I think I've said this already, but from the names I have been hearing floating around, it would appear that if MTV were to do a Duel next season, it would be an awful cast. In my opinion, the Duel should let the best of the best shine. Some of the names are...well, not the best of the best.
The best of the best have been on every challenge already, I want to see new people . Like I would definitely like to see Darrell, Wes, Landon, Mark, Johnny Bananas & CT come back; however I want new people so the show won't be so similar to any past challenge. They need to make a FM3 soon because this new Real World cast has like only 2 people who would be cut out for a challenge. I hope Vinny, Dan, Laurel & Emily from FM2 come back. I also would like to see Cohutta make his return along with the people I mentioned earlier. If Joey Kovar didn't get all up into this drug bs then I'm sure we would've seen him in a challenge already, dude is cut up.
Ehhh no more Fresh Meats...pleaseeeeee. That concept basically made the challenges go down hill. It would have been better if the fresh meat weren't allowed to come back and were only on that one season.

Bro, seeing the same people over and over and over again gets tiring. I think they need to bring back Jeff Barr from FM2, if the dude bulks up a little more I think he could be somewhat of a threat. Or maybe Pete.

We dont even know if the challenges will be around in a year or two, much less where we should be thinking about another Fresh Meat. And how do you know about the Las Vegas cast? We havent seen them yet.. so you shouldnt already be saying how many of them should be on the challenges. Also, there was no Dan or Emily from Fresh Meat 2. Dan's original season is Road Rules: Viewers Revenge and there is Emily from RW: DC and Emilee from RW: Cancun.
Here's a question that's been bugging me for a little bit: Was Timmy going home on The Inferno 3 a cop out for how injured he was? I mean looking at that again and what I've heard about Timmy's legs, it looked to me like they came up with that as an excuse since he had to go home anyway. Any insight on this? Also curious if there's any other odd occurrences like this in Challenge history.
I've wondered about this as well. It seems like a pretty unfair DQ to me, I mean, Beth and CT physically ripped the flag/ring during Push Me on their own, but after the pane of glass fell off of the structure, what could Timmy have done about it? But regarding his injury, ya never know I guess. The Inferno left him with permenant damage so there's no way, had he have won, he would've been able to compete afterwards. And I'm not sure what you mean by "occurences", but if you mean an elimination being played off as "real" when there was more of a story behind it, then another example could be Diem vs. Tonya on the Ruins. Diem knew she had to go home so Tonya was given the win there.

Well we will and if I was a betting man then I would bet that at most 2 of them would be cut out for a challenge after the season. Well Emily is freshmeat/freshman/new to the Challenge. And my bad for mistaking Dan.

I agree I would love to see a majority fresh face challenge. The old guys either fade into the background or take up to much camera time.I would love for anyone from Austin-Las Vegas 2 and FM's,RR 14 to only be on this Challenge, even though I know that not possible.I think that all the FM we saw on Cut Throat from season 2 will be the regulars with maybe Pate and Noor.
Not only that, but how the **** did that piece of glass fall like 20 feet out of the air and not break on the concrete floor?
The glass was harder than you think.
The world probably would have ended.
Nice. I completely agree or... everything might have changed... The girls could have won on BOTS, IF they knocked down there puzzle (who needs a 45 minute lead anyway?) If Coral stayed, Road Rules would have won the Gauntlet. Piggy would have lost it for the Road Rules team IF she stayed on the Inferno. IF Tina would have taken Arissa's spot, as the final girl on BOTS2, they would have won (BOTS2 wasn't rigged or anything.) IF Beth stayed on the Bad-***** team, they would have won. Honestly who knows? isn't "What If" kind of... juvenile? "What If" kind of irks me, if it's regarding something that already happened. I mean if you say something that has not happened than I can possibly understand. But do you think such minor details can affect the game? I am not trying to be rude, sorry if I come off that way, (and I can be sarcastic at times) but I am curious... Do you think the outcomes would have been completely different? I guess I live life as "everything happens for a reason" so I don't really get the "What If" philosophy... But just a question, do you or anyone think things would have been different with the outcomes if certain things did or did not happen.
I'm not really ecstatic for FM2's future challenges, I fell like the FM2 kids are being used as fillers much more than the FM1 cast. Cara Maria, Noor, Laurel, Carley, Pete and Brandon are the only FM2 kids I'd be excited to see on this new challenge. If the challenge series gets renewed, I think Cutthroat was a huge turning point. (Off the top of my head) I think they had about 13/30 Vets and 5/30 Champions so I feel a "generation" shift here. :D
Maybe a chance for the weak competitors to rise to the occasion huh. So I suspect we are guna see some competitors such as Shauvon, Casey, Johanna, Mandi, Theresa, Emily, Jemmye, and other "weaker" competitors.
Jemmye hasn't even been on a challenge yet lol.
Jemmye hasn't even been on a challenge yet lol.
Lol I guess everyone's pretty much assuming she's gonna be on it because of how popular she was in New Orleans. They probably think she's weak because she's small, but she might like KellyAnne. Small and Tough.

