To those "in the know":
Something I've always wondered is if someone has been selected to be on RW that got cut in the prior season's Finals round? Does BMP keep in contact with people they like and then ask them back... even give them a free-ride to the semi's or something? (I'm obviously not talking about Fresh Meat.)
Thanks, as always, for your insight.

If you are asking if someone who went deep into the casting process for RW season X was brought back in the final selection process for RW season X+1 or 2, I don't know, but RW cast members will probably know. Perhaps one of them will contact Bacchus or molds13 privately with the answer.
At lease two people appearing on Fresh Meat 1 were in the cast mix for earlier RW seasons, including Denver.
Oops lol was it his first or last name?
He's your top castmember...shouldn't you at least know how to spell his name?
His last name is Lueck.
I may be really behind in this news, but Real World San Francisco is on MTV.com, I'm watching it right now! (I hope... I may fall asleep if this insomnia spell ends) :-D

I'm watching it for the first time, I feel different watching this one because the RW's now seem so fake and expected, while this one they are just here for the experience and have no idea what is going to happen.
Has anyone seen this? Clearly its old, but still.. I don't agree with most of their choices.

Yeah that list is pretty bad. I think their idea of annoying is different from mine. For example, CT isn't annoying to me necessarily, just a violent *** often. Whereas I have no idea how you can have a list of annoying cast members and not include Erika from DC.

Yes, it was posted here before when published. It was lame then, too.
Is it just me or did anyone else think after the first 7 people that the maker of that list was a "tad bit" not in favor of black people?
Also what did Beth do on her season that caused her to be a villain then too?

I just presume that the people who made the complete list were:
1. Idiots,
2. Racists, and,
3. Completely unaware that Beth always coordinated her strategy with a senior person at BMP before a challenge started. (Most people don't know that she was a theater major in as undergraduate. She's very good at playing roles. If you look carefully at the each challenge, you will see that she played a slightly different role in each one.) Bottom line: she was there to create drama. Too bad some of the cast members didn't realize that until it was too late.

So was Beth ever actually there for the purpose of winning, or did she go in to cause drama and then at some point in the show leave either by elimination or quitting? Were either of the times that she decided to leave the show pre-planned, or did she actually leave for the reasons that were stated on the show?

She would have been happy to win, and had every expectation of doing just that during The Duel. Production had other ideas.
The simplest way I can describe it is that she was there to make "good TV" whatever the situation. It was what production expected of her and in hindsight, as Brad said from a cast perspective during a reunion show, Beth does create good TV. She set up lots of situations for the cast to have their on-camera moments.
I can only speak to one event because both Beth and Tonya have talked about it somewhat openly. In episode 3 of Inferno 2, hen Tonya threw Beth's clothes into the pool, she did it with encouragement from production. It was perfect timing for Beth to leave because she had a conflict with another obligation at the Sundance Film Festival. That episode has been regarded by TV critics as one of the best challenge episodes, and it was real in that moment, but both worked with production to give them what they wanted. Two years later they finally had a chance to sit down privately and laugh about it.
On one other occasion, she was not coached when she refused to do the Beach Brawl elimination vs Aneesa on Gauntlet 2. Off camera she had told production she wouldn't do it because she felt it was sexist and she knew that Aneesa fully intended to pull Beth's top down. She didn't fault Aneesa for her strategy, but wanted no part of it. Nonetheless, she went to the site and did not on-camera "not going to do it." The TJ reaction appeared "in the moment" but was obviously staged. That didn't make Beth happy, but it's entertainment TV, not a documentary.

Thanks for clearing that one up for me! :)
I still don't get why BMP would've ever sent home Beth over Svetlana! The only possible explanation I can think of is if they were grooming Svetlana to be their new main girl. It just seems that Beth is such a notorious "villain" on these shows that would want to keep her around at all costs.

In bold... Yes.
They have done the same thing for Rivals. At the end of the season, I'll have some info on how that happened if it is not discussed during the reunion show.
That Svetlana/Beth Duel is probably in the top 5 of the most BS calls on a challenge. Though I never liked Svetlana and it did indirectly get Kina eliminated later, so I'm probably biased in my reasons for thinking it was BS. But it really was. I actually think Beth had a solid chance of winning the Duel, too.
This might be kind of a stupid question...but do the roommates get to go to stores and stuff and go shopping? Cause I know that places have to be cleared by production for filming. Or do they just hand production a list of what they want? That would be problematic for some people (like me :P) who only use or eat certain brands.

I remember an episode of San Francisco where they went to the grocery store but I can't remember any recent seasons but I did see a box of organic cereal on the counter in the DC (or NOLA2) house that I use so I'm not really sure if they're allowed or not.
So Sally Ann Salsano, creator of 495 productions (Jersey Shore, Diaster Date, Shot at Love, More to Love, Tool Academy) was a finalist for The Real World: Miami. Who would have thought a "Real World Reject" would have such sucess on MTV 10 years later.

I saw that a while ago. I found it interesting! Especially since she created Real World's essentially biggest rival.
Welcome to Vevmo! I want Atlanta to be a real world city soon too, but I don't think that will anytime soon, because the Mayor was against it.
Hasn't that been dismissed as a fallacy?
Side note: I'm taking the summer to do a Real World marathon. I'm watching all 25 seasons in order and blogging my thoughts on each one. So far, I've completed four seasons and I'm about halfway through Miami.
Gonna be a fun summer, haha.

Dismissed countless times, and that rumor was several mayors back, but that doesn't stop some people from writing down whatever pops into their head, with no research. Sigh...
BTW, Beth says thanks for your very flattering review of her on Season 2.:moon:

It's been about 2 years since I've made that comment and the Atlanta mayor has changed since then. So it seems the new mayor has no objections to shows like these.

Here's something that I just thought of...
...Has there ever been an attempt/want/chance of casting a midget on a season of the Real World? That's certainly never been done before on RW.
