Good for her!! I am glad she is doing well.
Wow! Congrats to Matt but I'm kinda surprised he has kids. I don't know why they did it, but it seemed due to editing that he was kinda a loner at the Awards Bash. He didn't have a wife with him or anything and if the little girl is 2, she would have been born already right? Oh well, maybe it was Daddy's night out in Hollywood, haha
Syrus sent his congrats to Sean via twitter...looks like Sean Duffy is going to be a member of congress now..thats great for him and his family!!!
There's a long way to go, but he is currently leading with 30% of the votes in so it's not officially his yet.
With 75% of precincts reporting, Sean has now officially been projected as the winner of District 7 (his is the northwest district, in red):

From EW.com:
'The Real World' breeds new Congressman
by Jennifer Armstrong
Categories: News, Politics as Entertainment, Reality TV
Looking back, we should’ve seen it coming. The Real World does, after all, teach its inhabitants/test subjects/”stars” how to spar with folks who are their ideological opposites. It teaches them how to bridge the gaps among diverse peoples. It teaches them to make out with people they shouldn’t in a very public way and then act shocked when the public is interested in their personal business. This should be the perfect breeding ground for politicians!
And, yes, it has happened: The Real World: Boston‘s Sean Duffy won a House seat yesterday in his home state of Wisconsin. The token conservative in the house (not to be confused with the House) back in 1997, Duffy was one of the many Republicans who picked up seats in the midterms. It only figures, since he spent his Real World season clashing with liberal roommates and learning about race relations from the two black cast members. (Fun fact: Duffy’s wife, Real World: San Francisco alum Rachel Campos, was in the running for The View seat that ultimately went to Elisabeth Hasselbeck.) In fact, why haven’t we seen more Real World-ers taking office? Could Trishelle be far behind?

The Real World answer to your question is that in most cases ( Trishelle ) their RW resumes follows them for life.
There is a huge difference between Trishelle and Sean.
It's true the show follows you for the rest of your life, would you want Trishelle to make any type of decisions? Besides possibly a speedo wearing contest? I think not.
Pre 2000 Real World's didn't have such colorful and camera seeking people.

But they have to take the bad with the good. So many of these cast members exploit that part of their career for financial gain and then lament when they become known for having been on the show after the VIP treatment goes away and the easy-money dries up. That, and a writer will put that sort of language in a story just to help the reader know who they are talking about--- "Former Real Worlder Missy X...." will get people to read the story whether or not people know who Missy X is. I laugh when reality stars lament being known as reality stars. It isn't like any story about Al Gore doesn't have the phrase, "Former Vice-President" in it. It is just a writing tool.
I don't think the writer of that article was being serious when she asked about Trishelle, but I really liked how old-school that question was...
Yeah...I'm sure it was a facetious comment. Honestly, when I originally read the headline, I thought it was Powell.

Yup, all too true... We really do have a shallow culture in many respects.
Trishelle should be better known now for her poker skills, but that would require a "journalist" who knows TV to expand her horizons and do some (just a little) research.

Yeah didn't Trishelle do some Poker Tournament a while back?

She is in tournaments all the time. She is in Vegas this week for a tournament, perhaps arriving tonight or tomorrow.
You can check out her poker cred online starting with Trishelle Cannatella | Absolute Poker
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Syrus and Sean on the same Real World season?
They had one of the best/closest RW friendships, IMO. I'm happy for Sean winning. Boston is one of my favorite seasons, so it's extra nice to hear about him doing well.
And that's a great story about Matt.
I was tweeting with Syrus last night. He said he's ready for another challenge and I tweeted to him that I would also love to see Montana and Elka again.... He replied. Guess whose pregnant everyone? Montana!
I don't agree with Sean politically at all but congrats to him (I guess)...
Anyone know what Karamo is up to? It seems like he shut his twitter account down.
I noticed Karamo shut his twitter down, too. I was sad to see that. He replied to me when I asked him a question, and he followed me. He had a Facebook account, last I saw (maybe a month ago).
Wow, Montana a mom?! Good for her! I really need to watch Boston again.
Wha tabout Donnell? I know he was hated but I found him kind of likeable. Like if you've ever seen Mean Creek that fat kid from him, you really felt for him and was happy when he was getting along wtih people.

Someone on Youtube said he owns/runs a couple of storage facility companies.
I wrote a message to Belou on facebook asking if she would be up for anymore challenges and she responded saying "of course". She also said she's working on an album so "look out for her". The best part about the message was that it was followed a few days later with some guy from Europe writing to me telling me he was kick my *** for talking to his girl. He accused me of trying to win a date out of her or something crazy like that. Basically if he's dating Belou, they're pretty much insane together. Romantic, I say.

It'd be pretty cool if she came back, but I highly doubt they would ask. :( For one, she doesn't have a preexisting storyline so it'd just but out of left field like Jo was for Gauntlet 2.
I wonder if she still watches the show?
