I also really want Tommy gone. Him and Tara. They are both so irrelevant and they each have sucky story lines. I've really enjoyed this season so far.
Tommy is a waste of a character.
Anyone surprised that Tara once again is sucked into something ridiculous. Sheesh, same spin, slightly different focus.
Count me in as being SO. SICK. OF TOMMY. Gaaah he's such an *****!! I'm glad Sam threw him out but I'm nervous to see what Tommy will do for retaliation. I just do not trust that kid.
And Tara? Yeah, honey, you shoulda stayed in N'awlins. I get that she came back to BT when she heard Sookie was back, but why the **** didn't she go back weeks ago? So yes, of course now Tara is sucked in under some spell just like she was with [strike]Rosie Larson's mom[/strike] MaryAnne.
OMG I REALLY hope Jessica doesn't burn up. I can't imagine they'd kill her off, but you just never know. I really like her character. I DON'T however, like whatever is going on or could-be-about-to-go-on with her and Jason. I don't want them to get together. It's bad enough if she leaves Hoyt, but I hope her and Jason would both know better or have enough respect not to start boning in the woods like his sister.
So Lafayette see dead people now? Not surprised.

 I get so annoyed when she says it like that!!
As for Tommy, I really like his character, and have developed a soft spot for the kid, maybe because I'm the youngest between me and my brother. Whatever the case, I hope Sam can forgive him, even though it'll be about the 12th time. At the least I hope he says "Sam Merlotte!!" One more time!
Tara: Way to trick me into thinking I'd like you this season by being a lesbian cage fighter, how crafty of you. Now, have something tragic happen to you again, quiver that lip, and leave Jasmine Reynaud Parish for good this time...
I'm another huge Jessica fan that really hopes she doesn't get fried by sun. However, who can stop her?? Jason's (why didn't you drive there?) a human and all other vamps are powerless during the spell!! Maybe Alcide will randomly stroll along and man handle Jess.
I thought this episode would be free of Demon Baby, I was wrong. As for Lafayette, he's nearing Tara status, I miss seasons 1/2 Lafayette that wore head wraps, and called any and everyone *******, and recommended Eric be slapped!
What an episode this was! I knew that eventually Jessica was going to realize her feelings for Jason. Before long, I think he'll go looking for her. Antonia is plain evil. Bill was right not to trust her. I wonder what that spell was at the end that she did to Eric? She seemed to be controlling him....
Debbie is just so jealous, I can't stand her. Alcide picking Sookie up at the end was a great scene.
I don't like Alcide's packmaster either. Looks like Sam will have a tough time with him...
Kind of glad the demon baby story line was somewhat wrapped up. I do think the episodes keep getting better and better and I'm just really ready for them to kill off Tommy. He has got to go. Shifting into other people is getting him no where, except bloody and beaten. I also really wouldn't mind if Bill were to die, but you know that would never happen...wishful thinking on my part.
Alcide is such a ******. Wow.
I just met him yesterday and I must say he's just as gorgeous in person as he is on the show. Not to mention towers over most normal human beings.

Just looking at him vs. Sam in the scenes tonight shows how big this guy is, yikes.
I'm happy that he finally owned something. He has always been a standoffish character and in that moment, he became this powerful werewolf. It was very cool.
After Marcus' demise, I said to the BF, "I'm so glad Alcide was the one to finish him and not Sam!" AND he stood up to Debbie. Way to go, Alcide!
I was amazed at the rate things were starting to wrap up. Marnie's dead! Marcus is dead! Everyone is free! What now? Oh snap, Lafayette is possessed again...whoopsie!
Also, where in the world is the Andy-fairy-sex going??
P.S-Fab, you met Joe Mangienello??? ZOMG-FANGIRL-SQUEEEEE!!!1
How did you physically contain yourself? Pics or it didn't happen. ;)

I was practically tongue tied the entire time staring at his face. I'm trying to remember if I even spit out any words at all, but I remember asking him why he had glitter all over him. He answered that was from Kristen Bauer, which made me giggle and look like a complete nerd. It was an autograph line, so pictures weren't permitted, but I do have the autograph proof :D And yes, he said he would howl for me!!

I must say that I am so proud of the writers/Alan Ball for finally killing off lots of unnecessary characters! Tara is dead! Tommy is dead! Debbie is dead! Hot Shot (seems) to be forgotten! The only one I was semi sad about was Jesus but it looks like we will see more of him in ghost form through Lafayette.
Also, VAMPIRE STEVE NEWLIN! That was a fun surprise.

I don't think Tara is dead. They will probably go with her being in the hospital recovering. The bullet seemed to grace the back of her head. I rewatched it on dvr, and it seems like it.

