It's not that funny especially when you have had the pleasure of chatting with them on some game logs i mean you really need you A game to try to convince them that michael young isnt that good and certainly isnt a borderline hofer. It's also pretty sad when they chant steroids at an ex player. of their ball club and a player who took steroids while on that ball club. In general it seems they're oblivious to how well he did with them and some even have the nerve to claim he stopped them from winning.
I find it funny because I am a Rangers fan. Michael Young has been a very good player for the Rangers and is a class act, he has had to move positions 3 or 4 times and hasnt complained about it. That being said I wouldnt consider him a borderline hofer. I'm assuming the player you are reffering to is Arod, yeah he was a good player when he was in Texas, but his monster contract set the team back for years. As for the steroid stuff that is childish considering he was on them when he played in Texas but steroid users are going to get mocked that's just how it is.
Some of my favorite games have taken place at both Fenway and in the Bronx, with those two storied teams facing each other. I've always been treated very well in Boston and always look for a group of BoSox fans to buy beer and a few dogs for at Yankee Stadium. The rivalry is all the more fun when you get to know the other team's fans.
There's a Rangers/Cowboys fan I work with (back in TX) who is definitely the most annoying person in our office, but I doubt it has much to do with sports. It just compounds the issues with him.
I think Red Sox fans can come off as annoying because there's still a general sense that we are underdogs sharing a division with NY. Therefore, we tend to get a bit more excited than is prudent at every win (or NY loss). I can see where Mets fans might come off as indignant because they are the "other" NY team.
Crawford is starting to hit, which frankly means nothing to me from an actual baseball standpoint.
It means a lot to the Red Sox. :D
The game at Fenway just started up again. There is a weird vibe as the place is empty, but loud as the only fans still there spent the last two and a half hours getting wasted at the nearby watering holes. Lots of random clapping, boos, cheers and yells. Somewhat surreal.
Entertaining, actually!
Beckett was pitching well before the rain delay, so it is a shame he didn't get the opportunity to win the game. He has been solid over the last few weeks.
Wild finish in Boston tonight. Can't believe they just tied that up. Walden has been unhittable lately.
I was sound asleep well before the conclusion. A 13 inning game with a 2.5 hour rain delay ends well after my bedtime, lol.
Edit: The total start to finish time was 7:35. Yikes.

I didn't start watching until the 9th, but I finished watching the game. My thoughts:
Bad luck for the Sox. Mike Cameron was surely going to be the winning run on an overthrow by Hank Conger, but it hit the umpire's leg and rolled right to the shortstop for LAA and he was out at 3rd. Then, McDonald, pinch running for Big Papi, blatantly ignored the 3rd base coach and broke for home. Interesting to see Dice-K come in relief even though he is scheduled to go Friday.
Last night; reading about it in the morning was bad.
Today. I just wanted it to end and it would not.
Thankfully, baseball is the most forgiving sport. Put your head on straight and get out their tomorrow. We are only 4 games out with a rapidly changing tide.
My friend told me that Verlander had a no-no in the 8th inning. Glad I didn't turn it on to watch...
(I turned on the Galarraga game last year at the 9th inning)
I'd say that Dodgers fans are quite rude and annoying. When they're at our park (AT&T), they start a lot of fights with our fans. I've heard them slapping and giving bloody noses to Giants fans on numerous occasions.
(And there was this winning Dodgers girl at a game I attended. She wore a jersey/shirt of an old Dodgers player with a skirt. She got in everyone's faces)
Phillies fans seem kind of rude with the signs made towards the Giants during the NLCS. I'm not exactly sure that's how they always are since I don't follow them closely.
The Boston Red Sox fans that I've experienced can get kind of annoying. But, they're not that bad or anything.
Yankees fans however annoy me to no end. Haha.
Apparently I am annoying. Sorry about that.
Gregg Zaun is doing the "color" commentary tonight for NESN. He could put most people to sleep with his delivery, but he has amazing inside knowledge on parts of the game I don't often think about.
Zaun is very knowledgeable about baseball. Not so good on color, but who needs color when we have the game. This isn't radio and the play by play guy will always make the calls.
VMart is lighting it up. How I wish he was still behind the plate in The Hub (but we all know he will be a full time DH soon, so sadly I agree with the Sox decision to let him go.)
While the Sox got rocked today, it sure is nice to see AGonz and Ortiz clubbing the ball. That gives me hope.
Verlander's last two starts have both been great. Whoever has him for their fantasy team must have had a great couple of weeks.
Is he still pitching a no hitter?
