All of this interest when the season is only a third of the way taped should really build anticipation for this season and ratings. The funny thing on the gay for pay thing to me is that some adamantly act as if sexuality is a matter of choice but then reject any notion that people can choose the be one and then the other and back again if their premise is correct. Some people seem to have entered the business out of financial desperation moreso than a lifestyle decision. I think it just means this guy is going to be totally uninhibited and make for some good RW moments. The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency last season had a gay adult movie alum on it though I am not sure any of the cast knew, but it was not that big a thing. He was actually more interesting because of his being a deaf model. Simon Rex was supported by MTV when his past came out.

He might be supported by MTV, but after the whole Dunbar thing, I doubt the same can be said for all the RW alumni:

I love this. I can't wait to see how the cast members take the whole gay-for-pay story. I saw an episode of The Tyra Show where she had 2 gay-for-pay actors and the crowd was not "open- minded" to the whole thing, so I'm wondering the cast might have the same opinions and reactions. All this media attention is really going to revamp the shows intrest and maybe the casting ? One of the guys from that Tyra show was on an episode of True Life once. Some people in his family did not take it well when they found out he was not just an underwear model but I don't think anyone flew off the handle about it either. I hope it does come up during taping cause I'd like to hear his side of it.

I don't think anyone is being derogatory or cares what his sexual preferance is. Especially during the wake of gay bullying, no one is bashing him. He is putting his life on display making it fair game for people to have opinions about him. No one cares if he's straight, gay, bi, whatever, they are just saying how they feel about "Gay for Pay". I honestly don't believe in gay for pay. I think it's a cop out for saying I'm bi or gay, but that's just me and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I have no idea who you are referring to when you say "you guys" and after rereading the thread I have found no derogatory comments. I think at first most people were confused because he has done gay pornography, yet is in a heterosexual relationship.

I guess that was straight sex since her name was Charice :) I couldn't care less whether he is gay, bi, straight, asexual, a virgin, or transgendered. I just like the idea of him being seemingly uninhibited and it seems like it would be an interesting story to hear if he tells it. One of my criticisms of recent seasons has been that the cast members seem to be too obsessed with their image and reality-star careers while still in production.
BTW, I think very few p-stars use their real names regardless of what their gender or genre. I think the makers do it so the person has a sexy or strong name since Mable and Rufus may not add to the titillation.
