You've beaten me to the punch. Great recap.

Thanks. Can I get it co-signed how ridiculous Derrick was? I've never seen Inferno 2 or BOTS 2 so I can't claim to have witness his whole history. He was great on G2 but this is the first time in a while we've seen MACHINE Derrick. And it was definitely machine Derrick in this episode.

I'll get back to you on that lol. I'm downloading the episode as we speak.

I honestly can't get over it still...I've rewatched that five minute period like five times. He's hitting Brad with the shield while stiff-arming Dunbar and Tyler's whacking him in the back and the guy WON'T GO DOWN. I really think he's jumped to #1 on my list after that performance. Watch...no one else is going to be as impressed as me and I look like an idiot. But **** I thought it was awesome...I got up and did some push ups after...my adrenaline was flowing.

Well according to the position CT and Tyler were in after their Gulag was over, I think it's safe to say CT did beat Tyler. It just took him forty minutes to do it.
For the record in case anyone was wondering the vote breakdown (I'm pretty sure) goes:
Blue:
Derrick: Derrick,Emily
Jenn: Derrick,Emily
Emily: Derrick,Emily
Red:
Brad: Tyler,Paula
Tori: Tyler,Paula
Dunbar: Tyler,Paula
Paula: Dunbar (out of spite), Tori
Tyler: Brad,Tori
I don't really remember why, but I remember at the beginning of the challenge when they started showing previews, I always that that was Katie in the maroon, not Laurel. Now I feel a bit idiotic...
It definitely looks like Johnny's trying to get a cheap-shot in there though. Oh well, I wish I could watch the episode with Johnny to see how he reacts to seeing it

Johnny tried tripping CT with his legs, which is why CT goes into robotron/terminator mode
BTW laurel and Sarah's logic is semi flawed. In the end they each got 20k/5 players. If they would have lost the challenge and cara maria went home, they STILL would have had 20k/4 players. But if Cara Maria won the gulag they would have gotten 16k/5 players...
I know if they won the Final they would have gotten more with cara maria out but getting more money guaranteed is better than getting less
They were hoping to get rid of Luke as well, which would result in $26,666 each ($80k / 3), plus a much better payday if they won the finals. Personally, I think it would be dumb to deliberately go into the finals with only one guy.
LOL @ ABE's face.
I don't think it's dumb to deliberately go to the final with 1 guy. It depends on the situation and how you look at it. If they knew before that Abram couldn't hang, then it would have been better to go with Luke alone, they may have had a better chance. One guy alone in a final is better than no guys in a final, plus, Blue already had 1 guy.
But the episode sounds amazing, I can't watch it tonight though :( but definitely tomorrow!
It seems like because Abram doesn't make it through the final he's being questioned. How would the Gray team have fared throughout this challenge without Abram? Not well at all.
This isn't directed at you cryssy19.
I can handle the 431620986532 commercial breaks, but these TBC pile-ups are just annoying.
Can they really edit the final to take a whole hour though?
Can they really edit the final to take a whole hour though?
Usually they wouldn't, but since there's three teams as opposed to the usual two, there's more footage to work with. They'll probably fill the episode with commercials anyway.

Honestly, I wasn't impressed with Abram, as I was on previous challenges. His whole game plan, in my opinion, was to make a lot of noise and yell a lot of nonsense, mess around with Cara Maria and coast to the final on reputation alone. He hasn't gone in a Gulag. He hasn't kicked anyone's *** in a mission. I think grey team would be different if he weren't hooked up with Cara Maria, then you'd see him cutting her loose or not fighting Laurel on it as much. Laurel may be flawed, but she's done better than Abram has, in my opinion and earned her spot on the team. Other than being "Abram", he hasn't blown me away with his performances.
Oh and I have to throw out a "****. Poor Paula". Thrown under the bus yet again, while Brad coasts once again.
Eh, Paula needs to play the game for herself and stop relying on her "friends" as much as she does. Yes it's good to have friends that can have your back to an extent, but you can't solely depend on them to get you to the end, you have to do some things on your own.
And as much as I dislike Brad this challenge, I think this is really the first time he's ever coasted to a final. The Duel he went in twice, the Duel 2 he went in twice, and the Gauntlet 3 there were only two male Gauntlets for the Vets and both males sent in (Johnny and Danny) ****** off their teams so they were easy choices for going in.
But I agree with you that it really aggrivates me that Brad played the game like he did. I understand he wants to win, but there have been others who were going for their first challenge win and actually worked hard to earn it, like Derrick for example.

I agree completely. She's proven she can handle herself physically on Inferno 3 and she's got the heart for it, but the politics kill her every time. If she'd get rid of the Johnny/Dunbar/Kenny/Any Dude reliance, she'd probably do a **** of a lot better and maybe even win one.
Brad from The Duel isn't on Cut Throat, sadly. You reminded me of when he actually took CT down in the roller derby challenge for the bike. Maybe if they offer the guy another bike, he'll show up and actually compete. Derrick was the only vet guy, other than Tyler, that really stepped up and went all out on this one. On these shows, Derrick's really the one to judge performances by.
Lets talk about Abram's performance on this challenge. He was the reason his team won the first challenge. Him and Luke did well on the swimming challenge. Him and Cara Maria got the best time on that challenge up in the air. According to the spoilers about tonight's mission, he takes out Brad to win the challenge. He won the basketball challenge for his team. I think he's done a great job taking charge of his team and winning. If he wasn't with Cara Maria the only difference is he'd throw her in over Laurel. Abram, Derrick, and Tyler have been the most impressive this challenge. Tyler for stepping up twice, taking out even Derrick. Derrick for not once messing up, and Abram for being a leader. Laurel has earned her spot on the team but so has Abram. Who cares if he hasn't gone into a gulag? I don't think you have to to prove your spot on the team.

Very well said, I agree with both points, especially the part about Paula. She isn't a bad competitor, but she seems to come into these games thinking "Ok, ___, ___, and ___" are gonna be there, they'll have my back so I don't need to worry." And then something always happens that's out of her control.

Everyone should have to prove their spot on the team.
He's not in the same shape he was and as far as leadership, he's put a private relationship above his team. Regardless of whether Cara Maria deserves to be there, which I think she does (physically), she's brought his game down and his statements make her look as bad as comments from anyone else. His bark is bigger than his bite.
Usually they wouldn't, but since there's three teams as opposed to the usual two, there's more footage to work with. They'll probably fill the episode with commercials anyway.
I think it also depends on the timing of the grey "injuries" too. They could just edit it to seem that they happened later in the race even if they didn't.
Why should everyone have to prove themselves?
If he plays a great social game, which he did, good for him.
Who WANTS to go into elimination rounds? Dumb *** people thats who.

I more of meant not everyone has to go into an elimination round to prove themselves. There are other ways to prove yourself and I think Abram did that by being the leader of his team. His bark is NOT bigger then his bite because he's not trying to be all loud. He yells, that's his thing, but he never goes around saying he deserves this or that. I still believe the Gray thing would be nothing without Abram.

One reason I think the older challenges are better. People showed up TO COMPETE and to get their hands dirty. Not just sit around, play politics and not give it anything.

Pssst, yeah right. Sarah was sent in 5 times, Cara twice & Katie twice on The Gauntlet. There has never been a challenge when everyone would voluntarily go in just to prove that they belong. Competitors would just kick *** in missions & fight to stay out of elimination rounds. I don't know why it comes to peoples surprises that Abram & Brad didn't go in or want to go in.
