This is the new millennium how does one not know that TRW was never cancelled? If it was half the reality shows now would've never existed. Just saying. No offense.
Does anyone know where season 28 will be held? Since S27 is in the Virgin Islands I can't imagine they'd set the following season also in a foreign country.

I don't even think BMP knows at this point.

I'm glad it hasn't, I want it to still be on when I'm 21 :D

Does TRW even air in St. Thomas? I can absolutely see how someone outside the US wouldn't know if the show was still on. Actually, I think a lot of people in the US don't know it's still on. It's simply not as much of a pop culture phenomenon as it once once was. The Real World simply isn't as relevent as it used to be.
Does TRW even air in St. Thomas?
St. Thomas is not a third world country. It is a territory of the United States. Dish Network is available - which means MTV is available.
Yes. Maybe even later but not immediately.
Did you read my above post? They can get satellite. That includes MTV via Dish network which is the same Dish network as everyone else gets...

Why yes I did and I also been there before, have you? Last I checked we didn't get everything needed such as current series (At least when I was last there) Who knows maybe they changed it. I say we ask BigKahuna or anyone else who is currently there and has access to atelevision.
Which reminds me did I tell you guys about the volume chip incident? Let's just hope the "hotels" there eventually got there **** together.
Also If that sounded extrememly rude you have my apologies.

Go to TVGUIDE.COM and put in a Charlotte Amalie zip code. Choose Dish. Check the listings. They are the same in St. Thomas as they are everywhere else in the same time zone minus RSNs and locals.
Check out this map. It is Echostar 10 with the Caribbean spot beams and the channels carried on those beams.
Using the internet isn't rocket science.

Obviously it's not a 3rd world country. As someone who's been to St. Thomas a handful of times, I have no idea what stations they get and don't get.

As someone that has never been to St. Thomas, I can tell you what stations they get (see above post.) Believe it or not, I have the power to figure out what channels people get via Dish Network anywhere in the United States, including Puerto Rico, the USVI, Alaska and Hawaii. Literally anywhere and everywhere in mere seconds.
There are these mythical creatures called the Dish Network and TV Guide websites and they whisper secrets to me...
To me MTV just seems like they're trying to get rid of this show, and finish up it's contract. Because of the low ratings in recent seasons of TRW, and the high ratings of Jersey Shore and Teen Mom, it seems to me like MTV is just going in a more trashier direction. Although the original Teen Moms are having their last season (they'll still have TM2 and they're gonna start TM3, which probably don't have as high of ratings as TM1), and Jersey Shore might have to end if Snooki leaves the show because of her baby and everything.
I really don't understand why everyone HATEDDD this season. I didn't think it was bad. The only roommate that truly got on my nerves was Frank. He was the only one who I could not stand at all. I have nothing against gay people, but it just annoyed me how he expects everybody to be his friend just because they live together.
I had no problem when Zach and Ashley wanted to do their own thing, especially when they went to Mexico, they just wanted to have a little vacation on their own, as a couple, like most couples do when they go somewhere tropical.
So they didn't want to go to the gay parades or gay bars, that's just not their thing. Doesn't mean they have anything against it (well Zach probably did, Ashley just wanted to be with him, doesn't mean she was homophobic though), they just didn't want to go. And when it was their birthdays and the roommates gave them a *** kit and they didn't want to use it, well to each their own. Sure, it may not be very interesting on TV, but in all reality they just met each other and I'd rather have them getting to know each other first rather than have *** all over the house like Frank did.
This is all just my opinion, sorry if I'm ranting a little.

It was the only season less eventful than Brooklyn AND London. Not a **** thing happened...

Brooklyn was pretty 'eventful' to me.
The boys vs girls feud, JD breaking the table, the 2008 election, Ryan going back to Iraq, Kaitlyn's gender medicine, there was tons going on in my opinion. May not have been much *** (if any), which was kind of disappointing to me, but what it lacked in ***, it made up for in drama.

Brooklyn was bland. Of the millions of veterans, I would think they could have found one with an interesting story. Katelynn's whole story was "who knows?" for 8 or 9 episodes when everybody knew from day 1 and the viewers knew from the first 5 minutes of episode 1. JD breaking the table was part of the dumbest fight I have ever seen on a reality TV show and that is saying something. San Diego was really equally dumb in that it was 8-9 episodes of Frank trying to start dumb fights without people really caring enough to engage. Vegas was the best season I've seen.

Well I liked Ryan, I certainly thought he was cute and I loved his watching his bromance with Chet, they were so adorable together. I really, really wish Ryan had done a challenge, he could have been sooo good.
Katelynn was annoying and self-centered, gender aside.
Baya was sweet and funny, but unfortunately didn't get much airtime cause that's all she was.
Scott was obviously hot, but that's about it, lol.
JD was just an *******.
Devyn was alright, just not memorable.
And I just found Sarah annoying most of the time. I liked her on the Ruins, but after that she got really cocky and annoying. I felt bad for her having to leave Battle of the Exes though.
Now that he graduated, I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan shows up on a Challenge. It's about that time when he discovers there are a lot of people more talented/experienced than him looking for work ahead of him. I pretty much could be ok with anybody from San Diego on the Challenges except Frank. It'd be funny if they put him on and then put that blackbox over him and bleep anytime he is on camera so nobody ever sees or hears him. (Man, I wish MTV paid me to come up with great ideas like that--I'd be the best editor ever)

If you are correct, then why would the contract have been renewed in 2011 for two more seasons? The effort that MTV is putting into revamping the challenge suggests they are committed to the RW/Challenge franchise for a while longer.

I thought this too for a while but I'm not so sure anymore. MTV is struggling right now, ratings-wise. Pretty much all of their shows aren't doing well in the demo aside from TM & JS. The good thing about RW is no matter how bad the season is (San Deigo) it still pulls in decent ratings so I'd be surprised if MTV is planning on letting the show go.
But I also see what you're saying, it's annoying how MTV treats TRW like its loser stepchild. They don't really put effort into promoting it like they do their other shows.

I agree with how MTV promotes RW, for sure. I see commercials for JS long before the seasons start, and I even see ads for it on other channels, plus they have the participants on talk shows (Ellen, The View, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, E News, etc.) to promote the show. I'm not saying MTV should have their participants on these shows, since they're nobodies (well, so were the JS kids before the show blew up), but they could advertise on other channels and run the commercials more often on MTV.
I'm interested/excited in Marie, Laura, Robb and Brandon K lol and Swift seems to be the odd man out from promos and stuff, it just doesn't seem like he fits in. I think he' ll be the 7th roommate.

He IS the 7th roommate. maybe you mean 7th wheel.
He IS the 7th roommate. maybe you mean 7th wheel.
7th, or 8th depending on the season, roommate is a term commly used to describe the housemate that doesn't really fit in (ex: that d-bag from Hollywood), or the one that gets no airtime (ex: Baya).

No kidding. I'm familiar with the term. And I seriously doubt they would focus on 6 roommates. That would not make any kind of sense.

They've done it before.
They've done it before.
I would hope that they do not this time around. Otherwise being on the show is a waste of time and effort one could be using doing something else.
