I agree with Adrian. I know that this challenges are reality shows, but I watch them because of the games, the challenges itself. I have no patience to see Real World shows, they are just boring to me.
Of course there needs to be good drama and non "boring" people on these challenges but I still think it needs a few great competitors on the show whether they're boring or not. And I can tell you from reading Twitter and Facebook that a lot of people like Derrick and always seem to root for him on these things. You wouldn't believe how many times I've read " Derrick the pitbull is on this challenge.... yeees !!" or "I'm rooting for Derrick" or something like that. I can also tell you that the type of drama on these challenges and how it is overplayed is hurting this show badly. Drama is one thing but a bunch of rediculous drunken BS drama over and over again episode after episode is another. Good drama is needed not this crap they call drama on these shows now.
I agree that things have changed since I started watching it 6 years ago. They need better drama than just drunken screaming matches that blow over within a day. I want rivalries and feuds that go way back. Like the Tonya-Veronica thing, that was EPIC b/c there was so much history. Anyway. I do like Derrick. But to be honest, I'm sick of seeing the same people win all the time. Every challenge, it seems like Johnny, Kenny, Evan or Derrick win. It gets boring. That's another thing I miss about the earlier challenges - different people won, and everyone had a chance, it wasn't the same 4, 5 people winning every fricken challenge.
Yeah its annoying to see the same people win everytime. That's why I liked Inferno 3, Fresh Meat, The Duel, and Fresh Meat 2.
I like a mix of competitivness and drama... along with weak competitors.
Kenny was mad at Evan in fresh meat 1 because he voted against kenny and tina and Evan could be a ******* but he is a great competitor and he would beat Johnny and Kenny in a heartbeat

Honestly I don't see how/why the rest of the cast keeps making it so easy for JEKD. Derrick and Evan is understandable because they're good in elimination rounds but Johnny and Kenny are really just average competitors who have losing records in head to head elimination games.

And then Johnny just comes with the bundle. Btw my favorite Derrick podcast quote so far: Dan: Whenever I get recognized people ask me "Do you really drink THAT much?" Kenny: Yeah, the probably see you coming and say "Here comes Dan Walsh, the stumble bum"

That's one reason why these challenges are slipping in ratings...Why watch when you just know that everyone will just hand JEKD the money? Where's the entertainment in that? What is there to watch?

I believe Derrick has more head to head wins than the other three combined and he's also went in more than the other three combined if you only count 1v1. I don't count Exiles, because it was really not fair on Fresh Meat 1 and there's two people. One person on the losing team could outperform the winning team by his or herself but still lose because he/she had a ****** partner.
You are changing your argument cause you were proven wrong about a losing record by adding how many head to head wins they have. Even if you remove Exiles, Derrick is still tied with Johnny but has more losses than Evan and Kenny.
You are changing your argument cause you were proven wrong about a losing record by adding how many head to head wins they have. Even if you remove Exiles, Derrick is still tied with Johnny but has more losses than Evan and Kenny.
Derrick only has more losses than Kenny because Kenny has only went in one whopping time head to head and got handled by Neahmiah. You can talk about all the losses you want (Johnny and Kenny's losing record and average competitiveness just has me questioning why all of the other castmembers on these things are scared to death to make a move against these guys) but the facts are Derrick and Evan have proved theirselves more than Johnny and Kenny ever have head to head (As I said I don't count exiles) because they have more wins and they've gone in way more than Kenny and Johnny. I said in one of my posts that you decided to jump on (as you like to do so much) that it's understandable why the rest of the cast basically respects Derrick AND Evan and won't call them out, basically saying they've earned the respect from the rest of the castmembers but Kenny and Johnny (especially Kenny) really have not.
I'm REALLY looking forward to this week's episode. I wanna see what happens when the Blue Team doesn't win this week's challenge. Who will go in? Derrick or Johnny? Will Johnny try to convince the other team members to vote in Derrick? I can't wait to see it! Who do I think should go in? Even though I prefer Derrick 1000 times over Johnny, I think it's his turn. Johnny stepped up for Derrick(and Kenny, Evan) on the Ruins so I think it's time for Diesel to pay him back. And honestly, I don't think there's anyone on the other teams Derrick should be afraid of if given a physical Gulag(anything like a puzzle or something he could lose). Abram and Brad could possibly beat him, but they aren't going in anyway so I want Derrick to prove himself and show that he is still a top dog.
I like Derrick alot more than John so I hope John gets sent in before him.

Everybody knew he was the weakest of the four, including himself, and there was no way the other three were gonna make a dumb move and put one of themselves in.

Johnny had never really been in an elimination round prior to that anyway. Derrick's done plenty. Don't get me wrong I like Johnny, but I think the only reason he said he would go in was because he knew he was going to get voted in anyway.
I like Derrick alot more than John so I hope John gets sent in before him.
And as a random little side note.. I always seem to have to think twice about who's being talked about when I see "John". Bananas has just always been "Johnny" to me and I can't really see anyone calling him John, even though that's his name. I don't know why lol.
Actually on his Original season(Key West) he was called John. I always stuck to that because I REFUSE to call him Johnny Bananas that name was always stupid to me. But Back to Derrick....Yeah I hope he continues to do well on this challenge.
According to Derrick's twitter Chet is gonna be on the next podcast with him and Kenny. I hope they rip into him and don't play the "We'll be nice 'cause you're sitting here" card. Derrick really isn't slouching with these things. Upcoming ones this weekend have Brandon and Emily.

He has asked him, but Abram didn't seem to think he could be a part of it since he's in Hawaii.

It's good that he's getting those people but I want to hear Abram, Katie,Jenn, ect. ect.. Really anybody he can that's on the final 3 teams at the end as well.
Was so nice to see Derrick in an elimination round. I like that so far this challenge hasn't given him the opportunity to fly under the radar. Derrick is so much more fun to watch when he's the go to guy on his team.
Yeah, i liked seeing the old derrick get low and wreck his opponent again in a somewhat wrestling match.
Experience is everything. The way he did on the Gulag show that. Even the fact that Brandon had already done that Gulag wasn't enough for him to take out this monster of the challenges called Derrick.

The daily of the "bee-fly"... priceless :laugh3:
New Podcast is up. Not my favorite but it's not too bad. Topics addressed include the Chet/Johnny issue, how the red team treated Camila and Brandon, the Paula/Dunbar relationship, and Laurel/Easy fight.
Has anyone heard these? I think the most entertaining ones are the ones with Laurel and Johnny. Probably because Kenny is good friends with both so he's really into the conversation and it becomes funny. And Bananas ofcourse can talk and spill all the dirt. One thing that bugged me though is they make comments that so and so is the first to do this, but they aren't true veterans like Mark Long or Coral, so they don't know everything about the challenges before their time. Kenny said Laurel was the first girl to ever make a guy cry on the challenges, when Coral made Mike the Miz cry back on the Gauntlet. Anyone remember that? Or have there not been many watching the challenges as long as I have.
Has anyone heard these?
Yes we have. You are way late to the party.
Derrick's wife Amy is gorgeous.... you're a lucky guy Derrick. I just saw her on Derrick and Kenny's Tough Mudder video Podcast, very nice catch Derrick.
