I've heard from a reliable source we're looking at a Salt Lake City location for season 28
Oh really?
Not sure how reliable of a source that is. I live in Utah now...I can kind of see a season filming here...maybe more of a Challenge in Park City than anything...

First Orlando, then Portland, and now Utah.. it all sounds like just a bunch of speculation IMO.

I agree. I feel like starting a rumor for no reason.
The next season will be in Tulsa. Yeah, Tulsa. Tell your friends.
I think the Orlando rumor may be a by-product of a couple different shows MTV has crossing through that area. The only reason I could see them doing Salt Lake would be if there was a Sundance tie-in somehow.

Well isn't production supposed to start in early 2013? The Sundance Film Fest is in January, but I don't think it will happen.
Salt Lake City is a city I've heard as well. This one might have some legs on it.
I prefer Portland over Salt Lake City, but a new location is always welcomed.

I doubt they would hold onto a cast for half a year, since Season 28 has had an cast for 5 days now.

False. Season 28 had finals week last week. They don't have a finalized cast yet.

I was going off this
Looks like tomorrow they'll have a complete cast for RW 28.

I was going off this
Yes, but finals took the entire week. I have evidence that proves this.
If there is a finalized cast at this point, it was decided in the last 24-48 hours and the cast probably does not know yet.

Oh, they should tell them tomorrow as a nice July 4th present.

Oh, God. Please don't let Chet Cannon be a new executive producer for Real World.

Really? Where in Utah do you live? I live in Ogden.

Well you have two people on this forum that live in Utah. I'm a half hour away from Salt Lake. If it is here, I'll definitely be on the prowl for updates for you guys.
It was perhaps a joke.
Oh, ok then. For me, it's hard to tell if something's a joke or not when it's on the internet, cause obviously I can't hear the person's tone in the way they're saying it. Hope I'm not the only one.
There has been so many factors that's been getting put into this, so for the exact time of when the casting is completely done is not for sure. I just had a Skype interview on Tuesday, so I doubt its over. It also wouldn't make sense to have the casting process pretty much be done so quickly, but hey who knows. I think the best thing is to just submit your stuff and wait to see what will happen.

It's over. You're interviewing for season 29.
How do you know?
Because they've already had finals for season 28.
PS: I hope you're not the only Marine who had a Skype interview on Tuesday...
That's based directly from two BMP employees.
Ahh, well if that's the truth then it is what it is. If it's for a season 29 then thats cool too. Yea and I doubt I'm probably not the only Marine that they have Skyped, but why would you say that? It makes it sound like I'm a bad person.

Because one of the conditions of the casting process is not going on other websites telling people what portion of casting you are in. It can disqualify you from being on the cast - especially if you give away information that could identify you.
We never encourage people to use personal details when talking about where they are in the casting process. If you're the only Marine that they Skyped with on Tuesday...well, you could be ****ed.

Gotcha, that makes sense but at the same time it's not like I know what specific round it is, nor am I letting any info go in regards to the casting. I hear ya tho.

If you read through this thread and some of the other casting threads here...you should know exactly which round the Skype interview is.
The point is, say your name is Kevin Miller. And you register here with the username kevinmiller32 (because 32 is one of your lucky numbers). Then your first post says something like "omg guys I just got the call I'm going to finals June 22nd!!!"
Not only do we know that you are a finalist, we know your name. We'd be able to crosscheck you for validity and know if you're telling the truth or lying in a matter of minutes. And BMP now knows that we know one person in the finals. They read this thread - regularly. And you would probably be disqualified. They don't like to make things too easy on us.
The Skype interview is not far into the process, especially if you did not go to an open call. However, I highly recommend not discussing any part of your personal casting process in the future if you'd actually like to be on the show.

Now that makes sense. See I would have never known that. Good thing you mentioned it and I'm not the Kevin Miller guy, lol. That and I don't know how the casting process works so I honestly don't know what round that is. I only skimmed thru some of the threads. Thanks for the heads up though.
