Go figure that the one challenge I am enjoying Johnny is the challenge he is supposedly humiliated by CT...maybe I'll go back and watch The Island before his gulag lol
I haven't seen the episode so I could be wrong, but I'm not even sure there are two barrels. Theresa just takes a longer time getting to the barrel than Tori did. And I suppose CT dragged Johnny around for awhile making him look like a complete fool, then when he was done having fun with him he dragged him over to the barrel himself and threw him into it. Then Tyler gets to the barrel faster than Johnny, obviously, but apparantely Tyler didn't wanna quit so he kept fighting CT even after he won.
At least, that's how I see it all happening.
Much, much longer from what I hear.
Okay why is it that all of the girls always hook up on these challenges but not the guys? I mean other than Ryan and Davis there hasn't been any guy-on-guy action on these challenges but there have been an *** load of ************ stuff on here.
I don't think many people go crazy for guy on guy action ha ha =P
I stand by my statement that Theresa is incredibly overrated as a competitor. It honestly shocks me that her name hasn't even been brought up yet.
I wholeheartedly agree. Maybe its because she's pretty but if she was with Abe or one of the other vets she'd be like Cara Maria as well. And Tori goes against Theresa? I thought Theresa went up against Tina? Hmm. :sofa:

I don't think anyone sees her as a big competitor, but it's just how the line goes. On the blue team, it was always gonna go down like this probably= EmilEE, Katie, Emily, Theresa, Jenn. For obvious reasons, Jenn would be the last to go in, and because Theresa has been on another challenge where she wasn't horrible, that's how it goes. I don't think this means she's a great competitor, just that she's in a good position on her team. If her team was the Red team or the Grey team, I think she would have gone in quicker, but because she was kinda 1 of 3 non-newbies on the Blue Team, and no one wanted Katie, Theresa automatically got that position.
Basically she got lucky, not that she is overrated.

No...lol.
Tina vs. Theresa- Theresa takes a long, long time to get the barrel knocked over
then
Tina vs. Tori- Tori beats Tina with a better time than Theresa

I don't think it was ever ...Emily, Theresa, Jenn, I'd say they would've put Theresa in had Emily not nominated herself the same night that Derrick did. Emily had already showed she was a good competitor, so I like to think that Derrick and Johnny would've chosen Theresa first but Emily wanted to go in.

That's what I think, too. If Emily hadn't of stepped up, I think they would have put Theresa in instead. Emily would be more valuable to them than Theresa. Personally, I don't remember Theresa doing anything spectacular or remotely well on FM2 or thus far on this one, as far as I can remember. I actually forgot she was there, because she never really stands out to me compared to the other girls left on Blue.

There are two barrels. Theresa didn't take way long. Just under 14 minutes. Actually Tina disappointed me. However, I don't think she knew she was allowed to hit hers. I'm fairly confident CT just beats Johnny. They start on the ground, TJ blows the horn then it says to continued. Then you hear someone yell oh my god! I bet it's because CT stands himself up with Johnny, walks to his barrel and knocks it's over with Johnny.

Yes, it is.
Derrick: "I had a dream last night where I went into a Gulag and lost against Tyler."

And the ridiculous amounts of foreshadowing continues...
Man all the people are throwing themselves in with no clue what is about to happen! Priceless.
I love it!!! I wish they would do stuff like that more often.

I bet once they realize what's going on they'll be kicking themselves in the *****.

Worse case scenario: Derrick's got a bright future as a tv psychic.
One more thing is it true that Tyler lasted over 30min with CT?
I doubt it because i just saw the preview for the next episode.. and CT was dragging Tyler..

From jhl182's recap of the reunion where the people who were actually there and participated in the elimination talked about the gulag:
CT vs. Tyler lasted 40 minutes!!! Tyler was ****** that the show only airs about a minute of it. He wanted it to air more to prove that a gay guy can compete well and against CT. Neither of them won and the teams were yelling at Tyler to quit but he wouldn't. CT was struggling as well because Tyler's strong as ****! The cast was impressed by Tyler's performance.
Like Entropy said, the preview is an edited down version of an edited down gulag. During the 40min elimination I'm sure there was some back and forth between Tyler and CT where each of them were struggling.
CT goes against Johnny first... if he beats Johnny and beats him rather quickly, what is the point in making Tyler stay in there that long and struggle if the point is just to see which one of them does the best? Kind of seems like a waste of time to drag CT & Tyler out for that long if there's no real point to do so, plus it would only make Tyler weaker & more suspect to suffering an injury.

Tyler said it was a pride thing. And he also wanted to show people that gay men can compete, since they're usually underestimated.
I have this weird theory that the heavy hitters Gulag wasn't supposed to happen on tonights episode. First off second to last Gulag using this makes no sense, if it had been during the midway point as if to let the cast know anything could happen then yeah..but second to last makes no sense. What I do think its that CT/Tina were supposed to be the last Gulag (rumors are the final Gulag was filmed just a few days after so it would make sense for them to be there), but when production saw it was Johnny going in, they knew it would be killer to unload CT on him probably knowing the chance would never happen again. Plus as has been said Cutthroat has been done the way it has to appease certain gripes people have (alliance thus secret voting, lopsided teams so the picking was done, etc.) and well Johnny is one of them. Just a theory and in my head it makes sense. lol
From what I saw before the "To Be Continued" thing, Johnny didn't even look like he tried to put up any real resistance to CT right away. It's like he just sat there and was waiting to see what CT was going to do... which was to roll on his side to get in position to hoist Johnny up on his back.
Just saw a better preview for next weeks episode on MTV. CT literally rolls Johnnie over and stands up with Johnnie on his back and starts walking!! Priceless because Johnnie looks like a helpless turtle stuck on its back. Abe's reaction is awesome
where did you see that trailer
Mtv ran it this morning. It was different then the one they showed after last night's episode and it was different from the sneek peak on mtv.com
It shows CT literally walking across the gulag with [strike]Johnnie[/strike] Johnny dangling off his back and we see Abe screaming at Laurel (in the next challenge)to do her job or she is going in to the gulag
