The Heat arent a great team, their a team with 3 great players that for some reason don't play well together when it matters most.
I agree with that for the most part. I don't think you always create a championship team by buying up superstars. With all the money they are spending on those contracts, they could have cheaper role players if the got rid of one of the big three.
I just think it's very hard to be number 1 in anything when you're going up against such talented competition. There is no magic formula for success or chemistry. I think it would be comical to fire Spoelstra after the team got this deep in the playoffs
This is one of the best performances ever in the Playoffs...Lebron single-handedly beat the stuffing out of the Celtics tonight...on to Miami for game 7.
LeBron's performance tonight was incredible.
If there is no pressure LeBron is the best player in the game. The Celtics could not keep this one close.

How was there no pressure it was an elimination game
If there is no pressure LeBron is the best player in the game. The Celtics could not keep this one close.
There was pressure...it was the playoffs, game 6 of the WCF, and it was win or go home.

LeBron was under a ton of pressure this game.
LeBron was under a ton of pressure this game.
There is a difference between being under pressure to win a game and being under pressure with 3 seconds left to win a game. If you can not understand the difference, you just can't and there is nothing I can say.
Moving on, The Truth will set us free in game seven...

Yeah there is a difference but he had to carry this team tonight, wade played like a scrub. There was pressure and if you can't see it then your blind. You are like the Skip Bayless of Vevmo, except instead of being a spurs homer you are a celtics homer :p.

Read my previous note AND...
If you start running up a lead, that is that.
It is where LJ is awesome. In the "we are up by 10" range. In that part of the basketball world, he is the best. In the "We are down by 1 " range - he does a quick ball shuffle to Wade.
The game was beautiful tonight, I was scared that the Celtics could have caught up with the Heat; fortunately the Heat played well tonight and will try again on Saturday. Mike Miller is a rebound machine, his passes were a bit off, but he did well. The team overall did well tonight.

The Heat were on point and the Celtics never contended. Especially after the poor "in the act of shooting" call on Pierce that was his third foul and had him sit for the remainder of the first half.
I'm not concerned. The Celtics needed to lose to win. It is in their DNA. It is what makes KG go primal and Pierce think about running all night on LeBron.
The Celtics are pros. I have no worries. It will be fun.
Sorry, I agree with everyone else. You have to credit LeBron with that performance, and I say that as a Celtics fan. I don't even remember Jordan putting up a stat line in one half like 30 on 12/14 shooting, in an elimination game.
The Heat arent a great team, their a team with 3 great players that for some reason don't play well together when it matters most.
I'd go with only 2, I've never been convinced Bosh is among the elite at Center or PF.

KG and Rondo I am not worried about, but Pierce has been way too up and down this postseason. I think if the C's lose this next game he may get traded.
That trade can't happen financially. The Heat would be taking in nearly $47 million in salaries while only giving up $34.5 million. I don't think either team would do that trade either, if salaries weren't an issue. The Heat would be trading D-Wade for someone who dominates the ball even more and the Lakers would be getting rid of the face of their franchise and downgrading in talent.
If you are going to blow up the Big 3 I would consider Wade to Houston (who has been trying to get a star for a while now) for Kyle Lowry, Courtney Lee, and Samuel Dalembert. The only thing that would prevent either team from doing this would be Houston not being able to find a team to trade for Kevin Martin. I think that there will be plenty of teams willing to trade for Kevin Martin though because his contract is expiring and some teams may need to shed salary before the new luxury tax kicks in.
Well OK, it was Stephen A. Smith who said it, so it was a semi-rational point :sarcastic_hand:
That's probably a better deal for the Heat anyway, if they are going to part ways with Wade. Get a ton of pieces/role players and put LeBron at the helm.
I loved that kid! I had to rewind a bunch of times to rewatch it because I thought it was the best thing.
I liked the "history" video especially.

There are multiple kinds of pressure. You have the pressure that is dependent on where you are in the series (such as being down 3-2 and facing elimination on the road), where you are in a game (like being down 1 with 10 seconds left) and how deep into the playoffs you are (Finals pressure is far greater than 1st round pressure). LeBron destroying the Celtics considering the situation, would constitute as clutch in my book. Is it more clutch to destroy your opponent and not let them have a chance, or to play pretty good and win a close game?
Lebron put that team on his back and won them the game Im not a fan, I hate the heat, but that was impressive. The rest of his team played like *** pretty much only shooting like 1/3 of their shots. He carried them to a win, but I just for some reason don't see him doing that again in game 7, which would cause them to lose if he doesnt.
I'm watching the game. I'm bracing myself for victory or defeat. I'm leaning toward victory...
No matter what happens. These Celtics destroyed expectations and the big 3 (plus one) era has been amazing. There are not many NBA towns that get to tune in every year for half a decade and think their team has a chance to win it all. Not a passive chance. A realistic one.

Don't worry...KJ and Hondo are "on" tonight (Despite KJ getting in foul trouble) and the real Pierce is back as well...I like your team's chances.
The Celtics really exceeded my expectations. After Rose went down, I thought they would make the ECF, but I didn't think they would take it to 7. I think they regretted losing games that they shouldn't have to the Hawks and Sixers because their legs were just shot and you could see it in the last 2 games of this series.
I have OKC in 6 in the Finals. It is tough to win on the road in the NBA so I have a tough time taking them in 5 and winning 2 out of 3 in Miami.
I totally had the Darth Vader No!!!!!!!! after tonight's game I just hate the Miami Heat with a passion I never want to see Lebron James win a championship I really hope the Thunder can pull it off but I don't see that happening they're too young I think the Heat will smoke them in 5 games which sucks.
Hell of a game... Valiant effort from Boston. Even as a Heat fan, it was tough watching the Celtics leave the court after what they've accomplished together. Hopefully they're able to remain contenders with whatever roster changes might take place this offseason. Great series.

Age is highly overrated, especially when you're a team as talented as the Thunder. The size, length, and speed of OKC will be a big problem for Miami...the Thunder have beaten the Mavs, Lakers, and Spurs...I see no reason why they can't beat the Heat. Ibaka and Perkins will be too physical for Miami and Durant will be Durant and Harden will be Harden...both will be great...but the key is for Westbrook to be good Westbrook..if he plays just "good"...OKC will win the series fairly easy in my opinion.
I don't know as a devout hater of the Heat and Lebron James I would love nothing more than to see the Heat get swept but if the big 3 do their job they'll win the series I don't really see anybody on the Thunder matching up with Lebron defensively.
Thunder win in 5. Heat beat an average Celtics team who struggled with the sixers. Durant will prove he's the best in the league. Lebron and Wade won't get in the paint as easy as they did against the Celtics since all the C's had was an aging KG in the middle, Ibaka and Perkins will be the difference.
