Man people HATE johnny. https://www.facebook.com/groups/156565677799656/ There's a fb group for him to take his winnings back.
There's only two people in that group...and it has nothing to do with hating Johnny. That's an anti Camila group.
Not really and maybe if it was individual or if he wasn't so **** conniving and manipulative.
WHy does it have to be a individual challenge? There has only been TWO of those. Would you say Wes is a great challenger because he won a individual challenge? More often then not he ***** out before the finals, more often then not Johnny makes the finals and wins the whole **** thing.
the man has beaten Mark and Ct in eliminations, that accomplishment alone puts him in the upper echelon of challenge competitors.
When exactly has he been manipulative? he isn't Evan. Johnny usually doesn't make the deals or anything like that.
He didn't beat CT in an elimination? He beat Adam, CT beat Johnny, Adam and Tyler. He beat CT in the Exes final & Mark in an elimination round.
I think Johnny has become really good at these things.

Wes clearly doesn't care about team challenges.....The most ambitious and focused wes has ever been was on the duel. The fire in wes eyes to win that 150k was unlike anything I've seen on a challenge. Notice how wes didn't clown around in the house and stayed out of the spotlight the entire season.Wes when motivated is dangerous.
Johnny is the new darell (great teammate, but not the most athletic or strongest)
Johnny gets more out of his teammate than anyone on the show right now.

After all it doesn't take athleticism to scale mountains on consecutive shows, or run these ridiculous finals faster than anyone else.
I guess Johnny will not be like the "athletic" competitors like CT or Wes (who both ran out of gas and self destructed in these finals)

MJ, Larry Bird, Tiger Woods, and Magic Johnson are athletic and none of them can scale mountains or do marathons.

A) How do you know they can't B) Who cares they obviously do not compete on these shows C) Most of them besides tiger are old atm so obviously
The whole point of this show is to come on compete in mini challenges, make it to the end and run a LONG final to win cash. Johnny is good at this. Guys like Ct and Wes are not. So if the whole point of the show is to win Money why would Johnny not be in the elite competitors.
These last two finals are more impressive then ANYTHING done on these challenges before. To not give the man credit is willfull blindness. He pushed his partner to complete the task, no other competitor could.

You missed my point entirely.
On these shows being a great teammate, being great a house politics, and endurance are better than strength/athleticism.
Athletically and strength wise Johnny is inferior to CT and Wes....but, Johnny is a all around better challenger than both of them.

I think you're missing my point, how is this a fact? Endurance and long distance running is part of athleticism. Strength wise, CT is better than Johnny, but in everything else they are similar. I'm not sure what Wes would be better than Johnny in, if anything.

Johnny is better at the political aspect of the game because Wes purposefully plays the villain and people don't want to align with him. I would give Wes the edge when it comes to anything with swimming. Let's not forget that on Rivals Kenny and Wes had a 45 minute lead reduced to 2 minutes at the overnight portion. It is easy to forget how good Wes was on FM1 and Duel 1 though because it was so long ago.

Wes wasn't good at FM1 he had Casey as a partner so he never could shine, but people thought he took steroids because it was such a difference between FM1 and Duel 1. Wes was only good on the Duel 1 (and most of the time the missions were in his advantage : swimming/soccer), only his elimination round against Derrick was impressive. Johnny is always better then Wes, there is no discussion about that.

Johnny is not a better swimmer (I neglected that by mistake in my previous post) but in EVERY OTHER aspect he is better (including puzzles). Despite Johnny being bad at them, Wes is horrible at them, skipped every one in FM1 and took ages on FM2 to complete them.
Elimination records are a tricky thing, because Johnny has only lost to ELITE competitors in eliminations (Tyler twice, and Evan) but also beat good ones in Dunbar, Mark, Adam and CT.
Wes has won a boatload of eliminations, but many against inferior competitors (Ryan and Melinda, Danny, Johanna and whoever her partner was, Tyrie and Davis, Nick Brown, Nate and Priscilla). He has impressive victories no doubt, Ty and Brandon, Derrick come to mind. But against elite competition Wes' elimination record is not a as pretty as it looks. I'd say the quality of opponents Johnny has beaten, makes his better.
In regards to Johnny compared to CT: in the past 2 challenges. Johnny beat CT in 6 of the competitons on Exes, 4 on Rivals (the three he won and he did better than him in the last one). Won a elimination round and smoked him in final. Recent history is in Johnny's favor. Obviously that elimination in Cutthroat is glaring, but that is just a strength competition.
Johnny has 4, CT has 0 (though I consider it 1 with G3), I think it's obvious who is better.

