sure that things did not get twisted around or certain things were made to look one way when really it is another way....then you would think they would both be very mindful of staying away from one another after the challenges are over and MTV takes everyone out to the clubs to party. My point is this....do I think CT and Diem are together as a couple outside the challenge...of course not...BUT, you can't make CT and Diem out to be the victims of just a bad edit. The fact is, both CT and Diem play into this. I did not see anyone forcing Diem to kiss CT in that club or vice versa. That was something voluntarily done by both people. So do I think there is some manipulation going on by producers behind the scenes to make CT and Diem into more than what they are....sure....but at the same time CT and Diem could choose to stay away from one another in clubs and not give MTV anything to work with but they don't.

You will probably not say anything about what you have talked to her. So why do you tell us that you have met her? You know that somebody will ask you to reveal something and I guess you will deny it as always. Don't get me wrong, you really help this forum and most of your comments are interesting and/or informative. The prior comment appeared to be in response to my earlier comments and there was no reason for Stefx23, as a new member to know that I know Diem; and, therefore, there might be a nugget or two of wisdom in my earlier comment about Diem's response to the trailer. I'm not going to quote Diem directly, but she has seen the trailer does not feel it is accurately representative. I understand your point of view, but unless the board owner expresses a contrary opinion, I'll continue to hint at some things without revealing details of what has not been shown in any episode or advertising for the show. Both. I just really don't like CT. I mean he's am ***. If you like Diem, why would you want her to be with a man like him? I don't see him doing any good for her or the life she wants to create in the future. Plus we all know V1man will not answer that question...He'll just leave his ^hints* here and there. Plus he rejects every comment someone leaves about CT and Diem being together so I am pretty sure the answer is no.

V1man had an interview lined up with Diem for Vevmo. Perhaps the answer will be displayed then.

Nah, I have to decline. I have no need to foster romantic notions, excepting maybe this situation between Diem/CT and perhaps Zack/Kelly from "Saved by the Bell" when I was little. I'm sure there's a great guy for her in New York, but if he's "the one", then I'm sure he won't have any trouble navigating [I]himself[/I] to her side. :P

That makes you someone who interviewed her and you probably do have a few more insights than others on the board but that doesn't mean that you know everything that there is to know and by the way I am not saying I know everything there is to know either. None of us can possibly know that without being a close personal friend or family member of Diem and I would think no real close personal friend or family member who knew anything important would come on an Internet message board and reveal all....then that person should not be called a close personal friend or family member....that would be a betrayal of Diem's trust. By the way, this is in no way an argument to say that CT and Diem are together outside of the show, I really do not think that they are, it's more just to say that many things in this world are never black and white. I feel some folks either want to totally buy into the CT/Diem relationship or others want to say that of course she would never go near him outside of the challenge, not in a million years, but maybe the answer lies somewhere in the middle. Maybe a friendship perhaps. No one really knows but Chris and Diem. Or maybe I am wrong and they don't even have a friendship....but my point is, no one really knows.

And even from interviews you can't totally tell because do celebrities openly volunteer every detail about how they feel to an interviewer. I do believe Diem is a sincere woman and her interviews are sincere and real but any person who is interviewed, celebrity or not, is going to leave out some details that are too personal to reveal...either on a TV show or in an interview, so that is why I say that we will never know all because do we truly ever know all about anyone unless we can crawl inside their heads.

Based on your insider knowledge.

Okay seriously could we PLEASE keep the CT&Diem saga and the up-tenth discussion of CT's greatness/size in their OWN prospective THREADS, at least then I'd know which threads to avoid... It's off-topic and on top of that I honestly feel like a brain cell of mine dies every time I see the same topic getting revisited again and again and AGAIN... Thank God, the premiere is next week, maybe we will have something new to talk about then...

Off-topic? This is the thread to discuss the trailer and the trailer is implying/promoting a relationship of some sort between Diem and CT. If you want to avoid seeing any posts about CT, Diem or CT+Diem, might I suggest the Big Brother threads?

So CT and Diem kissed in the pool and at a night club. THAT was shown in the trailer. This will-they-won't-they get back together discussion(based on pics taken and on interviews conducted, AFTER the challenge, do technically not belong here....Just as much as the discussion of Tyler's size does not belong in the "Discussion" thread, since he isn't even on the freakin' challenge this season. I have no problem with folks wanting to discuss the relationship status of people they have no personal knowledge of, but I do not feel inclined to read about it..(mainly because the same points are made all over again)

In context, I've always said that "CT" is a character created for TV. Diem and one time dated Chris. Chris and Diem are friendly off the show, but their lives don't intersect with any planning or regularity. The pic that was posted by someone and then deleted occurred during an unplanned meeting following the NYC premier of The Heat. Chris was in NY for an MTV taping at 1515 Broadway and then attended the premier because he knows some people from the cast (the movie is set in Boston). Diem was there as a reporter covering the premier. They bumped into each other and mingled with a group of their friends afterwards. MTV is going to exploit whatever it can to capture an audience. It's what producers do in desperate times as they grasp for ratings. They have created a significant back story for viewers based on a relationship from a long time ago and some fiction in recent years. I think a couple of factors are at play for those who are aggravated by commentary about them. First, many smart people simply find the fiction of the relationship to be obvious and think less of people who so easily buy into the promotional BS. Then there are the few who, thinking there might actually be a relationship, like to dump on anyone's good fortune. There obviously are other reasons, but the vast majority of "hate mail" PMs I receive from people expressing those two opinions. One person asked me if I thought the lives of the romanticists "believers" were perhaps pathetic and that resulted in the fantasy that "CT and Diem" were together. I have no idea. I'm as happy as many to be done with this topic, but your question about my intention was too enticing to ignore.
