The Sox outscored the Jays, 21-3 over the last three games. Baseball is fun again!
I have tickets to the Mets/Astros game on Thursday.. haven't decided if it's worth the gas money to even bother going. They're pretty good seats though.

It is one thing for the Expos to get taken over by MLB. It is another thing for a storied franchise like the Dodgers... Los Angeles Dodgers taken over by MLB
There was once a time when I hated the Yanks more than anything. But after going to several games in Oakland, Red Sox fans are much more obnoxious than Yankee fans. Although its hard to know what qualifies as fans, seeing as most of those people are probably from California. I have had friends who have been to games at Fenway who have said the fans there were really cool. But the ones that go to Oakland games are not. Not at all. I will still cheer for the Sox over the Yanks any day of the week though.

I had the unfortunate experience of sitting next to an obnoxious drunk redneck who was wearing an Oakland A's hat. After sitting there a few hours I came to realize that all Oakland fans are obnoxious drunk rednecks...

Saw a post on facebook for field level seats and the guy only wanted 20 bucks for them which is way beyond face value. I hear you can get Mets and Yankees tickets real cheap on Stubhub too. If your screen name is any indication and you are a Yanks fan I wouldn't waste the gas money unless you are a big Jason Bay fan.

If the court case with Bernie Madoff drags on this could be a very long summer.
Beckett is looking great tonight once again (no hits thus far through 4.) Of course, I'll be sound asleep before this one is over. Thankfully, the Sox only play four 9PM or later games this season (and all this week.) This yearly early season West coast road trip is always a pain (for east coast fans.)

It would seem there is an underdog New England baseball team, which at one point was 2-10 that seems to be getting a little traction of late. Now I know the fact that everyone wrote them off a couple of weeks ago means they have no chance at accomplishing anything this season. That said, I'm going to watch anyway being I like baseball. So while the odds are stacked against this longshot, I have a feeling good things could start happening and maybe, just maybe, we won't finish with the worst record in baseball. :wink3:
5 straight wins now. Team batting average is at .239 though.

Every time I see someone in public wearing a Yankees cap, I approach and engage them to see if I can spur some light-hearted ribbing/conversation. It's become apparent from doing this over the years that 9/10 people wearing Yankees apparel are such great fans that they can't typically name 3 members of the active roster. :dash1:
Opposed to pink hat wearing redsox fans who have remarkable knowledge of what's that's happened since 2004, and could name all 5 of their teams aces it's really remarkable.
Quite the sexist statement... I have a pink hat wearing cousin that has been watching the Sox for 20 years and even stays up for those crazy 2AM west coast adventures. She has the license plate Redsox1, named her dog Remy and could probably list more Yankee players (including prospects in the minors) than some of the most ardent Yankee fans. The "pink hat' slight is a red herring. If a woman wants to wear a Red Sox hat, which happens to be pink, it doesn't in anyway speak to her game IQ (or lack there of.) Not to mention, pink hats were around well before the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. Now I personally would not go to a game with a girl wearing a pink hat, but that's just me.
Quite the sexist statement...
I wasnt reffering to girls wearing it or anyone wearing arent pink hatters just what bandwagon redsox fans are called? And remy is an awesome announcer. Also i probably would think rangers have the most obnoxious fans.
arent pink hatters just what bandwagon redsox fans are called?
Yes, but decorum states that only other Red Sox fans can call bandwagon Red Sox fans, "Pink Hatters." If the phrase is used derrisively against one of our own by an outside entity, bandwagoneers and super fans alike bond together to skew the attacker's statement and make them look like chauvinist pigs who ruthlessly mock dedicated female sports fans. :devil2:

A nasty bunch, in my experience around 23 major league ballparks and 10 spring training facilities.
Seems like everyone has bad experiences at some time or another at every ballpark. I haven't been to as many stadiums as V1man but almost all of my bad experiences have happened with Angels fans. The rudest bunch I know.
Dodgers fans will shank you!
Dodgers fans will shank you!
Right? How crazy was that? I was more surprised that people stayed to the end of the game! Dodgers fans are usually only there for innings 3-7.

Cubs fans are so delusional it is actually kind of sad.
I think Tampa Bay Rays fans are the most obnoxious... They continually whine about payroll inequity, yet can't tell me what the inside of Tropicana field looks like being they've neither been there or seen it on TV. Typical Rays fan conversation: Rays fan 1: Ray's win again! Rays fan 2: I know! We are awesome! Rays fan 1: Did you go to the game last night? Or watch it on TV? Rays fan 2: No. You? Rays fan 1: No, but I caught the score on the ESPN ticker. Rays fan 2: Haha! Me too. Rays fan 1: Ready to play some golf? Rays fan 2: Yup.

They had 12,446 fans come show up for a playoff clinching game last year and then proceeded to offer 20,000 free tickets so fans would show up. But they had no problem selling out arods 600. Pirate fans are also annoying regarding big market teams feeling that they are the yankees farm system when before this year the last good player they developed was aramis ramirez.
Rangers fan are the most obnoxious? Thats pretty funny the most obnoxious fans are Yankees and Cubs fans. Cubs fans are so delusional it is actually kind of sad.
It's not that funny especially when you have had the pleasure of chatting with them on some game logs i mean you really need you A game to try to convince them that michael young isnt that good and certainly isnt a borderline hofer. It's also pretty sad when they chant steroids at an ex player. of their ball club and a player who took steroids while on that ball club. In general it seems they're oblivious to how well he did with them and some even have the nerve to claim he stopped them from winning.
I'd say that Dodgers fans are quite rude and annoying. When they're at our park (AT&T), they start a lot of fights with our fans. I've heard them slapping and giving bloody noses to Giants fans on numerous occasions. (And there was this winning Dodgers girl at a game I attended. She wore a jersey/shirt of an old Dodgers player with a skirt. She got in everyone's faces) Phillies fans seem kind of rude with the signs made towards the Giants during the NLCS. I'm not exactly sure that's how they always are since I don't follow them closely. The Boston Red Sox fans that I've experienced can get kind of annoying. But, they're not that bad or anything. Yankees fans however annoy me to no end. Haha.
