I personally like the route that MTV is going by integrating new concepts. It keeps the cast on their feet and doesn't allow for (too many) pre-game alliances.
Unfortunately, I would say that the majority of the cast knows who else is going on a challenge as well as a basic concept. It'd be nice for them to be completely surprised when they get to wherever they're going.
I would like for them to be completely shocked also. I want to see another individual challenge though. Those have more strategy I think and the challenges are more intense.
Or a gauntlet/inferno. I think Battle Of the Sexes is history, cause guys would win almost every challenge.
My preference goes to Inferno 4 or Gauntlet 4 with Gauntlet 2 team captain elimination system.
I'm pretty sure the Gauntlet and Inferno challenges are done with. We're at season 21 right now. We're discussing season 22, if there hasn't been another Inferno or Gauntlet by now, I think its safe to say there won't be another one.
I was very surprised that they didn't do a Duel 3 after Cutthroat though because, we've heard people say, "I will come back for a Duel 3". Ex: Evelyn, Darrell, Mark. I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way. I felt like the Duel 3 was built up so much by challengers that I thought BMP would do a Duel 3 as season 21.
I think it would be awesome if they made a new individual challenge. No teams, no pairs, not a Duel, but a brand new individual challenge format.

I also like the new concepts. If I had to pick a season for the concept to be repeated it would be The Ruins, but that's only if they would pick a cast that isn't completely lopsided on the Champs side. With more selections from FM2 and the newer RW seasons I think they could easily make it happen.

I was actually referring to Battle of the Seasons. And i think they're done with Gauntlets and Infernos. Everyone would be considered a "bad ***" and the way people are doing challenges now, everyone seems to be a vet too lol

I don't know how the challenges could get anymore intense than what they have been lately. I'm assuming you mean more intense than the last time they did an individual format?

Agreed, and don't put both shauvon and casey on the challengers team cause then they're just destined to lose.
Next ruins can we have CT on there please? :p And some more tough girls like Emily (DC)

A Ruins 2 would be pretty cool, my only problem with that is, if you look at the people who have won challenges since the last Ruins, we've had a few new Champions since then, Tyler, Brad, and Dunbar. Now that they have won challenges and would be casted on the Champions team, who would be left on the Challengers side that would be to make the teams even. The Champions will always be stacked and the Challengers are always going to suck. If you could assemble a team of Challengers and Champions and make it even, what would it be? I think if CT even knew that it were a Champions vs. Challengers format, he wouldn't do just because all of his friends would be on the other team and he'd be in the situation Brad was in on the first Ruins and knowing CT, he'd probably end up getting kicked off again. Ever since Tyler, Dunbar, and Brad won Cutthroat, there really aren't any strong Challengers anymore on the guys side at least. As long as the Ruins is a Champions vs. Challengers format, the girls will always outlast the guys on the Challengers team.

Newbies could come from:
NOLA2, Vegas2, DC, FM2(Noor, Sydney, Jeff, and Pete), And there's still some oldies like CT, Adam, Jenn, etc... And i never considered Dunbar to be strong or entertaining so i wouldn't put him on Ruins 2 anyway. But that's just me.

Wasn't Rivals a complete suprise? It would be really funnyif we saw them figure the concept just by looking at who else was there like Paula or something or even upon arrival.

Not to everyone...
When I was looking at the cast list as it came together, I knew right away that, based on who they cast, there was some sort of drama/rivalry/enemy concept.
It's a matter of HOW they employ the concept. For example, I really like that the last place team this time around goes directly into elimination. It makes people not slack off.

Ae you serious? The last place team automatically went in? Oh suki-suki now. xD
And lol, I didn't notice it until I saw the list complete.

I forgot who's podcast i was listening to (it was probably Adam King on Brandon's podcast) but they said that they had heard it had something to do with rivals, they didn't know they'd be teammates or anything like that but they heard of a general concept. And they were confirmed as they look around at the cast, everyone started picking out their rivals from the group.

Yes, MTV mentions it on their website under the challenge description. The cast votes for the other team to go in.

I think the biggest question for the cast was whether they would be working with or against their rival. One of the concepts floating around was two teams.

