Still haven't decided if I'm actually gonna watch season 3 yet. And those songs seem rather.... strange.. very broadway-y.
Yeah, the broadway doesn't bother me if it works with the context of the story. They haven't really done that all too much with the broadway songs in the past. I'm still going to watch, but if it's really lacking, I'll definitely be stopping.
Good move going with musical based songs as Lea/ Matt and many of the others come from that world. They tend to be some of the best perfomances. ( Defying Grafity) As long as they avoid making "original" songs I'm okay with Broadway. I would even appreciate them having some songs from Rent being added in this season or guest roles from someone like David Hyde Pierce.

I'm still going to watch, but if it's really lacking, I'll definitely be stopping.
They may not do a lot of broadway songs but they certainly have taken some pretty good rock songs and performed them in a broadway way which is the greater sin in my opinion. That said, they are supposed to be having fewer songs and fewer musical numbers this season. I don't really believe that, but that is what the producers are signaling in their interviews. I'm not really excited since Sam is gone but I will at least hold on to see what they do with Damian McGinty's Rory character which is supposed to start in episode 4. I am not thrilled either with Quinn's new look--she is less hot in the stills I've seen. The most recent list I have seen of Seniors makes it looks like most of the cast will be leaving this season which makes me wonder if instead of a spinoff they are just going to go to college in season 4.
First listen Friday is back!!! Songs on the premiere (They changed the way you can listen and it's annoying and doesn't even say who originally sung the song. You also have to "like" the FB page): "We Got the Beat" "Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do" "Ding **** the Witch is Dead" "It's not Unusual"
In case anyone hadn't figured it out yet: Heather Morris, Lea Michele and Naya Rivera are singing We Got the Beat Lindsay from the Glee Project is singing Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do Chris Colfer and Lea Michele are singing Ding **** the Witch is Dead Darren Criss is singing It's Not Unusual The cast (solos by Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley) are singing You Can't Stop the Beat
Also, some of the songs for next week's episode ("I Am Unicorn") according to Amazon: Something's Coming (West Side Story) I'm the Greatest Star (Funny Girl) Somewhere (West Side Story) Idina Menzel will be back for episode 2 as well. And Emma's parents (Don Most and Valerie Mahaffey) and Mike's parents (Keong Sim and Tamlyn Tomita) will be making an appearance in episode 3, "Asian F".

I'm excited about having her back, she's amazing.
Idina Menzel will be back for episode 2 as well.
 Love her!!!! I'm so sad I have classes Tuesday nights from 7-9:40!!!! I'll just have to wait an extra day, no classes Wednesday so I know what I'll be doing haha.
I really hope they don't keep on doing this kind of music :( I do like the story lines though!
I really hope they don't keep on doing this kind of music :( I do like the story lines though!
They said the first couple of episodes are very Broadway-heavy.
I really hope they don't keep on doing this kind of music :( I do like the story lines though!
Those types of songs are the first one's that come to mind on any singing scripted show. They don't really bother me, but it would be nice to get a mixture of all genres.
They said the first couple of episodes are very Broadway-heavy.
I figured that would happen. It bothers me somewhat, but I understand since it is part of the story line with Kurt and Rachel.
I figured that would happen. It bothers me somewhat, but I understand since it is part of the story line with Kurt and Rachel.
I actually really enjoy the Kurt and Rachel storyline. It has major potential to go far.
I actually really enjoy the Kurt and Rachel storyline. It has major potential to go far.
I really like the story line as well. I am kind of confused though because I heard that they will still be doing next season. I wonder how they will let them go to NYC and still be on the show.
Those types of songs are the first one's that come to mind on any singing scripted show. They don't really bother me, but it would be nice to get a mixture of all genres.
Well that's because you love musicals :D
Well that's because you love musicals :D
But that doesn't mean I love all Broadway songs. I only love certain musicals. The songs they did this week seemed to fit in with the storyline they were going for, so that's why it didn't really bother me. If it was just randomly thrown in, then that's another story.

Taking the warbler jacket off Blaine turned him from sort of cool to a big dork. I read somewhere that Kurt's dad is supposed to end up being Sue's main rival for Congress.

I feel as if he's the only character that could ever pull off that look. As for the info on Kurt's dad, I kind of like that idea. The storyline would be more entertaining, although I think it's sort of unrealistic to have Sue run for Congress. It's just so strange to me that they decided to make this Sue's storyline. I guess they couldn't really come up with anything else though.

Darren Criss is a total hipster. That's why he exudes that vibe as Blaine. I like the dorky sweater vests. He's adorable.
"Britney, what are your plans for the future?" "Wait, are you working on a time machine too?" ***** i was cracking up.
"Britney, what are your plans for the future?" "Wait, are you working on a time machine too?" ***** i was cracking up.
Haha same here!! I liked Kurt and Rachel's too, "married by 30, LEGALLY!!!" I loved when he said that!!!

A rivalry between Kurt and Blaine is supposed to heat up over the lead in the school musical per many sources.

I like Coldplay. I don't like Matthew Morrison so much. He is neck and neck with Rachel and Kurt as being too cool for school diva camera hogs for my liking.

She's basically the biggest character Glee has.
This song makes me want to kick baby puppies in a fit of rage BUT she really looks hot in this and dances her *** off. Glee - Run The World (Girls) - FULL Scene - YouTube
WOW@ that episode... I did not see that coming. I thought it was generally a good episode though.... very touching.
Michael Ausiello is reporting that both Kurt and Rachel lose their virginities in episode 5, "The First Time".
