One big diffrence between Jen and Derricks game, Jen would of screwed over whoever to get to the top and makes her own decisions, Derrick just followed JEK and waits to be the fourth wheel in it, and be thrown in if he needs too.. Also as somebody else said derrick is boring and Jen is crazy and enertianing.

Derrick comes before Johnny in that alliance, that's the reason Johnny went in to face Dunbar and Derrick did not. And so what if Derrick is "boring", he's one of the best competitors on the show. I don't know if you or anybody notices, but the better the competitor the more "boring" they are because they're there to take things seriously and actually win instead of being there just to be entertaining and cause a bunch of BS drama. Landon , Derrick, Darrell, Brad, Rachel, Tori, Brittni, Alton, Timmy, and Evan would probably all be considered "boring" or whatever, but they are all great competitors and most of them win challenges unlike the morons who are there just for the cameras.

I never once said I dislike Derrick. I said he is boring and most of that is because he started to fly under the radar and go with the alliance.
He changed. Plain and simple. I don't dislike him because he changed. I don't dislike him period. I just think he is boring.
And I have no idea where bringing in Jenn came in from. We weren't talking about her. Even if she is a follower (which you seriously don't know the story about the Wes and Kenny thing) she's not boring!

You can be a good competitor and still have an intersting personaility.. Ct, Kenny, Wes come to mind.

I wouldnt say Derrick's boring (just my opinion, and I respect yours) but I just think he's toned it way down since he became a husband and father. I mean when his son grows up and Derrick shows him tapes of the challenges and RR, I dont think Derrick would want him to think that he was just a crazy guy who liked to get drunk and yell. BotS2/Inferno 2 he was a crazy/drunk/Bad ***, Gauntlet 2 he had his blow up on his team, then Fresh Meat he became this sweet, sensitive guy with Diem. And after that he went through marriage and childbirth, and that's when he starting winning, so he should be proud that his personal transformation helped him in the games and his son should be very proud of him.

CT is only interesting when he's beating someone up or when he is COMPETING and Kenny is funny and goofy, but hardly interesting and Wes is an obnoxious moron.
As far as i know the people come to the challenges to make money, that's exactly what Derrick is doing makin money. Derrick before the Infermo 3 hadn't won any challenge and suddenly he formed an alliance with his friends and he won 3 challenges in a row, so where is the bad thing about that and Derrick doesn't follow JEK he is a bigger part of that alliance Evan and Kenny are very close to him and they respect him very much

Exactly, and when people say that Derrick follows JEK, I actually feel like Derrick's moe of the, maybe not "leader" but more of the "father" of the alliance. I could never see any of them (or anybody really) turn on Derrick. Johnny? Done it to him before. Kenny and Evan? There's always something that goes on with them that puts them on the line. But like you said, he's winning money for competing and going on a little vacation. He's making a huge sacrifice by being away from his wife and son, but his wife is probably very understanding.

I loved that mission for the same reason, Derrick and Abe kicked *** and worked together so well.
If anybody can help me list them.. I [strike]seen[/strike] saw some previous seasons, from the people who root for him and are always on his side.
Derrick's closest friends:

You hit the nail on the head here, these are mostly the people he's closest with on the challenge. He, Kina, and Jodi have been close since their season and he and Katie are great friends on and off the challenges. Inferno 3 he became good friend with Jenn and Kenny, I'm sure they were civil on FM and the Duel but I3 is when it was noticeable.
Derrick's also good friends with Tonya and he and Brad were always good friends too. Considering the social circle, I think him and Robin can be considered close too.

What I always found interesting about that mission was that on the previous challenge (Battle of the Sexes 2) Derrick and Abram won the first mission for their team as well, and afterward Abram tells Derrick "lets do it again tomorrow." On the Inferno 2, Derrick tells Abram the exact same sentence. Seems like they really had some sort of camaraderie between them.
In fact since Derrick has been eligible for challenges, I think he's been on all of the ones Abram has been on (although not initially for the Inferno 3).

