I enjoyed last night's episode too. I still don't think aliens are out of the questions, but I don't mind aliens. I think the daughter still might be in on it. Show's now aday's try to throw you for a loop... We shall see how the show progresses.
Last nights episode was VERY interesting. Was that chinese man pulling his veins out? (I shivered) :p
Last nights episode was VERY interesting. Was that chinese man pulling his veins out? (I shivered) :p
I don't think it was a vein. I think it was an implant with blood (not his) so that they would not realize he was an evoHuman. p.s. I am going to call them evoHumans until something better comes along.
I don't think it was a vein. I think it was an implant with blood (not his) so that they would not realize he was an evoHuman.
Definitely what that was. I didn't like that part! *shudder* But I do love the time-traveler theory. It makes sense, and I like that idea better than aliens. This is a pretty gripping show. Not since Fringe have my man and I both been so rapt in the same program (shocking!). :p It's well done, and it keeps me interested without getting TOO confusing (I'm looking at you, Lost). I wonder what Sylvia's "people" are going to do now that the President won't listen to her??!! They "mean us no harm", yet locking them up again would be a "mistake".... In the words of Double-Rainbow Guy... "What does it MEAN?? What does it all mean?!"
evoHumans...nice ring to it? lol I am beginning to think Sophie (is that her name?) and that other guy leader who escaped were together. Anyone else think that when they flashbacked to 1942?
Lots of good information tonight and a great episode in my opinion. This is the breakout show of the year as far as I am concerned.
I'm finally caught up with my viewing of this and I'm starting to think this as well. I needed something to replace the confusing universe that we called Lost.
Notes:

I think I was wrong about the girlfriend. Not in on it.
The flashbacks are going further and further back. It is like Lost, but totally different at the same time as to how they deal with the story jumping around.
They really pushed the 'aliens' theory, which means there is no way they are aliens.
My guess is still, time travelers, with the theory that they can't share information for fear of changing the future (or something to that effect.)
The reason their DNA is 1% different is because they come from a time so far in the future that natural evolutionary progression has changed their makeup slightly which would explain the DNA disparity (or possibly they have used technology to engineer their longevity.)
It seems like there are many factions. The unaware. The "good" evoHumans. The "bad" evoHumans. The "good" government forces. The "bad" government forces. And finally our hero Sean and whoever he can get on his side. It is hard to tell at this point who is who and with each event which faction is pulling the strings.
I'm definitely hooked and do think they are doing a good job at answering questions as they pose them. All my theories are probably wrong, but I love a show that actually makes me come up with theories! There are not many "challenging" shows these days...
I like hearing your theories because they are way better than what I could come up with. I'm glad you scratched the alien one for now, because I will still have none of that. I'm liking the name evoHumans though. All great points. Also here are the ratings from Monday: The Event - 9.060 million viewers - 5.4/8 HH - 2.9/7 A18-49
I'm glad you scratched the alien one for now, because I will still have none of that. I'm liking the name evoHumans though. All great points.
Aliens, might be involved - but I don't think they are aliens. There is a side theory of mine in which they were kidnapped from earth thousands of years ago, but I won't go there. ;)
Finally got around to watching the 3rd episode. I don't know what it is about this show, but each week it just keeps getting better. Yet I'm still thoroughly as confused as before.

I watched it tonight. I thought it was good! :p We finally got to find out quite a bit more info, and I hope it keeps the momentum it picked up tonight.

When I actually saw the commercials again for it, I really thought it was some kind of joke.

Hahahah this show is so amazingly horrible, it's funny. It's an epic fail, but I can't deny I enjoy it. The acting is bad. The story is bad. The writing is bad. The chemistry between the leads are bad. But I like seeing the creepy little kids.
The event slide another 14% this week (after a 26% the week before) as NBC decided to air classy episode on nuclear meltdowns even with all that is going on in the world right now. I'll say the way things look now, the only way to see the finale will be online.

Tha acting is g-d awful and the story line is whack. But I thought Monday's episode wasn't too bad, when it came to the entertainment factor.
