Maybe Real World: Shaker Heights, Ohio (Cleveland--home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). Atlanta, Memphis, or Dallas would be okay I guess. The others are too thuggy or too blah.
I think they should do a Real World in Nashville. I had such a great time when I went there. So much fun.
I also love the city of Milwaukee, but I don't necessarily know if it would be an interesting location for TRW.
I've been waiting for Real World Atlanta ever since it was "highly rumored" after the Vegas season. Yeah, the crime rate isn't the best but Buckhead(nicest area of Atlanta) is one of the best neighborhoods to live in, in America. Atlanta has WAY more history than a lot of cities that have been done & I just really want to see it!
I also think Toronto/Montreal, Houston, Nashville, Phoenix & Memphis would make good locations.

Nashville would be a good city if you wanted to feature aspiring musicians/song writers
As much as I would like RW to film in a new location, I wouldn't put too much hope in seeing it in one of the small-market cities that have been previously listed. Based on Jon Murray's opinions from this article, very few of those cities (other than maybe Atlanta or Dallas) have the "fantasy" appeal that he speaks of. I am expecting a return to either San Fran or Boston... or somewhere international.
Although I do agree with his preference in choosing a location where the cast can get lost in the city and not be the talk of the town, if that's even possible nowadays.
I never saw the first one but Hawaii would be a great place to go back to, especially since they are filming in summer and airing presumably in winter.

I live in Nashville and go to a predominantly music/music business school and aspiring musicians/song writers are EVERYWHERE. I know people that have been trying to get into the business for quite a while. Practically almost impossible, unless you know someone already in the business. That is a good reason to come to Nashville, but really only if you want to do Country, Christian, or some type of Indie music and even then you would have a very slim chance. Also, I don't think MTV's demographic are the country music listeners. Honestly can't see it happening any time in the near future.
I live near Nashville and I love it, but the cast would have to be musically involved for Nashville to work at all in my opinion (it is the Music City after all). And as fabulous mentioned, it is dominantly country/christian music which does not appeal to a lot of the demographic. And honestly, people watching the Real World these days do not want to see aspiring musicians (I wouldn't mind), they want to see drunken drama and hookups, and yes there are bars and clubs in Nashville but there are plenty more in plenty of other cities.

Taylor Swift lives in Nashville, did that MTV show where she went to prom with somebody, and is popular across the demographic, but you are right. Would be a good place to have maybe a spin-off show for a season or 2 like Jersey Shore/RW hybrid where you could watch ******** be ******** shooting stuff and rising ATV's and aspiring musicians all at once.

People in Nashville are far from being "********," that's a tad too north or a tad too south ;)

They could import them from other places (or just have a sign up booth at Walmart).
Did not stop them for going to DC
Ah, but the house was located in one of the safe areas of DC (and there are many). Residents of the P Street at Dupont Circle where the RW house was located does a decent job at self-policing, too.

That wasn't stereotypical at all.

Of course, you are right. In fact, when I go to visit my aunt near Nashville in August, I will be sure to take my cousins aside and apologize to them personally right before we go out on the ATV's and shoot stuff. They will be so offended I didn't even mention the pick up trucks or the gold fishhooks on the bills of their ball caps.

I understand, and I love DC, but I would argue DC has higher crime then a lot of other places they have used to film.
As far as safe places in DC.....I guess safe is relative lol

This subject is a dead horse... Nonetheless, the crime stats from LA and Brooklyn are not much different than the location of the the DC house. In that area of DC, crimes tend to be "owner fails to clean up after pet..." or "same *** violence to which police respond only to discover it was just role playing..." It's also close to the Vice President's home at the U.S. Naval Observatory.
If he are flogging dead ponies, excluding the unreported crime that goes on in the halls of Congress, Southeast DC is the reason that city's rates are so high. When We were there visiting it was murder. murder. murder, drug robbery, murder in that part of town.
I doubt Real World even thinks about crime rates when they pick cities or else they would be on farms in Montana.

Been to NY and live a hop, skip and a jump from DC so I am well aware of the crime rate.
Still does not intice my to attempt to go to the District more then I have to, though part of that is my fault. When you live 10 minutes from DC you tend to never have time to visit

Yes, SE has quite the reputation.

Not sure where 10 minutes from DC is since it takes 15 minutes to cross the Key Bridge due to the congestion :wink2:

My current office is in Rosslyn, VA (part of Arlington), accross the Potomac River at the foot of Key Bridge. I can walk across the bridge in less than 10 minutes and have done so to lunch at Clydes of Georgetown, but technically, D.C. begins mid-span on the bridge. OK, this horse beyond dead, and past rigor...
Fair enough. If there was no traffic and VDOT was not doing any work I could make it in 10 minutes, as it is is would take me 5-10 years.
Reminds me of an article I read in the WAPO the other day:
Question: Annie wants to get to down town DC at 9AM leaving from Fairfax, VA. When should she leave
A. 8AM
B. 7AM
C. 1964
With that I bow out.
Cheers,
-VA

Wow that house looks gorgeous. It almost nice enough to host a challenge cast there (despite the fact that it might be too small for 28+ people).
