The Real World 28 Casting

Do we know if semi-finals has even taken place yet?

I have a feeling this season will be in a cooler (weather wise that is) location considering our last 4 seasons have been in warm places (St Thomas, San Diego, Las Vegas, New Orleans) which are more south, so maybe somewhere further north like back to Seattle maybe, cause that was a popular season? Or maybe somewhere new like Portland? Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal? Detroit? Pittsburgh? Tell me what you all think.

Tell me what you all think.[/QUOTE] I think that trying to apply the law of averages to a show that will beat the glue out of a dead horse isn't the best theory to be going with, but sure, why not (except for those Canadian places, Detroit, or Pittsburgh)

Although, whats wrong with having it in Canada, Detroit or Pittsburgh? They haven't been to those places, and I think they seem like they could be interesting. Detroit and Pittsburgh would probably be like Brooklyn or something, and Canada just seems like it could be fun to me.

Detroit and Pittsburgh would probably be like Brooklyn or something, and Canada just seems like it could be fun to me.[/QUOTE] Since it looks like they will be filming in winter, I just wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for a northern climate in places where there wouldn't be a ton to do outside your doorstep unless they were filming at a ski resort, but it is possible they may chose "Arctic conditions".

Wasn't there something awhile ago in an article or something that said you must be 21 prior to March 31 2013? So I'm pretty sure they're filming next spring

Can someone message me or post it in this thread on how to submit casting tapes via YouTube privately? & if you post it to YouTube privately & send it to BMP post address will you be disqualified for submitting it twice?

Until then, stick to sending the tape/dvd.

Well it would be a really long filming break if they didn't start 'til the winter.

I have a friend who's a casting agent for BMP and she told me this about an hour ago... Sorry!

It would just seem odd that they were doing first telephone/skype interviews just a few weeks ago if they are locked on the cast already.

Her response to me was pretty terse. It just said "Real world 28 is pretty much done casting." To me, that means it's in its final stages, which would indicate they essentially know who they want and have a short list for it.

Do you think if you haven't heard back from the Skype interview by now, they're not interested? Or are they still contacting people?

The first week or so of the month, I saw social networking posts from people sayig they had been called, one talking about a skype interview, and one talking about a camera interview. When I creeped around yesterday, I didn't find any more recent references to anybody having a Real World audition. If they are not filming until next year, there is plenty of time for the equation to change and there have been people rejected for one season who were asked back the next.

Looks like tomorrow they'll have a complete cast for RW 28.

He told me that they asked him a ton of questions about things like Obamacare , how he felt on gay rights, etc..he also said that during his frist group interview they told him season 28 would have "people who have more controversial backgrounds and views than past seasons". As odd as it may seem, his dad and brother[B] are active[/B] in the ***. So if he didn't get picked, then I'm sure that this will be one hell of a cast.

Of course, I think having strong opinions political or otherwise are simply a barometer for their ability to manipulate the cast into drama by forcing them to do or not do certain things.

If the answer is yes, then I wouldn't bet on that being the case.

It's really sad, actually. I think that may have been the double-edged sword that killed him during casting. He also said that they showed him pictures of the Brooklyn, DC, and Chicago cast and asked his views on them. Does that mean that this may be a more serious type season?
