Am I the only one that dislikes Sam and Mercedes together? Because I feel like I am.
No, i mean i love Mercedes and Sam is okay, but this is just so unrealistic that it's making me dislike the show more.
Am I the only one who thinks this episode and the christmas episode were absolutely pointless and hated them.

I really enjoyed the Michael episode, but only for the music really. The Christmas episode was basically a filler episode that can honestly be taken out of the season for all I care. It wasn't what I wanted at all.
I didn't like the Michael episode, but I tend to not like more episodes than I like, so it is par for the course. The only reason I watch still is because they sometimes do actually amaze me. A lot of the songs in the first half were performed in such a way that I wouldn't have recognized them as Michael covers had they just randomly been on the radio. The Rachel breakdown at her locker because she didn't get her letter yet was the most insanely over the top over dramatic scene I have seen in awhile.

I don't know. I don't care much one way or the other about Sam/Mercedes being together (though I loved Human Nature), but it doesn't seem all that unrealistic. Sam seems like a genuine person who doesn't care about looks and all that jazz (assuming that's why you think it's unrealistic?) And it's hardly the most unrealistic thing on this show haha. I mean Sue punched a congresswoman or something at one of the performances last season and got no repercussions from what I understand.
I have to say I love the new Quinn aka the return to original Quinn. I'm sad that they basically wrapped up her story this episode. I hope she is still given things to do. Maybe I just love Dianna Agron.
Tonight's episode was better than I anticipated. I still didn't really like it though. The plot was quite boring and stupid, but I guess we just have to remember that Glee is going downhill. Nothing can beat Season 1.
I can't get the "We Are Young" song out of my head, I love both versions of it! That being said, this season is a joke. I am getting Santanaed-out just like last year I was kurted-out.
I loved season 2, but I hated every single song they did for any competitions. I guess well just never get a regionals/sectionals/nationals like the the Journey Set.
Mercedes' "I will always love you" tonight was the most Whitney-like cover of the Whitney version of the song I have ever heard. This is why I hate Michelle Lea/Rachel Berry--Amber Riley is a powerful singer with an insane voice but she is forced episode after episode, season after season to play second fiddle to a whiny diva.

I'm kind of the opposite. I'm not a fan of when Amber Riley sings. It's the same high notes after the other. Her best song, I think personally, was "River Deep Mountain High" when Naya Rivera took the top harmony. I'd personally rather watch Lea Michele sing over Amber, but that's just my opinion. The Mercedes character just doesn't seem to be going in the direction I like. I've yet to see tonight's episode, but that's just my opinion of her until now.
I didn't watch the episode, but after youtub-ing that performance, I gotta go with Fishhooks here. To me, I accept that they both can sing really well, and sometimes both their voices annoy me (sometimes Mercedes only gets high off the chart harmonies and it just sounds too overdone with "frills" and extra notes, but sometimes Lea Michelle has this kinda arrogant whiny singing voice). However, I will say this, although sometimes listening to Lea Michele can be a pleasure and wow just anyone, she can never give me goosebumps like Amber Riley does sometimes.
That really was the best rendition of "I will always love you" I've heard thus far, and I love that she didn't try to make it too fancy. The song speaks on its own without a lot of unnecessary ad libs.
Glee generally does a horrible job working a bridge in a song. I cannot think of a Lea/Rachel song off the top of my head where she either didn't sing the whole number like the bridge should be or sang the bridge exactly like the rest of the song. Amber/Mercedes is IMO the only cast member who can work a bridge properly, and when she does, it is incredible. I could never see myself buying a post-Glee CD of original music by any of the cast other than Amber for that simple reason.
Read something today where Matthew Morrison had commented that he has tried to get out of contract but he can't; it's 7 years long and he is hating it. Apparently he assumed the show would fail quickly when he signed it. He doesn't seem to hate the show--he's just over it.

Interesting cast. Should be interesting to see how the two discovered through "industry channels" shape up against the rest who did theirs online or via open casting calls.
At the same time, I see a lot of similar looks. Charlie looks almost exactly like Finn. Maxfield reminds me of Sam. Ali is the female version of Artie (and I find it very interesting that they made sure to show her wheelchair in her picture unlike everyone else, who's chest up). Lily Mae seems like a white version of Mercedes. And Dani kind of looks like a younger Justin Bieber, which is sad because she's got about 5 years on him.
I'll be cheering for the ones who are fresh faces and stories.
Just watched this past week's episode. No matter how mean they make him, I will always love Jonathan Groff. Not a fan of the storyline that went with it, although I'm going to admit the first time I saw that guy on The Glee Project Season 1 (the pictures for it), I thought he was a girl.
Not really looking forward to next week because I feel as if the Whitney Songs will overpower the storyline and there will be no plot, but songs...
Very boring episode. Hopefully next week will be better.
Yeah I wouldn't bet my lunch money on it if I were you since this is an essentially made up episode to cash in on the popularity of Whitney's music since her demise. Glee is nothing but an i-tunes *****

Glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks so.
this is ridiculous... Glee doesn't fit songs into the show anymore, they fit the show around songs they want to do, and the show is circling the drain for me.

They are usually in the top 10 itunes downloads every week in multiple slots but their ratings suck, so yeah that is exactly what they are doing. For me they are through the drain and hanging on by a hair stuck on the strainer.
I haven't caught the last few episodes, but I have to say it really is a shame what Glee has become. I'm still able to enjoy it for the music and I genuinely like most of the actors on the show, but it's just so.. annoying. I know that even in it's glory days (season 1), Glee was incredibly inconsistent and capable of "very special episodes", but all the characters were still themselves and were for the most part able to do something. Now apparently if you aren't Rachel/Finn, Kurt/Blaine, or Santana you don't matter at all. With the exception of Mercedes and Quinn, I guess. Except Quinn just gets ****ed around by the writers. Puck literally does noting. Tina, while never being a major character, barely even feels like a real character now. Brittany spoke like 3 words for basically the entire middle of this season. Maybe it's just me, but the show has really lost a lot of its charm. Also, I hate how they took all the fun dark comedy from season 1 and turned it into melodrama. Also, they have completely forgotten about old friendships like Quinn/Mercedes, Puck/Artie, hell even Finn/Puck.
I do love the addition of Sugar though. And Sam is also one of my favorites so I'm happy he's gotten some decent screentime. I guess they decided that since Mike Chang had a storyline in the first like 3 episodes that that was good enough. Also, I will say thank God they got rid of Lauren.
Aww, I liked Lauren. "Best Greenroom ever." LMAO.
Anyone else see the songs they are doing for the graduation episode and wonder why they aren't doing the one called "Graduation" by Vitamin C.
Seriously, I thought that song would be a shoe in.

Oh man. That song died 10 years ago.
Did Glee really have to do Chicago? I mean, I love Chicago, but this was interesting and I didn't like it at all.
Seems a tad risqué for a High School TV show anyway...
I just feel like they had to throw in a Bieste story and this is all they could come up with. That poor character gets more bullying than any of the students.

I only watched out of the corner of my eye, but, yeah, I didn't like it much either. I do like Dot as a person. I wish they'd make her have a happy storyline.
Because I need something else to watch on Thursday...ugh.