That's pretty much the way I look at it. He's not the brash young partyboy that he used to be. So call him boring or whatever, but remember that he has a family to take care of now. Maybe in the past, he would have gone against the main alliance, but now he'd rather stay out of the drama, perform well in the missions, and let either Kenny, Evan, or Johnny take the flak from everyone else. Since all those guys seem to respect Derrick so much, I really can't call him on it. The fact that they look out for Derrick is about the only good thing that comes out of having Moe, Larry, and Curly on these shows.
Ive loved him since the beginning<3. Especially in that cute moment when he was the new guy on the Challenges. He was sitting by himself telling a turtle that it was his only friend lmao.

He was clueless on that challenge lol. It was a frog though, and it just kept hopping away :laugh1: And he got hit by a golf cart...the title for that segment they did on him was perfect, "Derrick's Bad Day". Tina's quote was the best "And like all people, that frog left him too." hahahah poor D.
I don't know if you remember a mission in the ruins when Derrick made a mistake and the champions lost, the only people who were talking trash about him was Johnny and Wes,
Evan and Kenny didn't say anything bad about Derrick.

Yeah the one where Derrick and Cohutta had to run on everybodys back? That was the only mission the Challengers won lol. I always figured Wes had something against Derrick, like he was afraid of him and would do anything to be able to say the he was better. Not sure why I get that feeling though cause after their Duel he said he respected him and wanted him to be the godfather of his kids.
With Johnny, he always seems insecure because I think he always knew he was the weak link in the alliances.

Battle of the Sexes 2.
If Derrick browses Vevmo, hope he can forgive me for passing this around.

The way his Mtv bio is written it seems his marriage/son is finally reaching a point that may mean that this will be Derrick's last Challenge, and if he wins it I think it should be, retire with the 4th win in a row and pass the torch. He has proven himself enough already and should concentrate on being there for his family.

Johnny, Kenny and Evan aren't Derrick's friends. They are his business partners. Derrick had a minor altercation with Johnny on The Ruins, where he called Johnny out for being "the one to blame".And Evan and Kenny use Derrick for a vote and more manpower. However, I guess its mutual because Derrick uses JEK to win. Yet again, Johnny is on his team for CUTTHROAT, but he doesn't have Evan and Kenny to team up with. I can't wait to see who will prevail as the Blue Team Leader. Will it be "Gauntlet 2" Derrick or will it be "Island" Johnny as the leader????Or maybe they act as co-captains. We shall see!!! CUTTHROAT starts in 10 days!!!!

What do you mean they are not friends.. Kenny and Evan will throw [strike]Johny[/strike] Johnny under the bus to save Derrick. Kenny and Derrick are the only duo to win 3 challenge seasons together as pairs in challenge history. How can you not consider Derrick and Kenny friends more importantly.. they have each other's backs every time.

I'm pretty sure Derrick is friends with Kenny and Evan outside the challenges anyways. I'm not sure about Johnny though.
I can't pretend to know the cast members personal lives even casually, but from the looks of things it seems as though Kenny is friends with pretty much everyone on these challenges, Derrick included. But their friendship isn't like Kenny's is with his direct cohorts (Evan, Johnny, Paula, Sarah, Ryan) or Derrick's with his other friends (Katie, Jodi, Kina, Darrell)
I think the reason Evan and Kenny don't really place Derrick into situations to be eliminated is the same reason Mark Long never gets called into elimination rounds. You don't want to make enemies out of players like that because they have a lot of friends and back stabbing them once for a short term gain in a single challenge may not be worth it to challenge regulars who know this could bite them in the *** for many challenges to come. I think it's easier for Evan and Kenny to look at Johnny and say sorry but you're gonna have to go in cause we don't want Derrick turning the rest of the house on us.
I agree. Derrick totally has that power. Let's say for on The Ruins for example. From the start of the game if Derrick wanted to go against Kenny, Evan, and Johnny, his alliance would most likely consist of Darrell (maybe), Katie (due to hatred of Kenny), Veronica (would follow Katie), Tonya (would follow the vets), Ibis, Susie (due to her hatred for Johnny), Syrus, Wes, and Evelyn. The only person I would think would stick with Kenny, Evan, and Johnny would be Johanna. Maybe Evelyn if they manipulated her the right way.
Derrick's friends with Johnny out of the show, he mentioned in back in The Duel 1's aftershow and now that they've won 2 challenges together I'm pretty sure it's safe to say they're still friends to this day.
