I still really like my team. Longoria was hurt and has been in a slump lately, Howard has been colder than ice, and we all know about Crawford's early struggles. Once those three come around (which Crawford already is) I think my team will be a force.
I will say, you do have the king of a has been All Star team! *cough* Jeter *cough*
As for position players, I'll be honest in saying I would not trade you any player at any position straight up. I feel I have you beat 1-9, easy (as in my position guys will probably double the output of your guys before October.)
My biggest issue right now is that I'm going to be benching 100+ points a week.
Crawford might be the only exception in the long term (as a guy I might want) but Jacoby is a fantasy stud so why would I want the guy batting eighth when I have the guy batting first? Longoria is the future, but Youk is mashing and is on the way to putting up career a OPS. As far as Howard, he lacks pedigree and isn't a Prince. Nor does he have the numbers of said royalty. ;)
6-1 without ever really having a healthy team, hopefully sandoval, holliday, and sizemore come back soon. Also you have to believe adam dunn will figure it out eventually.

Some can talk a good game (like me.) You are playing a good game and have only lost once. Very impressive.
Heck, I won't even mention that I've had more points scored against me than you've scored total. Really, I don't want to bring it up as this is a moment you should enjoy. It would be inconsiderate to mention you are almost 200 points back of my lead leading points total or try to bring up the reality that the West is a very weak conference. It would be wrong. Very wrong. :wink3:

The only reason the west is so weak is because i scared most of the teams off. Look at spinner you remember how excited he was about the draft and the league? Next thing you know he's randomly placed in my conference and seems to have quit, Sure this might be a coincidence but i doubt it. My low scoring is just an anomaly Dunn will come back and a picked up a stud SS who was somehow available.

I'll give you that, heh.
You have beaten on Spinner to the point of quitting. I knew I always liked your style of play!
Just a quick heads up...
Anyone fielding a team that I consider dead (i.e. no roster moves, no transactions over a month's time) will not only be banned from future seasons of baseball, but football and any other sport we do here.
Yes Spinner, I mean you.
Some people never even showed up for the draft.
I have their names/addresses a case of eggs and a crate of toilet paper. You know the previously discussed rendezvous point. See you there. Make sure to wear black.

Yes!! I finally have a reason to wear my cat suit!!
I feel like there are maybe 4 of us still active. In case there was any doubt about me since my lineup wasn't set properly this week, I am certainly still active, just had to deal with real life stuff and I forgot to check my lineup.

I know you are active, just getting hit with lots of bad breaks.

My prediction: .305BA 17HR 90RBI 68SB
Ellsbury is on pace for .316BA 17HR 76RBI 57SB. So while not 100% on the mark, I'm not bat **** crazy either. Funny thing is, he's just heating up.
Finally picked up a win after a terrible string of losses. Maybe the return of Joe Mauer helped. A bunch of my roster got injured last week, so had to replace Martin Prado with Walker and Jimenez with Jon Lester. Seems like Jimenez has been having a rough season when it comes to injuries.
I'm outscoring the league by a wide margin, yet can't string together wins. I've either scored the most points or been playing the team that scored the most points practically every match-up this season.
I've had more points scored against me than any other team and interestingly enough, I am the only person who has put up more points than what has been put up against me (which plays into the fact that I'm getting everyone's best week.)
That said, I'm only a game out of a playoff spot, so there is still fun to be had.
Here are the standings, if we were playing in a league where points mattered (a.k.a. rotisserie baseball) rather than a random luck system...

Yes, I'm a little bitter, heh. :D

I'm kinda suprised my team has scored the second most points in the league, I have had a couple weeks where my team barely scored over 200. Despite my loss this week, I am happy with my 8-3 record.
Looking for a SS. Can anyone help me out?
Hanley Ramirez is on the block. Please take him. Really, he's yours...
(On the upside concerning Hanley, I don't feel as bad now about the Sox trading him for Beckett - although one can never feel "bad" if a trade is made and your team wins the title that year, regardless.)
.500 baby! Now if only I weren't a dumb *** and actually remembered that you have to set your lineup for the week before sunday night, maybe I can get above .500.

I was going to call you out for having Crawford in your lineup, but decided to give you a pass being half the teams have players OUT FOR THE SEASON on their starting rosters, heh.
(Crawdaddy might be back Saturday.)
The Cutty Sarks Juggernaut is starting to rear its ugly head. I could literally go on vacation for the rest of the season and still win the scoring title. :wink2:

The most telling stat...

I've led the scoring 5 of 12 weeks. No one else has led it more than once (and I was probably playing them that week.)
Only rotisserie baseball from here on out. I'm done with this "head to head" ****.
Yes! I'm slowly climbing up back the ranks! Insider, it's me vs you this week!:devil2:
You can expect to win. I suck. :(
My team is starting to slip, lost two in a row. Josh Johnson's injury has finally caught up with me, Alexi Ogando was pitching like an ace but he has had his a** handed to him the last few times he has pitched. I should have traded Johnson when I had the chance.
Best record in the league at the all-star break, hopefully my team can continue winning and have a strong second half to the season
Yawn.
I am absolutely destroying the field with consistent scoring and lead the league by a wide margin (468 total points more than the next team.)
It just happens that I lose .5 and 1 point games on a weekly basis and get everyone's best week...
(Which of course is why next year will be roto.)
The second half will be different. It will be the Sarks time to shine as I leave the competition in the dust! :bye2:
