I love polls...
O I forgot to vote, so that make six active players, still it should be 10.
I know on yahoo you can replace managers mid-season. Is this feature available on cbssports?

Sorry I haven't been Active. I forgot, it's not Football (which I love so). I will be more active :)
My match-up this week is going to be a nail biter. I'm down 5 points with lots of baseball to play.

I need to do something about 2nd base.
I need to do something about 2nd base.
I'll take Pedroia off your hands. Heck, you can have my amazing second baseman Uggla straight up. I know Pedroia sucks, but I have a soft spot for him... p.s. You somehow managed to have an illegal roster this week.
It's last season all over again. Second most points...only one game out of the cellar... p.s. As usual, the cyclones are getting lucky, with preferred match-ups.
Yes, I'm just whining and honestly if it was only points based it would not be nearly as fun. The random draw of a given week is something that adds a layer to the game you can't find in rotisserie. I'll tough it out and I like the core of my team in the long haul.
I'm actually surprised that I'm ranked #3, was lower last season at this time. Will probably need a new catcher this week as I don't know how long Mauer will be out. This week's match up looks interesting!

How do I have an illegal squad? I did much better last season. I'm not getting the lowest scores every week. I just keep losing. Terrible!!

I don't have a single point thus far this week. Am I mistaken or is this strange? Lol Leave it to me.

Duh. Illegal roster. I'm slow today folks. I blame the heat. Haha
Duh. Illegal roster. I'm slow today folks. I blame the heat. Haha
It sucks when that happens, but I've seen great, engaged fantasy owners do it practically every season I've played. You just need to roll up your sleeves and dig in next week. :D
The fantasy baseball Gods have it out for me this season... Nothing like putting up 337 points and getting the L.

At least your Red Sox about to finish off a sweep on the Yanks!
Ouch. At least your Red Sox about to finish off a sweep on the Yanks!
That does take some of the sting out of it!
One thing that I hate about fantasy baseball is having to root for the players you love while they score against you. Until I started the Vevmo leagues, I did NL only as all my friends are Red Sox/Yankee fans and we found cheering against our own players to beat each other distasteful. Thus, NL only. Skill wins. Allegiances aside. That is why now, I try to acquire as many of "my" players as possible. It still sucks. This week, I was beat by Beckett. He made the difference. How can I be mad? Edit: I would have won if I did not sit my amazing lead leading closer for a weak two start pitcher. So I am thinking of firing the manager. Bring in new blood.
Luckily I don't have to worry about Cubs scoring against me, but in Fantasy Football, Basketball, and Hockey, I draft at least 2 Bears, Bulls, or Blackhawks players every year. What I think is even worse is when a player who you hate because they are on a rival team is someone you should definitely pick up/draft or acquire in a trade. I had Aaron Rodgers in Fantasy Football last year, that was awful to deal with.

Probably not the smartest thing to do in a fantasy baseball draft, but I generally plan ahead so as to not have to take any of those guys. I sleep better at night because of it. :D

I always HAVE to get Zambrano.
I always HAVE to get Zambrano.
Have you had success since about midway through the 2006 season? If not, that could be why...
Have you had success since about midway through the 2006 season? If not, that could be why...
I keep hoping for a comeback. Carlos Zambrano and Drew Brees are two athletes I will never lose faith in.
I keep hoping for a comeback.
He wouldn't be at the top of my list as a straight RP or SP, but as an SP that has two starts in an RP slot - it is strategically wise to give him a go. He can still dig out of this week's hole and give you some bang for your buck.

Congrats on ending my 5 week winning streak, your team kicked my team's a** this week. I get Josh Hamilton back this week but now Josh Johnson is on the d.l :(.
Haha this is very cute. Congrats on ending my 5 week winning streak
You know I am gunning for you! :wink2: Right now, I do feel I have a Juggernaut in place. Only time will tell. I don't think my record reflects what is coming in the next couple months... As usual, the cyclones have had the least points scored against which is why they've been able to put up a few W's. The top 3 scorers are all in the East (which is amazing being we really only have 4 teams and a really dead one.)
I still really like my team. Longoria was hurt and has been in a slump lately, Howard has been colder than ice, and we all know about Crawford's early struggles. Once those three come around (which Crawford already is) I think my team will be a force.