Don't rain on my parade!
I know the shot "grazed" her but that is a lot of blood plus a traumatic head wound and I just really want to be rid of her character. She was annoying to the max last season and was pointless this one.
I couldn't help myself!!! I swear. I haven't watched it yet, but everyone was going ape**** crazy on Twitter about Tara dying. I had to see if it was true. Thank goodness!! I'm with tots, I want her gone. Definitely can't wait to watch this later :D
I don't want Tara to be killed off from the series I dont know why but I have always liked her character, I just she makes it to another season. But if she dies then it is okay she saved her best friend.
WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE UPSET ABOUT TARA?? She's Sookie's BFF! You guys are heartless, heartless *******s.
But on another note: Jose too?? What the...?
Also, The first 45min were pretty slow, and I thought it was pretty cheap that they threw so much random **** in at the last 5minutes: Bill & Eric killing Nan, Vampire Steve Newlin (!), and the Debbie/Sookie/Tara debacle.
To be honest, after last weeks awesome episode, I feel a little cheated regarding the finale. Now it's time to wait....again...which sucks. :p
ETA: What the heck was up with RENE showing up?!? What did he say to Arlene about Terri? I think I missed it but she looked **** freaked out when Terri came up behind her.

I'm sad for Sookie but throwing a party for myself and not having to deal with her again.
His name is Jesus, btw. ;) And that was sad.
The finale was just a lot of talking and pretty lame. They just had lots of filler to get to the last 15 min where they could start teasing for next season.
Rene pretty much said to be afraid of Terry and to get away from him. That he had met his "ghosts from his past" and they weren't going to wait around for ever.
Don't you guys worry, Tara will be saved...
Vampire blood, or becoming a vampire, or a spirit or a zombie. One way or another there will be plenty of pointless plot arcs dedicated to Tara next season!
p.s. I'm assuming it was Russell that was in the parking garage and someone dug him out?
p.s. I'm assuming it was Russell that was in the parking garage and someone dug him out?
Yup. Either he was dug out or escaped.

I was under the impression that he was telling Arlene to be afraid of the guy that said Terry saved his life, not Terry, but I could have heard it wrong.
Hopefully Sookie dropping both Eric and Bill will lead to Alcide/Sookie relationship storyline :D I also really like the Sam and Luna. They are just too precious, along with Jessica and Jason. I like them as well.
Overall I thought it was a great finale. The characters that bit the dust kind of needed to go anyway. I really can't wait for Russell again, if they really are setting up for that!
"You can't trade magic like ******* Pokemon cards."
Best line of the finale so far :D
Definitely a winner. Tied with Pam's gem of "I’m so over Sookie and her precious fairy ****** and her unbelievably stupid name. F*** Sookie."
I was under the impression that he was telling Arlene to be afraid of the guy that said Terry saved his life, not Terry, but I could have heard it wrong.

That's what I took away from it too. That with Terry now comes his "ghosts" and "demons". So it's not necessarily Terry that Arlene should be afraid of but his past that is coming back to haunt him.
The dead characters really did need to die and I think they were smart about who they eliminated. I would probably trade Jesus for Holly or another minor character taking up screen time but in the end I'm okay with it.
I'm excited for Russel too. Here's to hoping it's a compelling story line.
I dont know what some of you guys are talking about, but this was the best finale of true blood ever imo!
-Hoyt beats the *** out of Jason (deserving/long overdue)
-Jason and Jess have hot ***
-Andy and Holly finally take the place of Jess and Hoyt of cute couple
-Sook finally ends the aggravating threesome
-Alcide confesses his love for sook, so hopefully they get together next season
-The return of Gran and Rene
-Terry's army buddy (i assume they had a relationship by the way his friend was acting as well as when terry introduced arlene)
-Sam and Luna are finally off to a good new start to their relationship... but with a certain wolf lookin for revenge
-Steve now a fanger instead of a fanghater (how ironic!)
-Pam breaking down with Ginger.. so sad
-The king has escaped!!! but how was he freed?
-Debbie = Dead, Marnie = Dead, Nan = Dead, Jesus = Dead, Tara = Dead? crazzzzzzyyyyyy
-Bill and Eric alliance!! will be epic
I mean really... i couldnt have asked for anything more... this blew my mind! Season 5 will be amazing with all the new storylines they just opened
I really hope tara isnt dead... i know most people find her annoying but she makes all the other characters likeable when shes around... her convos with lafayette (what goes around comes around ******* :P)... girl talk with sook (sook needs that)... plus i liked her bi story and i want Naomi back! plus the fact that she is only one of the four (tara, jason, andy, hoyt) normal humans in the main cast and we dont want that number going down anymore.
Best finale ever.
202mitch, you did point out a lot of what was good and those are many of the reasons I'll keep watching. This is not a series I am even considering dropping.
