Marlon also tweeted something along the lines of "get ready for January" and tweeted at his fellow cast mates.
Or something like that... So who knows really, other than BMP themselves.
Nia also claims she is the reason for the season and that she basically brought a ton of drama to the final season.
Who says it's the final season?
On Comcast.com it says that January 1/2013 at 11:00- 11:06 P.M. They are airing something Real World Related for 6 minutes. The casting director with the twitter handle: @Iwanttocastyou tweeted that on January we are getting the trailer. If I am not wrong they always promote each season for a month before the first episode.

We've already pointed this out; just make sure you read through the previous pages before posting ;)
Oh, god, I hope this isn't the last season.
I also hope the time slot isn't gonna be at 11, that would be terrible.
It can't be airing in January, they haven't been showing any previews for it, and the start date hasn't been revealed yet, right?

Randos on twitter have been saying "Feb 1st", which is a friday, so I doubt it.
The promos had better be running just as much as Buckwild one the 6 minute preview airs. (Seriously, if I hear "JUST BUCK IT!" one more m***** f'ing time..)

Agreed
Comcast updated their site, according to them. They are not airing nothing real world related on January 1st anymore, but just a re-run on MTV tres on January 2nd at 1:00- 2:00 A.M.:

YvanEthtnioj already wrote this, most likely it's taking the Buckwild time slot on February.
Buckwild 2 episodes back to back, 6 weeks
Jan. 3 will mark the premiere of Buckwild, which will be taking over Jersey Shore’s timeslot of Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST and air two back-to-back 30 minutes episodes each week. The network will broadcast 12 episodes for the first season.
If that's right then the last episode of Buckwild will be on February 7th, if they don't have a reunion.
They always promote each season of the Real World for about a month:
Las Vegas Trailer: 2/3/11 Premiere: 3/9/11
San Diego Trailer: 8/24/11 Premiere: 9/28/11
St.thomas Trailer: 5/29/12 Premiere: 6/27/12
If it's actually taking that time slot then we are getting a trailer in a week or two.

I just checked TVguide.com and it looks like the preview has been moved to January 8th at 11.
Keeping with the trend that you pointed out, it should air February 14th IF it's getting Buckwild's time slot

Well if that's the case, that would be good for me since that's my birthday, but bad for the show because that's Valentine's Day, and unless the rest of MTV's audience is single like me, they won't be at home watching the Real World.

I forgot about valentines day lol I think MTV learned their lesson after airing St.Thomas on the 4th of july since Battle of the Seasons skipped Halloween and thanksgiving. I don't think they would premiere a season on valentines day.
If buckwild has a reunion then it can air on the 14? Making the season premiere on the 21st if Real world actually take the Thursday time slot.
But then again it can also take the teen Mom time slot, they just have 5 episodes and 2 parts reunion to go. If they don't air two back two episodes like they did for last season, it will be done on February 18th. Making the Real world premiere on February 25th if it take this time slot. Also, if it take this time slot it would make sense why they moved Bad girls club to Tuesdays nights. Since BMP wouldn't be stupid enough to put 2 shows they produce go against each other fighting for ratings, they have never done it and I don't think they will ever do it.
I am done guessing the premiere date, I assume it has to be either monday or thursday on february. Since Tuesday and wednesday are premiering shows the week after nexts of shows that have 12 episodes of 1 hour each. Also, that we are getting the trailer sometime January since a casting director wrote it on twitter like a week or 2 ago.
trailer airs jan 8th at 11
I just check TVguide.com, I think they haven't update their site or they are wrong since are they aring the trailer everyday? Plus I have never seen them announced a trailer on their TV listining before:
MTV Tue, Jan 8 11:00 PM The Real World
MTV Wed, Jan 9 10:00 PM The Real World
MTV Wed, Jan 9 11:00 PM The Real World
MTV Thu, Jan 10 1:45 PM The Real World
MTV Fri, Jan 11 12:02 AM The Real World
For Wed, Jan 9 at 10 and 11 Comcast says MTV is airing two back to back premiere episodes of Washington Heights and nothing Real world related.
''MTV Wed, Jan 9 10:00 PM The Real World MTV
Wed, Jan 9 11:00 PM The Real World''
Those two are supposedly hour long episodes on the regular MTV not MTV tres. Which doesn't make sense since Washington height is premiering that day. Whatever time will tell.

This true however not everyone relationship or otherwise necessarily goes out on V-Day
This true however not everyone relationship or otherwise necessarily goes out on V-Day
I was checking and Teen mom 2 season finale was on February 14, 2012 and it had 3.459 million viewers.
I personally think it would be kind of dumb to premiere a show on February 14th , if they actually want the Real world to survived.
Portland is not the last season. I have a friend who works in sales for Viacom, specifically MTV. Real World is not going anywhere. It may not have the ratings it had years ago, but it still has CONSISTENT ratings. For a cable network like MTV, a over a million viewers every week is pretty good. Not to mention, the audience is extremely targeted and narrow which is key for advertisers who want that demographic (trojan, army strong, subway etc.)
