Woohoo Phillip won!!!! so happy about that. Jessica has no personality and is extemely boring, she needed about a decade to get to know herself before she actually stepped out into the stoplight. Phillip kinda sucked, but out of the 2 he definitely deserved to win.
Next season I'm hoping for some real talent, give me some more Elise's or Hollie's, and less Joshua's, Jessica's and Phillip's

I'm really not upset lol....I juat stating that I find it comical that the same type of winner gets crowned every year.
To me what was funny about your post is that I use to say the same things. Hoping for specific type of contestants, but it seems no matter the match up a wgwg will win.
I'm just laughing about it now haha, this went from being my favorite show of my entire life, to just a comical reality show.

What a terrible finale. Possibly even worse than the performance night. Did we really need 2 hours of that ****? I liked Rihanna, Skylar + Reba and the "Singing the Phone Book" segment but not much else. PP has accomplished the distinguished feat of being the only Top 24 contestant without a single performance I was able to sit through (Yes I even sat through a Taylor Hicks/Lee DeWyze song, once... I swear!).
PP is going to bomb so hard. Like Producer88 said, you have to make a marketable pop-y album first to establish a foothold in the business before you can do your thing, and I don't think PP is capable of pulling anything like that off even if he was willing to compromise himself (He isn't. He didn't even really bother dressing up for the finale).

Phillip just announced "Home" isn't his first single, because it's too much of a pop record and he isn't that type of artist....******.
Seriously this is what's wrong with wgwg winners and why they flop, becauss they don't listen to their lables & A&R's. Your first album or 2 needs to have pop songs, and what's sad is that "Home" isn't much of a pop record!!
He said his album is going to be a mix of Rock-Jazz (***?!?!!?)...This is why he's going to flop. I can't wait in 2-3 years he's going to be irrelevant, and watch Jessica have at least a Top 10 hit with a song like "Umbrella" "Only Girl""No one" or "Irreplaceable"

Parts of that song seemed so familiar to me I am wondering if they have a whole bunch of licensing to work through first so people don't swoop in and take everything the album makes forever.

In fact if all 5 were the best of their season I wouldn't care, but the fact is that they didn't even deserve to reach the Top 5 of their season yet they won!
