I like the cast all around. I honestly think this cast will perform well on challenges. All of them, except priscilla, have competed in sports and come off very athletic. I think priscilla will be the only one we won't ever see on a challenge. I think Sam and Frank will be challenge *****s.
I agree I like the cast too. My favorite so far has to be Alex!! She's so chill and I love that! I also think they have some good challenge potential :victory:.
It bothers me that people like Zach even try out for this show. Not only is it 2011, but people from the 90's that were on this show were at least interested in learning about other people's lifestyles. Did he expect everyone to be cookie cutter images of himself? That's annoying.

I also come from a family where we do not accept gays (girls are excluded though). Those kind of people are just weird and annoying. This season is starting to seem like a boring and dull season because even though there is so much diversity, everybody but two people this season are too calm.

Coral mentioned that it's the new that's the 2000's and at this point noone should unaware of black people or gay people. Since then, I've stuck by her statement.
really? Alex seems so extra. if Frank weren't there, she'd be pointless.
I guess that's why she is my favorite, because she is most similar to me and I'd never cut it on the Real World! I know that's not what people want to see though, they wanna see the drama and craziness but I really like her. She's nice and doesn't like it when other's are upset, and that is just like me! And there are a lot of people in the real world who are like that personality wise so why not have one on the show?
Those kind of people are just weird and annoying.
I really hope you were referring to the "families" when you said that.

But being around gay females is okay? How progressive of you!
I think Frank is hot. Not as hot as JD, but still cute. The only thing that really bugs me is that he is just proving the stereotype that all gay guys are *****y and overemotional.
Frank is much better looking than JD. Although, I do think Frank might have some issues to deal with. However, JD was horribly rude and lashed out at some of the sweetest people like Sarah. The cast seems pretty interesting and the location is awesome. I like to see cast members that can be social, but also are very intelligent. So far so good, but let see what the next few weeks bring.

It's a real shame that people have to spew their hate because someone isn't just like them, don't understand them, aren't related to them etc. God Bless!

I find it interesting (and predictable) that people are so quick to totally dismiss some of the roomies so quickly when nothing really significant has been shown of them yet. It's episode 1. There's still more to learn. Yeah I have my opinions, but I am at least open to changing them over time and I haven't dismissed anyone out of hand yet. The girls are better on screen than I thought they would be so I'll admit I was wrong leading up to now. So what if Zach doesn't like gays? Maybe it is more he just doesn't like Frank and that's where those emotions end up. Either way, I would rather live in a world where people had differing opinions than one where everybody thought the same. I am sure Zach has lots of great qualities--it is just a question of will MTV show them.
The only guy thats hot on the show is Zach, He's good looking. imo
The season premiere was off the chain but is it just me or was first half of the episode rushed? Normally they wait 10-15 minutes before they showed the series into.
Frank is much better looking than JD.
What the ****? I want what you're drinking.

No. Two things I remember him saying about Sam: "This is not someone I expected to live with in my whole life", and "I'm feeling a little nervous because I don't want to share a room with a girl, especially a girl with opposite lifestyle choices as me." I think if anything, he's just uncomfortable. If he "didn't like gays", I doubt he would have agreed to sleeping in the same room as Sam and probably would have asked Frank to switch with him (because he probably would have felt "more comfortable" sleeping with Nate, who has the same "lifestyle choices" as him).

By the teaser I can see there is going to be drama between the guys, but there wasn't anything about the girls. I liked the first episode, I was expecting something worse.
Wow, to each their own opinion, but I actually cannot believe you just said that. That makes you sound really close-minded.
Not really. I had the show on when my friend stopped by my house, the first thing he said after watching about 10 minutes of it was that everybody was just annoying. Prescilla is unbearably annoying IMO, something about her just really annoys me. Nate, although I like him, I can see how he irks people. Frank is so overdramatic and yes, annoying. Ashley and the big dude barely got any screen time. Sam was very in your face and I didn't like it. Alexandra was one of the few I liked, she seems genuinely nice and pretty easy going. For once there is a likable girl!! I am so tired of the constantly petty, conceded, overdramatic girls they cast. Alexandra and Ashley seem to be chill Although the cast is a bit annoying, I loved the episode. I was expecting something boring and completely different but it seems like editing has changed and made the show more fun. Looking forward to the season

Maybe overemotional but definitely not all are *****y.
All? I'm sure you didn't mean that, but if you did careful there. Maybe overemotional but definitely not all are *****y.
I worded that wrong. I'm gay, and I'm not *****y or overemotional and I know many who aren't either but what I mean is that when people see guys like Frank on TV "representing" gays, a lot of people assume all of us are like that. However, I still think Frank is a cutie ootie.

We have had problems with different categories of homosexual men on televisions "representing us" for longer than that. It doesn't take Frank to make or break us.
What do you mean assume "all of us are like that"? We have had problems with different categories of homosexual men on televisions "representing us" for longer than that. It doesn't take Frank to make or break us.
Nevermind.

Lol, he is cute but I think Zach is much more attractive imo!! Edit: Although, not totally into the long hair haha.

I replied to someone who said "I also come from a family where we do not accept gays (girls are excluded though). Those kind of people are just weird and annoying.". In that case, "those kind of people" = gays. I was pointing that I thought it was wrong to say that kind of things; to me it's just like saying "we don't accept black people. those kind of people are weird and annoying" or "we don't accept Jews. those kind of people are weird and annoying".

There is room in the tent for everybody whether or not some assume positions that are the polar opposite of others under the Big Top. That friction is what drives progress.

I would however like to know what the connection between TMZ and homosexuals is that you speak of. As far as I know I don't think TMZ has any affiliation with homosexuals or the community. Care to explain this rather weird statement?
I worded that wrong. I'm gay, and I'm not *****y or overemotional and I know many who aren't either but what I mean is that when people see guys like Frank on TV "representing" gays, a lot of people assume all of us are like that.
I completely understand what you are saying. For instance with the person I replied to above that thinks gay people are "weird and annoying"....when he sees someone like Frank getting sloppy drunk and throwing a tantrum like he did that just reinforces the stereotypes he already has in his head about us. It's a shame because so many people who don't know gay people in their real life see someone like Frank and ignorantly assume that we ALL must be like that cause they've never seen anything to the contrary. Either way theres really nothing we can really do about it, people will think what they want to think.
Oh okay :D I agree with you then :)
Haha glad you do :) And I actually agree with you on most of what you said about the cast, although I'm not a huge fan of Alexandra's yet. I really can't tell why I don't really like her, because the general consensus is that she's the best cast member this season.
