I thought it best we start off this NFL season with a report from South Beach: Chad Johnson arrested for domestic violence.
This will be great for HBO and Hard Knocks.
The first episode was great! Not sure how this will factor in. I think he might just disappear.
If the allegations have sustenance, they have to cut him. I doubt the cameras will be around for that.
I'm calling it right now if the Chicago Bears can stay generally healthy this season the WILL win the Super Bowl. I been a die hard fan since I was 10 years old and this is the 1st time I feel extremely confident in my team is going to win it all if they can stay healthy we saw last season before Cutler and Forte went down with season ending injuries the Bears were the hottest team in the league next to the Packers and it those 2 didn't go down the Bears would of easily went 11-5, made the playoffs, and ultimately lose to either the Saints or Giants in the playoffs. But this year with the arrival of Brandon Marshall, Forte resigning, drafting Alshon Jefferey, Signing back ups Jason Campell and Michael Bush as insurance policy's, and most importantly a healthy Jay Cutler the Bears offense is poised for a good year for the 1st time in my life the Bears might have a great offense. Their are some doubt about our o-line but I think over time they'll improve and their is doubt about our defense mostly because our big stars are "old" but I think the younger guys on the d-line and secondary will have a really good year. But the fact of the matter is the Packers will still be the team to beat in the NFC North and will be hard to unseat as one of the toughest teams in the NFL but they got exposed big time in the playoffs by the Giants meaning they had no run game and their defense is weak the Giants showed to beat the Packers you got to score, run the ball, control the clock, and pressure Rodgers don't let him feel conformable.

The Bears aren't winning the Super Bowl. They are good, but there are DEFINITELY some teams that are better than them.
On a completely different note, Andrew Luck had an AMAZING first game! Looking forward to his season. And now his stock in Fantasy went up for me..
Don't get me wrong Andrew Luck got a great future ahead of him but he doesn't have the talent around him he'll struggle a little bit this season and if he can lead the Colts to at least 6 wins that'll be a good year for him and the team. On another the the Bears are going to smoke him in the season opener he's going to get welcomed to the NFL by Jullius Peppers and Brian Urlacher. Also he's going to get a front row seat to the Cutler/Marshall show he'll get to see the value of a QB/WR Connection in the NFL.

Wow looks lime his NFL Career is over. Miami was the only team who wanted him and now they cut him. I guess for his NFL career it's time to kiss the baby as Ochocino would say LOL
No one is assuming, police reported he did hit Evelyn. He went to jail, it's not like a made up story. I would have cut him the same time! I have 0 respect & for men that put their hands on women, no excuses what so ever.
Either way, I'm sorry but the Bears will probably just make the playoffs, they won't win the SB haha, especially with 49ers, GB, & Giants in the NFC (it's really on fair how stack the NFC is! Two teams should be in the SB, because I'm 100% sure Patriots wouldn't have such an easy schedule, or road to the SB).
I'm still going with Ravens vs 49ers Super Bowl, just by gut feeling. I want my Giants to repeat, but with their schedule it will be difficult.
I think this season the team to watch out for is the Panthers I got a feeling they're going to have a real good season.
I don't think the Patriots are going to make it to the Super Bowl this year I think the most dangerous team in the AFC is the Texans if they can stay healthy they're definitely the favorite to win the AFC in my opinion the other team I see winning it is the Ravens the only reason I put them behind the Texans is because I don't trust Flacco to take them to the Super Bowl not saying I have a whole lot of faith in Matt Schaub but if he and Andre Johnson are healthy along with Arian Foster the Texans have a bit of a better offense.
So happy can't wait until the regular season starts! I'm a huge cowboys fan and I always get disappointed but hopefully they are playoff contenders this year.
I'm taking bets: Who will be in the Super Bowl?
My guess is Green Bay V. Houston. Call me crazy, but if Matt Schaub can stay healthy as well as Arian Foster & Andre Johnson, their offense is one of the top in the league. And their defense isn't too bad either. The AFC is week and I think the Texans can beat the Patriots in a potential AFC Championship match. And as for the Packers, well Rodgers is just a beast and he does have some great weapons to throw the ball to. And the defense is great, especially the secondary. If they can get Cedric Benson, their ground game will be getting a lot better. So that's my little analysis on the Super Bowl this year.
However, I'm going to be doing a little research on something and see if that changes my mind ;)
I doubt the cameras will be around for that.
Well, it looks like the cameras were around for that.
In the end, I agree with coach Philbin's decision to part ways.
I looked like an easy kill to cut Chad he wasn't really impressive in camp and overall he's a huge distraction to the team. You have a rookie QB, a rookie head coach, and they're trying to change the culture in the Miami Dolphin organization so cutting Chad was the right decision.

Not necessarily. Chad is a good veteran receiver who has proven himself. And although he was a bad influence, he also brought a lot to the team with his skills on the field. Who else do the Dolphins have on their team at the receiver position? No one notable to me.
Fab, are you watching football today? Isn't it exciting!
I had my fair run in with Pats fans this past weekend, that I decided to skip watching this debauchery of a game ;)
Fab, aren't you from Tennessee? ;)
Yes, yes I am. The Pats fans swarmed in on Downtown this past week (I work down there) and were EVERYWHERE. It was awful.
I think it's time for Goodell to finally buckle and give the real refs what they want because the last 3 weeks these replacements have been a joke. Last night was a prime example 2 things Seattle's Golden Tate should of been flagged for offensive pass interference and that ball was clearly picked off by the Packers at the end.
I can't wait for the documentaries about these 3+ weeks of replacement officials.
I am looking forward to The Replacements 2 with a focus on the replacement officials rather than players. Keanu Reeves could reprise his role as Shane Falco who has now become an NFL coach or fledgling high school/DII official looking to make it big.
I didn't know there was a thread for this!
I love watching football, but I'm sad right now cause of the Pats...
Unfortunately, the Pats will be fine. This is the weakest I have seen the AFC in quite some time.
