What a cast, some are actually famous. I wish they'd stop using the earpiece twist, but that was amazing, great actresses.
Cast
Cheryl Fergison - Soap Actress
Coleen Nolan - Singer and TV Presenter
Harvey - Rapper
Julian Clary - Comedian
Julie Goodyear - Soap Actress
Martin Kemp - Spandau Ballet singer and Actor
Mike The Situation - Jersey Shore
Samantha Brick - Made world wide news when she wrote an article about how amazing good looking she is
Lorenzo Borghese - Italian prince, appeared on The Bachelor
Ashley McKenzie - Olympian, bit of a nobody really
Rhian Sugden - A nobody, kiss and tell, glamor model
Jasmine Lennard - A nobody, kiss and tell, glamor model
Danica Thrall - A nobody, kiss and tell, glamor model
Does it bother you that they're using people like The Situation instead of famous people from the UK? It bothers me just reading that he's going to be on and I don't even watch BBUK. I think he'd be ridiculously out of place...

There is always a couple of Americans in each season. Tara Reid, Micheal Madsen, Dennis Rodman, a few Jacksons.
Actually Dog the Bounty Hunter was supposed to be the 14th housemate but he was denied visa because of a murder conviction.

But does it bother you? It's not like the UK has a shortage of celebrities.

I can't think of any reason why it would bother me, other than that he will be taking his obviously substantial paycheck straight out of the country.

Fair enough. Maybe it's just because the Situation (and Tara Reid, and Dennis Rodman, and all of the Jacksons) are cringe-worthy celebrities in my opinion. Not who I'd want representing the US.

With any luck, GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca will find a way to bring that money back to the UK...

I'll be interested to see how Spencer and Heidi have grown (or not) after a couple years out of the public eye.
Can't say I'm that excited, but then again its something to watch.
This is the rumored cast, I expect it too be wrong.
Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt - The Hills
Frankie Dettori - Horse Jockey
Gillian Taylforth - Soap actress
Rylan Clark - X Factor joke contestant
Lacey Banghard - Topless model
Ryan Moloney - Australian soap actor

ENJOY!!

Lindsay Lohan is in London for NYE. She is rumored pretty much every season, so you never know she may be sticking around for the month.

I wish there was Celeb BB in the US. :/
Or at least a way to watch this in the US.
I heard though that apparently the format in the UK version is different from the US format, can someone explain?

On the previous page i posted a link to a youtube account that has the last season of BBUK, CelebBBUK, and BBAUS
It is pretty drastically different if you ask me... here are a few things that set it apart from the US version:
-Each housemate nominates 2 ppl per week (in Celeb its every 3 days i think since its shortened to 3 weeks)
-Public votes Housemates out
-There are no HOH and POV comps
-Competitions are mainly held to win a certain amount of money for each weeks shopping list... they can also be to win parties, money, and other fun prizes
-Housemates are NOT allowed to talk about nominations with each other AT ALL. Therefore it is much more difficult to create stable alliances, since most ppl just nom who they prefer themselves.
-Housemates actually sound normal in confessionals... it doesn't sound scripted and super edited like the US version :P
I'm sure there are a few others, but those are the main differences!! And there is always tons of drama!! So don't worry about the "no alliances" thing, because somehow these guys always manage to create chaos inside the BB house.
Oh yeah and one more thing... their house is amazing compared to the US house!! (although the new BBAUS still wins for best bb house ever)
It's always hard for me to gauge how famous the British housemates actually are because they really hype them all as if they're A-List. Whenever I see any hot, young girl on I just assume she's actually far from a "celebrity". Just based on how they've all been hyped, it seems to me that the most famous people to go in so far have been Vinnie Jones, Stephanie Beacham, Julie Goodyear, and Michael Barrymore. Any British Vevmoers, would I be correct?

I'd say these are the most famous.
Vinnie Jones
Mark Owen
George Galloway
Michael Barrymore
Coleen Nolan
Martin Kemp
Natalie Cassidy
Julie Goodyear
Denise Welch
Cheryl Fergison
The last 5 were main characters in one of the two main soaps, so they are very well known but not exactly A-list. In fact most of them are probably better known by their characters name, especially Cheryl and Natalie.

Just out of curiosity, which regular HMs have gone on to be the most successful? I know Jade did very well until she went on CBB, and Kate is on a popular radio station, but I don't really know much about what most of the others have been up to since their series ended.
Lindsay Lohan -- I Am NOT Doing 'Celebrity Big Brother' | TMZ.com
After her appearance in Scary Movie 5 I am actually glad.

Not heard of Kate's radio show.
Alison from BB3 is the only person I can think of that really managed to make a lasting career out of appearing on the show. She became a correspondent on the main morning show, and from what I know is still doing that.
Imogen from BB7 got a few presenting jobs recently after it came out that she had been giving a gagging order over an affair she had with a famous footballer. I would imagine she is the most followed on twitter.
Anthony from BBCH won bronze at London 2012 in the Boxing.
Apart from them, everyone else has faded into the abyss, some fast than others.
I'm more impressed by what the hosts have gone on to do. Dermot hosting The X Factor, James Corden winning the 2012 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor and Russell Brand didn't half do well for himself.

Hmm, well that's interesting to know. Hopefully I'll get around to watching this season, and then I'll decide for myself what I think of this format.
Starts tonight, this is the opening night "twist": Six Celebrity Big Brother housemates to live in grotty basement | The Sun
I'm wondering if it really is a basement, or just an adjacent room they are calling a basement. Because it would be pretty cool if they have made the house multistorey.
In other news. Comedian Jim Davidson, who was a definite for going into the house tonight, is no longer going in due to the fact that he was arrested yesterday afternoon under suspicion of child sexual abuse.

sounds good!! can't wait to see how the celebrities feel about living in the basement haha sucks for them... can't believe Heidi and Spencer are gunna be on it. Uggggh Hope they are out soon! lol

I can't stand them, but I want them to stay for 2 reasons:
1) they're amazing entertainment
2) I actually know who they are

Oh my you actually know them personally?!! Are they anything like they were on the Hills or "Get Me Out of Here, I'm a Celebrity" in real life?!!

lol no I don't know them, I just know who they are! They're the only ones from this season that I can say that for.
I think the fact that they have to wear name tags going into the house says a lot. Paula thinking Ryan was a production chaperone when he walked in was rather hilarious though.

oh my god that was sooo funny. She even asked him to help her up like she was 80 years old.
First time watching bb uk and I'm not sure what to think about it yet, will keep watching for now.

Yay fresh meat!! I hope you like it!! I wasn't so sure at first when i started BBUK13 last summer but i am so into it now that I find it almost unbearable to watch the US version. The UK ppl are just so much more lively and fun once they are settled into the house and doing the competitions... whereas the US version its talk talk talk about just strategy stuff. You don't really get to know anything about their lives. (at least imo haha)
So far my early favourites are Ryan, Sam, Gillian, Claire, and Frankie... they all seemed fairly likeable (aside from Sam's cocky video) so I hope they do well. Feel bad Ryan was put in the basement... he is by far my fav. Very nice guy! Razor was kinda funny too.
Can't stand Spencer (Heidi's not too bad) and Paula. They just seemed to full of themselves.
On the fence with Lacey, Rylan, and Tricia.
Apparently there is gonna be another big twist today that could possibly change everything...
And does anyone think the basement is just that side room in the garden that they use for challenges... like the "White Room" in BBUK13?
