Haha, I skipped that and tuned in right as the puck dropped.
I never watch the anthem on TV (unless it is Christina Aguilera - my favorite!)
The Bruins dominated the first (albeit not scoring a goal) and look great off the whistle in the second. The problem with hockey is looking good and having the most goals at the end of 3 are two different things.
As long as we keep shooting I think the B's will be fine. Like you said, we look much better so far tonight and we just have to keep pressuring the goalie until he breaks. My cousins are at the game tonight and I am totally jealous. I think they even got to go to game 1 or 2 also! I need to know their ticket getting ways.
It is 0-0 but the pace has been fast and the opportunities plentiful. The mini fight with the ref tackles toward the end of the 2nd capped off a great game so far. Now let's just get that 1 goal we need and let Thomas continue to do his magic!
Overtime in playoff hockey strips years from one's life... YES! NOOOO! YES! NOOOO! YES! NOOO! YES! NOOO! NOOO! YES! YES! YES! NOOOOOOOO! I'm already exhausted. This will either end in agony or ecstasy.
Power play!
Man, another OT period! So much stress.
I don't think I can handle another OT period. I need to do some yoga or something during the intermission.
My friend living in Boston just sent me a text: "Let me tell you how funny it is to watch Boston fans freak out at this bar, while I sit here completely unworried because my team has already swept."

The fans are not freaking over the hockey game. They are in fact, enjoying it tremendously. It is the fact that Dice-K is simultaneously pitching 3 times zones away that has them concerned. :D

If I wasn't stressed enough after Doctor Who, turing right over to this game isn't helping at all.
Ok, I'll admit, I'm freaking a little. That was just an amazing save by Tim Thomas! Too close for comfort. If we didn't have the best goalie in all of hockey, this game would have been over a long time ago.
Now that the Sox are up by 5 in the 7th we can breathe a little better.
Actually Dice-K settled down and has looked great the last couple innings so I can put all my focus here. ;)
I really hope the game-winner is a good one. I hate ending a suspenseful game like this on a garbage goal. EDIT: Oooooooooook...could have been worse.
Gooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllll!
I really hope the game-winner is a good one. I hate ending a suspenseful game like this on a garbage goal. EDIT: Oooooooooook...could have been worse.
I'll take garbage!
YESSSS!! Thank goodness for Tim Thomas being superhuman and making that last save.
"And the Canadiens now lead it three games to two!" YouTube - Versus fail Bruins beat Canadiens This is why VS is a joke. Glad I watched the game on NESN. At least they know which team is in which color uniform, haha.
Hockey! Hockey! Hockey!
Montreal fans are PISSED! I don't think throwing things on to the ice is going to help their team though.
Geez, you guys are still in the first round? :D
Geez, you guys are still in the first round? :D
You might want to be careful that they don't get too comfortable having all this time to put their feet up and sleep in. It might make them a little lazy when they have to finally play hockey again. ;)
There have been a TON of penalties in this game.
There have been a TON of penalties in this game.
Those 5 on 3's are not helping things... We are dominating 5 on 5 hockey, but when we are on the power play, we seem to lose momentum and the fact that we gave up both goals down two men is a bit of a sore point.
I guess on the bright side, there is nothing more exciting as a Bruins fan than a playoff game 7 against the Habs.
Boston was the 3 seed, right? So it looks like Montreal will be playing Washington next unless the Sabres can mount a phenomenal comeback.
Boston was the 3 seed, right? So it looks like Montreal will be playing Washington next unless the Sabres can mount a phenomenal comeback.
Wait, wait. Slow that roll. There is still game 7 in Boston. :D
Wait, wait. Slow that roll. There is still game 7 in Boston. :D
Yeah, I realized that last night. How come you guys are so far behind everyone else?
Thank you jeebus! Now we only have to survive 10 more minutes of play!