Is it sad that I lol'd at this?
Dunbar is a pretty strong dude, probably outweighed Johnny by 20 pounds in the Ruins. He has respect from his competitors (never goes in until about the 7th elimination), he won Cutthroat. I don't think Dunbar is anywhere near the top, but he is the worst competitor Johnny has beaten in a elimination round, he'd be one of the best for Wes, compared to the competitors Wes has beaten.
I am not a fan of Johnny's personality but I have to give him credit for winning the last two challenges. I respect anyone who can pull themselves through what was presented to them in Iceland and come out on top.

I think you are getting carried away a bit. When you actually break down the records Wes has the more impressive record. He wins 5 eliminations on freshmeat with Casey as his partner. Beat some good teams as well, Shane and Linnette, Tanya and Johnnie, Evelyn and Danny. Beats Derrick by himself on the duel. Beat 2 people on the ruins. Chet being one of them who is a good competitor. He beat 2 more people paired with Kenny on Rivals, one team being Ty and Brandon who are both good competitors. Beat 1 more team on exes. Going into all thos eliminations and winning the amount he has and with some of the partners he has had is very impressive. He has been in 14 eliminations and won 11, he has less losses than Johnny who has been in 8 and lost 4. Johnny beat 40 year old Mark who would have lost to alot of the guys in that elimination, just doesnt have it at 40 in a physical elimination like that. It looked like he was going to get hurt in all honesty. Beat dunbar which was a pretty good win, won an island elimination that I dont even like counting, and won with tyler in an elimination that adam threw. Thats a more impressive record than Wes?, really?

I agree. While I think overall Rivals had a more difficult finale, this one was brutal, too. No one should face that kind of cold without vodka/antifreeze. Props to the banana man
There really shouldn't be an agruement whether Johnny is a good competitor or not. Johnny's wins speak for itself. Clearly he is an amazing competitor physically and mentally. That Iceland finale was insane and props to Bananas for taking home the win.

This is true, I remember discussing who was the better competitor between him and Brad a few challenges back. I wonder what peoples take on that would be now.

I thought I was the only person that thought this.
I thought I was the only person that thought this.
Frankly, I had not thought about it until a Rivals cast member brought it to my attention recently.
Frankly, I had not thought about it until a Rivals cast member brought it to my attention recently.
I suppose the only person who could really comment on it would be JB himself, as he was the only one who completed both.

Johnny said on the Grantland podcast that Exes was harder because (though shorter by a few miles) the Rivals final was run in nice weather and better terrain. I also thought Rivals looked harder...but the guy was at both so I guess he knows better than anyone else.

This made me LOL.
Rumor has it there may have been a falling out this past weekend between the 3 stooges (mostly Johnny & Kenny) while they were together this past weekend celebrating Kenny's birthday.

What do you mean? My bad, don't understand what are talking about.

And you heard this from where? That woulnt be too surprising, in the past Kenny has said Johnny is annoying and starts 90% of the fights so I'm sure they've had disagreements in the past, should be interesting to see if it really is a big deal though.
You know what's interesting with that group (Paula, Kenny, Johnny, Evan) is that they seem to be close friends and all but they have friction besides for Kenny and Evan they always seem pretty tight, on Rivals the guys got in a fight with Paula, same on the Island reunion, on Cutthroat Johnny/Paula argued some more, on FM2 Wes/Danny said Kenny wanted to get rid of Paula as fast as possible and to make it look like he had nothing to do with it and Kenny said Evan and Johnny don't really like each other and Evan makes fun of Johnny on the podcasts too lol and on the Ruins they argued a bit and Johnny has said he thinks Evan is shady, Johnny and Evan both said Paula is hard to work with, they're a dysfunctional family.
