I'd say that more people speak English in Tokyo than in Rio or Spain.
True. Though I used to work at Disney World and Brazilians are the world's largest tour group; most of the ones I came in contact with spoke broken, broken English. lol
I do agree that a Tokyo season would never happen, Canada is more realistic
I just hope that when/if they end this show, it won't be until AFTER I am on it. And I just want the show to go out with a bang. I want the final season to end up being the best season ever (or close to it, rather, haha). And MTV will have a real and final Real World finale, having everyone (or most people) that have ever been on the Real World (or Road Rules or FM even) there to celebrate the end an era. And even show marathons of some of the best RW seasons, or at least just air episodes of each season with the highlights of that season.
Although this will most likely not happen, and RW will go out with a whimper instead. :(
Sorry for double posting, but I was watching a rerun of How I Met Your Mother earlier today and Marshall said "I feel like I'm living in the Real World house! The earlier seasons, when they actually had jobs, not Hawaii and after!"
Very random, but I thought I'd mention it.

No offense, but what makes your story unique? I'm not sure I'd watch if they cast a superfan..Everything would seem fake.
Take Frank for example..

Well would I TELL them I'm a superfan? **** no. I actually do have a unique story but I'm not going to share it for the whole world to see.... if I'm picked to be on the show, then you'll find out. Or I can PM my story to you if you want.
I've got to admit as a superfan, if I ever gave the producers the honor of applying for the show I'd make sure the season was all about me, every single second.

The fact that you're registered on Vevmo essentially makes your chances of getting on the show 0%
Well I would rather them cast "superfans" than people that have never seen the show before or know nothing about it (oh, hai Ashley)
Superfans know too much about the show. They would either A)Try to make sure their story got the most camera time or B)Attempt to hide parts about them.
However, there are people like Colie and Marie who admitted they were fans of the show and were still real and honest.
I can't apply for the show now anyways since I'm only 18, but when I get closer to being 21 (if the show is still on at that time) I guess I might have to consider leaving the forum in the future.....or something like that.
So I just saw this on Reddit, and was very surprised to see one name:

The E! True Hollywood Story about The Real World
Exciting, although I think I'll leave it for another season and hope its renewed. I could only really do it if it started after June next year.
My guess is that casting calls with come out around late Nov or December with the trailer for Portland airing at the BOS reunion.
Random article that I found interesting

My favorite moment HAS to be #9. I remember my reaction when Julie said that.. "like really? -___-"
TBH its going to suck for anyone on Season 29 because they will just be constantly compared to the greatness of Portland.
Totally agree. Just like San Diego after Vegas. (Though I still don't know what the casting department was aiming for..) SD had really good ratings following LV because everyone was expecting something amazing. Instead, they got..well.. ya tu sabes.

Maybe we should wait until the show even starts before we start calling Portland a great season.
Wow, Swift...

Hilarious because I go to Temple. Wish I saw this ....
I had no idea the first original season of Vegas filmed for six months. Wow that is a long time. Now they only film for 2 and a half months? I feel like they should film a little bit longer and they would get more footage. They want the real world to be as good as it used to be then they need to start doing things how they did in the past. Maybe six months is a little long but 2 and a half seems short.
I thought the average was 4 months? or it used to be at least... I would love it if it was like that again. Much more time to develop their relationships, plus a lot more footage to edit together. I guess budget costs are more hard to get around but maybe they should spend less on the house and more on making it a good show about the true lives and drama of 7 strangers.
I used to live with 7 guys (9 in total since 2 were kicked out and replaced) during an internship last semester for 4 months. I can say first hand that we were all soooo different culturally and personality wise that if you put a camera in the apartment, it could have passed for a season of RW. I think it depends on the cast, really. If the room mates are dynamic enough, 3 - 4 months is far more than enough.
