I think the ratings for last nights episode will just about the same or better than last week so 1.90 million or better. I think it's pretty much a lock that the series will be renewed for at least couple seasons mostly because Battle of the Exes continued the success from Rivals so there is consistency and this season is really popular especially on Twitter and I don't see the lawsuit between Tonya vs Kenny and Evan being a problem if they don't cast Kenny and Evan on any future challenges.
Sons of Guns was the number one cable original Wednesday night with a 1.2 among Adults 18-49, up a tenth from last week's season premiere. Challenge: Battles of Exes was in second place with a 1.1 among Adults 18-49.
Well that sucks season low. But it didn't fall very far, it could pick up for the finale. Is the aftershow ratings in there?
If we're looking at the brightside Exes was number 1 in it's timeslot for cable.

No the aftershow wasn't on the list at all.
No the aftershow wasn't on the list at all.
The list only does primetime which ends 1 second before the Aftershows begin. I don't think I have ever seen any of those aftershow ratings.
This season's been pretty boring and tame and I almost forget that an episode's even on anymore because of that. I still watch them, but I'm sure there are some people who just flat out forget to watch.

If you click on the link and look at all the things on the list, some of the shows listed near the bottom are not in the "primetime" time slot. Even if they did show the aftershow ratings, I'm sure it wouldn't be less than mediocre.
I think it's always smart to see how the 10 and 10:30 PM cable competition is doing. When you look at the 18-49 audience viewing all these show, I think you have to wonder if "Exes" is really doing all that well. It should be crushing most of these, but it's not...
I would have thought we would have picked up viewers given the absence of Top Chef on BRAVO at 10 PM. Maybe Exes lost a lot of viewers and the regular Top Chef viewers (like me) helped Exes not drop drastically.

Should it be crushing Psych? Thats a pretty big show. I'm surprised how many people are saying that this season isn't doing well in ratings, it's the highest rated challenge in a while.

Where did I write that Exes should be crushing Psych?
Barely beating American Dad and losing to it at 10:30, losing to Face Off, Doomsday Bunkers and Restaurant Impossible, just squeaking out a win vs. Storage Wars and Hot in Cleveland... Those are the shows I think exes should be crushing (defined by me as at least a 50 % viewer margin). Psych and Big Bang Theory are well written shows that only Jersey Shore is likely to outmatch. My table simply lists all the cable shows between 10 and 11 PM.

LOL... I think Emily offered a better apology on the Aftershow.
LOL... I think Emily offered a better apology on the Aftershow.
What? It shouldn't sound like an apology I'm not sorry for anything. I would never apologize for asking something to be specific.
I'm very shocked ratings dropped but 1.88 million viewers isn't bad at all considering Real World San Diego averaged 1.30 viewers and the same for Cutthroat. I think next week ratings will rise and I fully expect the finale to have high ratings.

Whoops... Sorry and yes this is an apology lol :o

I wasn't, but I expect a bigger drop next week since this week's episode was so boring. There seems to be a week lag on either side of a significant ratings drop/recovery with this show. I am actually bored to tears with this season. There just isn't anything else on now that Top Chef is over.
I think ratings might increase next week with how much publicity has been over Emily's """Racist""" act. This season has been lackluster compared to Rivals but it is lightyears above FM2/Duel2/Island/Second half of Ruins. Still I've been enjoying it, it's nice to see the vets back even if they are watered down. I don't think the finale will be nearly as big as Rivals just a feeling though.
I'm enjoying the season. Rivals I liked more but its good to see the longtime faces back. I am looking forward to another team challenge or duel. I want men vs men women vs women. Can't wait to see Zach cut his teeth out there either.
I think ratings might increase next week with how much publicity has been over Emily's """Racist""" act.
It would be equally as logical for the numbers to go down next week as the result of some have watched the most recent episode expecting it to live up to the pre-episode hype by MTV. Having been disappointed, those people may elect to go elsewhere on Wednesday at 10 PM. Carrying over the elimination challenge from one week to the next always seems like a desperation move to keep viewers engaged.

Didn't come off as desperate to me. They had 2 teams DQ, they had to have some non-elimination episodes to meet the original episode order.

I agree that in order to meet the contracted number of episodes they needed to do something, but I'll bet more than 90% of viewers know nothing of the reason; therefore, it APPEARS to be desperate. Tell me who, other than obsessed individuals, actually give a s*** about the "original episode order?"

I read the post as you saying that it appears to you as an act of desperation. Maybe I misread. No one gives a **** about original order but people who watch reality shows understand when there's a DQ that sometimes that results in To Be Continued episodes, or episodes where there's no elimination (for other types of reality series).

Yes, the edit "seems to be a desperation move", in spite of whatever logic one may apply to why the editors did what they did, to be read as in "looked" or "appears." In no way do I assert it as fact. It is simply an observation based on experience. The key to my sentence is in the clear understanding of the intransitive verb, "seem."
Either definition from Webster's fits here:
1 : to appear to the observation or understanding

2 : to give the impression of being
Part of the probelm is that all the good people/new people left early... which happens every season of the Challenge.
I'm kind of bored of the SAME people making it to the end - Johnny, Paula, the usuals etc. The season started off on a good note, it was nice to see new faces but it sucks that they all ended up leaving early because they get beat by people who make a living off of doing Challenges.
I was a little discouraged at 1st seeing the ratings dropped but then I looked back at Rivals ratings last season and in comparison Battle of the Exes has better ratings because this season through 7 episodes averages 1.9 million viewers and as for Rivals that season didn't heat up until the later episodes. I predict the next episode being at least 1.8 or better and the finale I can see the it bringing in high ratings because of the unique location and we see a winner crowned.

You said extremely well what I was thinking, Kevin. I'm virtually sick and tired of all the new, good or interesting people leaving whether theya re good or not. It's such a season turn-off.

The only hope I have in this season is Ty and Emily. I will literally shut it off the second Ty and Emily get eliminated, if they do. I cant stand Johnny, Paula, Dunbar, and CT.
Still love this season for the two huge shocks we've seen:
Ty beating Abram in an elimination round
LeRoy destroying Wes in the one on one elimination round.
