Someone mentioned that in another thread and it was stated that any person can change/add a Wikipedia page...
Obviously. That is why I was saying it was funny how a person assumed that because a casting call was held in the city, the series was going to be filmed there. It was clearly a comment on how stupid people are.
I don't know if this is the right thread to say this but whatever, am I the only one that wonders how people like Sahar (RW: New Orleans) and Alex (RW: San Diego) are one of 7 people chosen out thousands of people for a reality TV show? Seriously, you can't find someone with a personality or more interesting?

No. I wonder that too, but it's not anything new. There's been a token boring cast member in basically every season. ****, Sahar wasn't even the most useless cast member her season (Eric and Ashlee, anybody?). I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that you can make yourself sound as interesting as you want during the interview process, but once you get into the house is when you see whether or not people were truly worth being cast. I know nothing of the casting process, but sometimes I believe they cast people for specific purposes. Like, taking Sahar's season as an example, I wonder if they cast Eric hoping that he and Jemmye would hook up seeing as though she only dated black guys, and they probably figured Knight would be hooking up with girls left and right, and maybe even thought he'd hook up with McKenzie. I doubt they were expecting Jemmye and Knight to become a couple. But again, I really have no clue what goes on in their heads.
Granted, Alex is probably my favorite cast member this season and I was more interested in her than the repetitive Frank vs. Zach/Ashley drama. I also may not be the best person to judge this because Baya was far and away the most "boring" cast member her season, but she was also far and away my favorite that season.
I feel everyone actually serve a purpose or have a storyline it just up to the producers to show it case and point with Alex and Sahar unlike Derek and Baya were there was really nothing to show from them.

Baya had a couple episodes about her and dancing. All that "They never showed me" stuff was BS. It just wasn't that memorable. There was the early-on episode of her getting into a dance academy and then saying no; and then there was an episode where she just danced and danced in open classroom-type situations.
Alex had a huge back story about her childhood and that's probably why she was chosen. Except maybe one little thing about sending money back home, NONE of it was talked about. That's probably why she did absolutely nothing the whole season.

Alex never seemed to be negative and always had these beauty pageant-type responses to everything so they probably didn't think is was TV worthy on a show about *** and drama.
Looking up some real estate and came upon this...

Looks like the real world Key West house is for sale and everything looks the same from when the show was filming. How neat.
My Review of the Past Five Seasons
Cancun: Great! There were dramatic and hilarious moments throughout. That whole love triangle thing did get old, but it was an overall good season. I was upset Bronne had to leave the house.
DC: My favorite to date! The cast was awesome! It did get boring, but it was a very diverse group. Andrew was super funny. LOLOL! I like how they didn't really focus on one person.
NOLA 2: Boring, to the point that I don't even really remember it... I feel like it had the potential to be REALLY good... However, I liked the cast. I would definitely watch a NOLA 3.
Vegas 2: Pretty good. Sometimes there was too much focus on one person.
San Diego 2: The only good part about the season was the first episode. Then it just became "Frank's World" as my friends call it. It was just a little too much drama and focus on one conflict. I liked Alex and The Hats!
Some of the people casted come off in the casting process as "great TV personalities" but fail to deliver. Casting directors and producers are tricked and feel stupid after watching the season. Two of the people mentioned above, Sahar and Alex, have one thing in common, which would pique anyone's interest (Both are of different backgrounds/nationalities, Middle Eastern and Zimbabwean, respectively).

Yea and you can add Josh from DC to that list as well. Even i thought he was going to bring a lot more to the table that season from just looking at his pictures and casting video.

You thought New Orleans was boring, but DC wasn't? Now I've heard it all..
In my opinion out of the past 5 season New Orleans was by far the best.
Without a doubt! I dont think DC was THE worst, that right goes to San Diego, but I think it's pretty **** close.
New Orleans was probably my favorite season of the past 10 seasons.
I'm torn on whether I liked DC or SD better. It comes down to which cast I liked better overall, which I guess would be San Diego.
For DC, I have:
Liked: Mike, Callie, Ashley (despite the fact that she was overdramatic and annoying)
Middle: Emily, Andrew
Disliked: Josh, Ty, Erika
And for San Diego, there was:
Liked: Alex, Priscilla, Sam, Nate
Disliked: Ashley, Zach, Frank
So I guess I liked SD better, but really for me it's like choosing between getting stabbed and getting shot, but with a really dull knife and a gun filled with blanks.

DC was awesome! NOLA2 was really boring once Ryan left.
DC was awesome! NOLA2 was really boring once Ryan left.
Once Ryan left there were only 3 episodes left.
It wasn't like Cancun, where it died once Joey left with more than half the season left.
DC was dull... I enjoyed it, but it wasn't my favorite.

Not even actually haha. IIRC, Ryan left and there was one Ryan-free episode and then the finale, which he appeared in for the photoshoot.

DC was boring the entire season, compared to 2 episodes in NOLA (excluding the Sahar ones)

Different strokes. DC, Brooklyn, Philly, Boston, LA, and Miami are my favorites. NOLA2(loved Ryan), Cancun, and Sydney are probably my least favorites.
This is a bit off topic, but that's why this is a generic thread, right?
I found one of Dustin's **** on my dashboard on tumblr and everyone was like "omg that guy is soooo hot, blahblahblah" and me and maybe one other person were like "He's from the real world, welll this is awkward." hah, I just found it really funny.

Because it encompasses all things RW related due to it having multiple seasons. And as for the Dustin thing, peopole really are still thirsty for him? ****.

the people had no idea he was on TV. They just thought it was like just some random hot guy ******* the bed or something.
Interesting what some former cast members think make a great roommate
You thought New Orleans was boring, but DC wasn't? Now I've heard it all..
I said it got boring at some points... But it was still great. I felt it was the most real. And the cast really showed their stories, more than this season (Frank's World: San Diego).
Last five seasons in order from my favorite to least favorite:
Las Vegas 2 - This one was one of my favorites in the whole series. It kept me interested, never got boring, and didn't seem to focus on one person more than another. Had a lot of drama mixed with real life problems. My favorites of the season were Nany and Leroy.
New Orleans 2 - This season brought some spark back into the series afer DC. As much as I disliked Ryan, without him it wouldn't of been half as good. Same as Las Vegas, had a lot of drama but never really got boring. I liked everyone on this season except Sahar, Preston, and Ryan.
Cancun - A little too much focus on the Jonna/Jasmine/Pat thing but besides that it was an overall good season. I just wish there were more moments where the cast actually acted like they liked each other. I liked everyone except the girls got annoying at times.
San Diego 2 - Deciding between this and DC was a hard choice.. The only reason I picked this over DC was because it had more drama. It just focused on one person way too much. Frank got annoying at times, I couldnt stand Ashley and Zach. Loved Alex, Priscilla, Nate, and Sam.
DC - This season was what you would expect from that city. It wasn't horrible, I just lost excitement by the 4th episode. I liked Mike, Ashley, Callie and Emily a lot. Andrew got annoying. And I didnt like Ty, Josh, or Erika.
All I can say is that we have our own opinions... DC and Cancun were the best out of the five, and the NOLA 2 and San Diego 2 were my least favorite... Sorry if you don't feel the same way, I'm not trying to prove anything, I'm just expressing what my opinions are on the last five seasons. Hopefully they'll go to Chicago for the 28th season, and be really good! Or Miami!

I mean didn't DC have the lowest ratings EVER out of every season of the Real world. Worse than SanDiego2. It was pathetic...
