Ballinbroken is ignoring emails, private messages and this thread so I guess this league is DOA - stuck at 7 owners.
That is strange because Ballinbroken posted in a different thread yesterday evening. Hopefully one more person comes along in the next few days.
there's not 1 person in this forum that wants to dabble in a little fantasy basketball?
No Lebron, no Wade, yet the Heat still beat the Hawks lol.
To the people already in the league, would you guys be interested in this? It's roto but really interesting. Bill Simmons delivers a gift to all of you in the form of the ultimate NBA time suck - Grantland

LINsanity that is all...
Just when I thought nothing could get more annoying than all the Tim Tebow stuff, Linsansity happened.... I have never seen so much talk over two mediocre at best professional athletes.

I have never seen so much talk over two mediocre at best professional athletes.
Tim Tebow and Jeremy Lin are 2 completely different players. Tim Tebow was a top prospect going into college and a first round draft pick. He was #1 in jersey sales before taking a snap in the NFL. Jeremy Lin didn't get a scholarship to college, went undrafted, was cut by 2 teams, and had to earn his playing time. Jeremy Lin's numbers may not be accurate of his true skill level but since the merger he has scored the more points in his first 4 starts than anyone in the NBA. The next 3 players on that list are AI, Shaq, and MJ. Even if he regresses some he is still an above average player.
Yeah and Lin's actually doing well and getting praised, unlike you know who...
Just saw this on Reddit. Pretty cool - Tim Duncan was training to become a member of the 1992 U.S. Men's Olympic Swim Team, until Hurricane Hugo destroyed the only pool he could train in. He was deathly afraid of sharks, so it kept him from using the ocean temporarily. To keep in shape, he started playing basketball. Was anyone else dumb enough to put themselves through the pain of watching the Dunk Contest tonight? I thought the whole Saturday lineup was collectively the worst in recent memory.
Was anyone else dumb enough to put themselves through the pain of watching the Dunk Contest tonight? I thought the whole Saturday lineup was collectively the worst in recent memory.
I sort of watched it. The 3 pt contest was decent. The Dunk contest was way too drawn out for 3 good dunks. My favorite part is still the Celebrity game because some people don't try at all and others try way too hard like Doug Gottleib did this year.

I don't understand why stars don't want to participate in the slam dunk contest. Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, Kyrie Irving and John Wall all participated in either the 3 point contest or the skills challenge, but no exciting player, besides Paul George, wanted to do the Dunk Contest. I hope to see John Wall and Russell Westbrook in the dunk contest next year, they seem too good not to do it. I would say the same about Lebron James, but I think he is hopeless at this point.

I feel sorry for all of you Celtics fans. I was watching the end of the Hawks-Celtics game on NBA TV and that color commentator was god awful. I couldn't imagine having to deal with that in every non-national TV game.

It means, we might be able to win some games that no one thinks we should win down the stretch. Hope. It is good.

The guy used to go ape**** every time Walter McCarty hit a 3 in a game. Back in the preseason he compared Greg Stiemsma to Bill Russell.
Huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge blow. Derrick Rose: Torn ACL, done for year
sucks for Chicago. On the bright side, I know they're still gonna beat Sixers, but get massacred by ATL or Boston. If I was Rose, I'll start working on my Js and post up. That way he wouldn't have to rely on his athleticism to make points. Besides Fifa, the NBA has to have the worst officiating in sports. I was so livid watching that Knick @ Heat game.
I hate to see a great player go down, but at the same time I do see a crack of light in the eastern conference as a Boston fan who gave up in December.
Clippers rally from 27 down to stun Grizzles in Game 1 I remember having a discussion with a friend a few months ago over trade rumors involving Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo. Basically, my stance was that CP3-for-Rondo was something I would readily do if I were Celtics GM. My friend was a bit blinded by homer-ism and told me I was crazy. Rondo is a great PG, but I just want to stick this box score in my friend's face and let him know, there is no way Rondo does anything close to this at this point in his career. I know Paul scored only 14 in this game but without him on the floor, the Clips have no shot. I feel bad for the Griz because by all rights they have a good shot at getting to the Finals, but I have a feeling CP3 is going to pull some more magic out of his *** and get the Clips to the next round.
I hate to see a great player go down, but at the same time I do see a crack of light in the eastern conference as a Boston fan who gave up in December.
See I think Thibodeau will have those guys in "against the world" mode and I wouldn't be surprised if they willed their way to the Finals.

Being a NBA ref is ridiculously difficult. I wouldn't say they have bad officiating. It is just that in the NBA you can call a foul on nearly every possession for something. They have to determine what is severe enough to be called a foul and what isn't. I didn't think the Knicks-Miami game had terrible reffing, but maybe because I was thinking about how terrible Melo was. Miami has the easiest path to the Finals in recent memory. With Rose's injury, I would pick 6 of the West teams before I picked the 2nd East team as most likely to win the NBA Finals.
I'm loving the way my Hawks are playing Bacchus's Celtics. No Rondo tonight? Ha! Game 2 to the Hawks.
I'm loving the way my Hawks are playing Bacchus's Celtics. No Rondo tonight? Ha! Game 2 to the Hawks.
The game has yet to be played my friend. The game has yet to be played. ;)
It kind of grosses me out but I'll be rooting for the Celtics in the coming weeks. I think they're the only team in the East that can stop the Heat. It's sucky that almost every team in the West is playing well (OKC has been iffy but they've won) and the Heat get a pretty comfortable walk to the finals since the East is slop at this point.

It is such sloppy basketball. I honestly want Miami to make the Finals just so I can watch good basketball games in the Finals.