From NO2 and LV2, I think the strongest male competitors would be Leroy and Knight. Adam seems like he could do alright, as well as Dustin. For the girls, I think Cooke and Nany would bring some drama and athleticism. From NO2, I would put Knight and maybe Eric. Ashlee would be great at the challenges, but no other girls from that season. I guess you could throw Ty on there since he seems to be a challenge regular now and Emily as well. Mike from DC would be alright. Andrew would suck so I wouldn't put him on there, I don't think Josh showed any interest in the challenges, nor was he entertaining. As far as Fresh Meat II people, Noor and Jeff were boring and didn't bring anything to the show. I think Pete should come back, Sandy I can see making a return, Sydney and Carley I don't think will come back.
So if I made a Challengers team for the Ruins 2 it would be as follows:
Guys: Leroy, Adam, Knight, Eric, Ty, Mike, and Pete
Girls: Laurel, Ashlee, Nany, Cooke, Mandi, Sandy, and Emily
Last time I talked to Sandy she told me that she would do another challenge if she was asked.
I don't understand why BMP doesn't someone at least once if they want to do a challenge. They may have been boring on their season but who knows how they will react when it comes to money and competition. I'd rather have a bunch of fresh faces than to see the same people over and over and over.

Tonya is the classic example, imagine if she had never got the chance to do a challenge, we'd just remember as the the uptight, god loving, hermit.

I agree, there's plenty of people who I'd like to see who have only done one (or no) challenge. Whether it be because they weren't asked or because they've denied an invite, I'd still like to see (semi-recent castmembers):
Angel
Alex
Isaac
Ashli
Trisha
Brianna
Joey
Brittini
the entire Cancun cast
Emily (DC)
Mike (DC)
Ashlee (NOLA)
Jemmye
McKenzie
Knight
Eric
the entire Vegas 2 cast
It's funny cause the mist boring castmembers where only boring compared to there other roommates put them in a big pond and watch them act more of a fool.
Prime Example Derek Vs Vinny,He was basically mute on RW Cancun put him on a challenge getting into arguements.

So far, CJ, Derek, Emilee, and Ayiiia were on the show and i don't think any of them made an impact lol. Their season was filled with drama but as individuals they didn't stand out at all.
Prime Example Derek Vs Vinny,He was basically mute on RW Cancun put him on a challenge getting into arguements.
I think Vinny's more of any example for that. He was so chill on FM2 but on Cutthroat he went into full crazy mode. I still don't know why he went off on Eric like that. I guess he was just embarrassed. And the way he flipped out on Sarah didn't seem right to me because at that point he was the worst male on their team and was the right choice imo.
I know Real World Dallas has been said here a couple of times. But there are other great cites in Texas such as Houston and San Antiono. There also Padre Island and Corpus Christi

Well for one they were eliminated early. And actually Jonna, Jasmine, CJ, Emilee, Derek AND Ayiiia have done the show. Joey and Bronne haven't thank god.

Well i know Jasmine and Jonna did a challenge but i can't comment on their appearance on the show yet.

I liked everybody on Cancun and the way they all interacted with each other, so I like whenever someone from their season is on a challenge.
I dont care how much a person stands out if they're actually gonna contribute to their team and be a physical player. I wouldn't say any of the eight castmembers from Cancun are terrible physically, not even Emilee and Ayiiia because, Ayiiia lost a stupid elimination and there was more to Emilee's Gulag than what was shown, but apparantely Emilee is done with challenges anyways.
It's hard to judge people from doing one challenge, that's why I want to see the Cancun cast do more because I feel they have potential, especially Jonna, Jasmine, Bronne, Derek, CJ, and Ayiiia.

Well from the trailers, i think Jonna and Jasmine are gonna contribute a lot both in drama and competition.
Weird feeling the Challenges might not be renewed. BMP doesn't really seem to have much enthusiasm lately on twitter for either the Real World or The Challenges.

I agree. I really wouldnt be very happy if my first challenge was a partner one, I'd much rather it be teams or individual, but it does seem like Jonna and Jasmine are going to make some noise, which makes me happy.
Jonna kind of got screwed twice, first challenge she was supposed to be one was FM, which requires a partner, and now Rivals...also partners. Poor girl can't catch a break.
Jonna kind of got screwed twice, first challenge she was supposed to be one was FM, which requires a partner, and now Rivals...also partners. Poor girl can't catch a break.
At least she got to actually be on Rivals and compete for the money. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the reason she got "screwed" the first time off of FM2 was because she lost her passport?

I don't think that makes or breaks the show. If the Challenges are still profitable for MTV and BMP, they are going to continue to make them.
