Battle of the Seasons: San Diego - Frank, Zach, Ashley, Sam

Everything has turned upside down since the last time we saw Team San Diego. Blonde bombshell Ashley and muscle jock Zach were inseparable lovers during their season, but after a sour breakup, Zach confesses, "Ashley ripped my heart out, put it in a blender and served it to me for breakfast." But how will Ashley react when Zach hooks up with another girl in the house? Hothead Frank enters the game hell-bent on leading his team, but Zach has other ideas. These two alpha males hated each other during their season, but arrive at Battle of the Seasons hoping to change that, as Frank admits, "The thing that means the most to me is being able to cross the finish line with Zach. I wouldn't want to cross the finish line with anybody else." Frank and Zach may be friends for now, but will the pressures of the game reignite their past hatred? Rounding out the team is Sam, the least athletic and most politically inept teammate, who is out to prove to her team that she is a worthy asset. Will San Diego be able to start fresh and compete with a clean slate? Or will their toxic past rise up and destroy their chances of winning? via MTV

I'm actually rooting for this team. On a completely shallow note, Zach is fine as hell. Frank is a drama queen, he's like Ryan on steroids. Can't stand Ashley but she'll be good for TV. Sam is eh.
Zach is overrated on an attractive level imo. Sam is boring, Frank is obnoxious and Ashley is beautiful.

Still feel like this season should be shunned from MTV. Frank has to be the most annoying attention-hungry freak in the world.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing them on this challenge. Sure, I hate Frank as much as the next person, but I want to see how he'll do as a competitor, chances are he'll either surprise me or he'll be reallyyy bad. I remember seeing Ashley going to the gym a lot during her season, so I think she could be pretty decent. Zach is a beast and I think he'll do really well as far as physical challenges go. Sam could either be a hit or miss for me.
I actually really like Ashley, Sam, and Zach. They're all cool in my book. Ashley seems like she'd have a lot of endurance since she hit the treadmill at the gym a lot. Zach is... well, Zach. He'll be able to pull a W in a strength challenge. I have no idea about Sam, but she's awesome - so she should do well. Frank is a d-bag.
Despite the fact that Frank is extremely obnoxious and that Sam is boring, I’m rooting for them. I love Zach and Ashley, and they all seem like good to great athletes. But I think Ashley feels alone at this point, and if they all gang up on her, she’s not going to feel comfortable and supported. That’s where they’ll crumble. By the way, anyone knows what happened to Zach and Ashley?
I didn't see a whole lot of their season so I don't know much about them..but I think they'll be a solid team if they can work together.
Oh please, you've got 3 athletes and a smart girl, who comes in handy for puzzles and with her 100lbs can be easily picked up by the three-story house, which is Zach...a no brainer...
By the way, anyone knows what happened to Zach and Ashley?
They broke up.
They broke up.
Does anyone know why?
I can already tell that I'm gonna hate this team, just like I despised their season. Something about them rubs me the wrong way.
Does anyone know why?
I'd hope Zach and Ashley do. I'm sure there are other people who know. No one's said anything and frankly, it's not really any of our business why they broke up - just that they did. Based on Zach's words, it sounds like she broke up with him...but that's just what it sounded like to me.
They broke up.
Oh ha ha.

But I will tell you this, she wasn't the same person we all saw in real world. She would be your best friend/ girl friend if she thought you would be beneficial to her "career"! And if there is no use of you for her, then she will move on to the next one!
Oh ha ha.
Hey, you asked what happened, not why it happened ;)
Is it possible for only Franklin to get sent into an elimination round and go home? I like the other peeps, but Frank kind of ruins me liking this team 100%.
Cannot wait to see if Zach is as beastmode as I think he'll be. Also cannot wait to see how Ashley reacts to him and Jonna hooking up. Speaking strictly on looks, seems like a downgrade to me (but a massive upgrade in personality).
I only saw about half this season, so I'm guessing that Frank's crazy side came back for a late-season appearance or two.
Am I the only one who got the "gay" vibe. I felt that last season with his overly homophobic tendencies. Now this season we got this?

Ugh seeing Frank in the premiere just reminds me of why I hated him so much during San Diego.
After hearing that Zach and Frank had made amends I was excited to see the growth they all made. Apparently, Frank did not grow along with his teammates. Zach seems like a different person, and while we didn't get to see too much of Sam or Ashley, there was one shot of Ashley hanging on Frank's shoulders during Don't Cross Me that showed she was friendly with him. Then there's Frank... who instantly told Ashley off, and while he was "proud of her" later in the episode, I didn't see a different side of him. Having a good time with Zach was cool, but then he started drama with Wes and Robb for no reason. Oh, and yelling at Sam didn't help either (granted, she probably shouldn't have yelled at him first).
I wouldn't claim he started stuff for no reason. He seemed pretty smashed to me, and in that environment that's just a recipe for fights to happen. Also remember he loves his camera time, so some of that could have been contrived.
I guess I'm going off the idea that he seemingly just went up to Wes and said "I'm not sacred of you" with no real reason to (unless I missed Wes saying something) and then he said he wanted to "**** with Robb," then in the middle of Zach telling him to calm down he pushed Robb. I know he's a camera *****, but it was just obnoxious.