It is very much to the point. I'm often reminded that one can either spend one's time making things happen or wasting time thinking about "what if," "If only," etc... I'll permit myself just one "what if." What if the producers during The Duel didn't decide after a 30 minute private discussion that Beth would be disqualified so their favorite little 'Svety' could last another day...
I'm persoanlly can be a fan of the "what if" game, but it has a tendency to get pretty lengthy. However, if it's going to be played I guess this is the thread for it. Of all the "what ifs" mentioned, the only one that I think would have caused a change in outcome is Coral getting bit by the spider. The RW team was very strong at that point, and I really do think they could have won. If Piggy was on the Inferno, the season would have been a lot crazier. When I first heard Piggy was supposed to be on the season, I was kind of bummed that she never made it on my screen, but I think the Inferno was a very dramatic season, and if Piggy was on it then it could have been over the top. If the producers let Beth stay (which I think they should have, but I don't want to argue about this), she probably would have left in one of the next few episodes. My guess is that Diem would have lost to Jodi in the final.
Here's a question that's been bugging me for a little bit: Was Timmy going home on The Inferno 3 a cop out for how injured he was? This is just a guess though.
It would of been interesting to see how Piggy would react to Katie(aswell as the other New School Road Rulers like Abram and Darrell). But then again, Piggy wasn't much of a competitor either.

Beth had already demonstrated her physical dominance over Jodi in "Push Over" and just barely lost to her in "Rafty Race" even though she had never been in a kayak before and didn't know how to row. IMO, Beth vs. Jodi would have been an interesting finale, and much better for the show's ratings, because, like her or hate her, the ratings average for the remainder of a season's episodes after Beth leaves is significantly less than when she is in the cast. It is a fact I can't readily explain.
I really want to see Sandy from Fresh Meat 2 on a challenge but I doubt that she will. Instead they pick people like Theresa instead.

I'm getting tired of random people just jumping in on these shows.
Beth brought her A-game to the Duel, and I agree that she could beat a lot of the other girls in a good amount of the compititions. However, had she beat Svetlana, I'd guess that she'd go into quite a few Duels before the final. This was also at a point when her alliance crumbling. I typically like Beth on these shows. While I don't always agree or support everything she does, she make the show interesting and isn't afraid to stand up to the big dogs. I don't doubt that the show would have gotten higher ratings with her around.
I think if they bring back Road Rules, revamped of course, it could do really good. Then they can return back to what the challenges were originally about "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge".

"Viewers Revenge" was the last nail in the coffin.
I think Aneesa could've beaten Beth in any game except maybe I Can. Ascender - Aneesa > Beth IMO, Pole Wrestle - Aneesa > Beth IMO, and in Push Me Beth took how long to beat Svetlana even with a big weight advantage ?? Enough said. Oh and in I Can ?? Who cares ? That game blows.

I just have a gut feeling if she comes on a challenge, she will do good.

That game blows.
"Enough said" may do nothing more than demonstrate your lack of understanding of what actually happened in Buzios. Beth did nothing for several minutes except to hold off Svetlana's efforts to more Beth backward while she waited for Svetlana to expend her strength. When Svetlana was thoroughly spent, Beth easily moved forward and Svetlana moved off the pole area and literally cried on the sidelines in frustration. It was not until Beth bent forward over the pole to reach for the flag that Svetlana ran to the pole and pushed. In Beth's mind and in the mind of other watching, Svetlana had already quit and walked off. Presumably that is one of the reasons that it took the "judges" so long to decide what to do. In my view, the myth of Beth having a big weight advantage over anyone is simply that: a myth. It may depend upon one's definition of "advantage," but Beth was about 140 lbs at that time, which was not much different than Jodi or Robin, and Aneesa was probably around 125. What some of the cast members knew -- and as Jodi said at the time -- was that Beth was far better conditioned than she had been in previous challenges and as veteran kick boxer was well prepared for the finale through her pre-challenge conditioning program. The unknown for her would have been if she could have actually ridden the para-glider used at top of the mountain. At that time she had a fear of heights. Of course, this is all ground that we have been over before, but you were not a member here at that time.
You know what would've made a good duel? Svetlana, Kina and Diem on one side of the pole and Beth on the other.

I don't see why so many people complain about the Fresh Meat kids. The FM challenges brought in a new group of competitors which is what people have been wanting for a while.
They've worn out their welcome. I actually like the Fresh Meat challenges, it's the constant invites back that i can't stand. So i guess im more annoyed with the casting than the actual challengers.

Most of the Fresh Meat kids are fine, I dont see the big deal with them. I mean girls like Theresa I dont care much for because she's really not that interesting and not that great of a competitor, shes kinda bland and boring but seems to make it far...thats what I dont like. And I really dont Jemmye will be a great competitor...really, she seems like a girl with a big bark, but a soft bite. I think Ashlee or McKenzie would be better competitors from BNO season.
