The Real World: Generic Thread

Mine are the first New Orleans (2000) by far and then Chicago I guess. Oh, and I'm 25.
Boston and DC are my two favorites. Shout out to Philly and Miami though :)
So I have a question that I don't think really constitutes a new thread. I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Jasmine(RW: Cancun) originally applied for Bad Girls Club, but Bunim-Murray ended up casting her for Real World. I was just wondering if there are any other known instances of Real World cast having originally applied for BGC, or another show. Or vice versa, cast from other shows having originally applied for Real World.
I think Kori from some season of BGC was originally applying for Real World. I don't really keep up with BGC so I'm not completely sure, though.

Cookie from BGC 3 applied to be on Hollywood and made it really far, but was later told to apply for BGC.
I think some of the Challenge and Road Rules people may have originally auditioned for Real World but ended up next door.

But if she were on the RW, it would've been either DC or Cancun.
Brooklyn and Chicago are my favorites. but I adored, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, Paris, Key West, Denver and New Orleans (2011) too.
My favorite seasons have been: San Fran, Miami, Hawaii, New Orleans(2000), Brooklyn, and New Orleans (2010). I’m 26 and seen almost all the seasons; however, I’m going to confess, I didn’t even watch a single episode of the latest season…it just looked stupid, and quite honestly…it’s not difficult to cast a bunch of dramatic people in a house – I’d rather see people with stories. If they are going to do another “back to” season, I wouldn’t mind seeing Miami or Chicago. I just hope they avoid New York and LA for a while…those cities are so over played. I still think Atlanta, Orlando, and Nashville would be great cities for the show to film in. I’m also a fan of them taking a bunch of conservative people and putting them in a location like Fire Island or P-town (two of the wildly gay towns in the country) to see what happens – that would be extremely interesting to watch.
My favorite seasons are Chicago, New Orleans ( 2000), San Francisco, and San Diego. I'm 23 by the way.
This Vegas season is def my favorite so far but I haven't watched, or even heard of, some of the seasons mentioned by others.
This is painful to read.
My parents' solution to us watching too much TV was to have only the very basic cable service that didn't include MTV. The networks, some local stations, PBS, TV Guide, HLN, Weather, and 157 home shopping channels were my only choices for far too long.
In your opinion guys, which Real World had the best trailer? For me it's Philadelphia and Sydney
In your opinion guys, which Real World had the best trailer? For me it's Philadelphia and Sydney
Sydney. Denver.
For some reason I've always thought the Real World Denver was the best trailer. I don't really remember a lot of other trailers but Denver has always stuck out to me.
Hollywood had a pretty cool trailer.
My favorite seasons are New Orleans 1, Chicago, San Diego, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty partial to New Orleans 2 and Paris (which most people think sucked) as well. I'm 21 and I've actually only seen from Hawaii-on. I would LOVE to see Boston and Seattle (and the first five seasons), but I just haven't bothered to find a way to watch them. I watched Hawaii in like 3rd grade and have been watching ever since. As far as trailers go, I have a hard time remembering them (I don't know how you remember the Philly trailer!); However, I will say that I do remember thinking that the Austin trailer was like the greatest thing ever sophomore year of HS, and that season totally disappointed me. On the flip side, I thought the trailers for the past two seasons (New Orleans 2 and Las Vegas 2) were pretty bad, and I really enjoyed those seasons. The NO trailer especially did not leave me very excited for the season at all, and then I loved it so it's hard to judge based on the trailers.
Shockingly, I loved the Brooklyn trailer! It made that season look like it was going to be amazing!!
it was amazing
I liked Brooklyn as a TV show a lot, but that cast is mostly so arrogant I can't stand them now. I heard a podcast with JD where he was talking about how their season was so different because they were all mature and professional. He is the guy who broke a table over nothing and ripped a phone out of somebody's hands and the wall because nobody was paying enough attention to him; Chet spends his days antagonizing real celebrities and, sometimes, just fans, on twitter, or at least tries to; Scott is a 24/7 infomercial for how great Scott is; and Ryan is so full of himself that he won't bother interacting with anybody unless it's about how wonderful his book is (which it isn't--400 pages of him *****ing about everybody & everything like a Can't Do Know It All). Sadly, I can't even rewatch the season anymore and enjoy it because of those guys being so surreal in real life.

I just wish Brooklyn had a bit more non-drunken drama, because some of the episodes were very stale.
Brooklyn gave us Baya, so I can't say too many bad things about it. Then again, it also gave us Sarah...

You can do a one week free trial and rewatch the season :)
I thought the best trailers were Sydney and Denver, which turned out to be above average seasons for me. I thought the Brooklyn and DC trailers weren't interesting at all, but I happened to love both seasons.

The Vegas cast is a lot worst than Brooklyn though imo.
Watching the London season on Hulu, i miss how down to earth and laid back the casts used to be. Can't wait to watch San Francisco, from the clips i've seen it looks pretty good.
