So it safe to say now that we have an abundance of new fresh meat, that the only road rules guys we'll see again are Derrick, Dan, Derek, Abram, Mark, and maybe Darrell? I'm really anticipating Shane to come back, but according to him, that's MTV's fault, not his. Even people that brought drama I wish would come back- hello Danny (rr13)!! Major drama queen. I miss Timmy and Christian and wouldnt mind seeing Antoine again, lol.

How so?
How so?
When asked at the bar he works at in Chicago if he would do another challenge he said that MTV wants nothing to do with him. So it's not him that says no, its them. Which is a shame cuz I'll take him over Ryan, Davis, Tyler, or Derek (Cancun) ANYDAY.
Wow that sucks, I wonder what happened that maked MTV disown him.
He was probably just being dramatic and just meant that since they havent called him, they arent interested in him anymore. Or maybe he was just unbearable or diva-ish on Road Rules Viewer's Revenge, that was the last time we saw him. I could believe that since it seemed like Veronica was a bit of one on that season.

Yeah sucks Timmy is one of the few true retired guys on these, especially due to injury he always brought his A-game and was great in confessionals. Theo is another that sucks wont ever come back. Antoine seemed like one you would see a lot in Challenges after how he performed and got along with everyone on BoTSexes but sadly another one that bit the dust.

I'm sure Timmy is fine these days. His knees are probably just sensative. I have really bad knee problems from an injury in high school but I'm fine as long as im not like crawling on them. Do we even know for sure if Theo is done? He hasn't been back but maybe they just haven't asked him. We all know that despite people being veterans and interesting, doesn't mean MTV wants them back. Idiots.
Timmy has a legit limp from the Inferno 3 injury according some on here, its mentioned in the Where are they now thread? as for Theo an interview was posted..I believe in that same thread where he said he was done.
I feel like if I was some sort of production company that produces shows, the first thing I would do is see what the people watching want. I feel like this show just doesn't do that. It's like they do the opposite. We are tired of the same old people and they just keep giving us them over and over again. Do our opinions matter in anyway? And yes I know that some people have moved on and have gone on with their lives but we have heard from numerous cast members who want to do challenges but haven't been asked. I mean what was so special about Ryan that they asked him back for Gauntlet 3? Your telling me that out of all the available rookies, he was the only one available? And they bring back Vinny from Fresh Meat 2 for Cutthroat? Really? I mean i didn't see anything interesting in him socially, physically, socially, and entertainment wise. I was actually more annoyed of his presence. I just feel that this company and MTV both have to make something work because with the cast these days, the show won't last longer I feel.
That's because not everyone agrees with your opinion..for ever Vinny there is Derrick/Abram/Katie/Brad/Tori and some awesome cast members, not every challenge will be perfect, and some have been epic fails, but judging a challenge before you've even seen it based on who is it, is kind of **** IMO. The inclusion of Vinny or other useless waste of space people compare Vinny with..who I detest, will not change why I watch and I imagine a lot of people feel the same way. In the end if you dont like it, dont watch.

I do watch because I do like the show. I do not watch a show because of one cast member. I am also excited about this season. Do I care for people like Vinny? Of course not. I am just stating my opinion just like the rest. I can also guarantee you that many feel the same way. My argument is more about who they don't cast rather than who they do. You can also try to make a good cast. Yea sometimes things don't work out as planned because maybe certain people are unavailable or are just not interested. But when you just ignore or not even try to get people who say they are interested, I mean thats a load of BS.

Question is, how do you or anyone of us know who they do attempt to contact or not? Once again unless we know the full facts is something we should judge or criticize. Who knows if they send an email or call to every single member? or just a select few? That process is quiet mysterious, we only sort of find out who does reply with a yes.

Obviously we do know that they don't contact everyone because we have learned from many cast members that they want to do challenges but are never asked in any sort of way.
I think they definitely have a process of who they cast. First they chose the format for the challenge, and then they probably make up a draft of who'd they would like to go on that challenge, and just work down that list until they have their cast set in stone.
Maybe to speculate a little but I do think BMP casts certain challenges to have prior challenge story lines cross over. When looking at challenges between Gauntlet 3 through Fresh Meat 2, there's certain storylines that occurred over multiple challenges.
Wes/Kenny/Johanna: A feud, love triangle, whatever you want to call it that spanned from the Island (maybe even Gauntlet 3) and came to somewhat of a conclusion on Fresh Meat 2. Between those challenges Kenny was on 3/4 of them, Johanna 2/4, and Wes 2/4. All three were absent from the Duel 2 (which seems pretty deliberate)
Rachel/Jenn's relationship: Started on the Island, crossed over into the Duel 2. They were both on two challenges back to back.
Evelyn/Kelly Anne vs JEK: A feud that starts back on the Island, rages on during the Ruins, and comes to a conclusion on Fresh Meat 2. Between those challenges Evelyn was on 3/4, Kelly Anne 2/4, Johnny was 2/4, Evan was 2/4, and Kenny was 3/4. This rivalry was absent from the Duel 2 where all those cast members were absent with the exception of Evan (feels somewhat deliberate again)
Paula/Dunbar: like Rachel and Jenn, they both had a pretty prominent story on the Island that continued on through the Duel 2. Dunbar also formed some sort of relationship with Kim on the Duel 2, and they both ended up on the Ruins together.
I heard that CT was approached about the Ruins as well, that was probably BMP trying to continue on the story of his rivalry with Adam King as there was both the G3 and Duel 2 incidents.
I think that's why a lot of people are excited for Cut Throat since for the first time in a long time, there's not a lot of hang over from the previous challenges going into this one. The only story I could predict would be Brooklyn vs Sarah just going off how Katelyn and Sarah interacted on Fresh Meat 2 and JD's comments about Sarah in that Daily.
Plus they probably have reasons why certain cast members arent re-casted.
Of course they have reasons not to re-cast certain people, just like they have reasons to cast people.
Depending on how big production wants the challenge to be (let's say it's a Gauntlet or Battle of the Sexes which has roughly 30-36 contestants) they contact a set amount of people (probably around 50 for BOTS, The Gauntlet and Cutthroat), see who is available and then make there final cut from there. The people who they didn't cast, but are available are used as replacements (i.e. Derrick on Inferno III, MJ and Nehemia on Duel II).
They also contact castmembers which straight out turn it down, or say they will do it and cancel a few weeks before.
I'm curious seeing as they didn't know they were doing the Island, Duel, and from what I can see episode 1 Fresh Meat 2..do they know going into Challenges which ones they are doing? or do they know some and don't know others?

They have an idea by seeing who is on the cast, but no, they don't know.
There are some exceptions though.
So if Im a cast member and I see Landon at the airport, then for sure its a sequel challenge lol
Not necessarily, since the cast never really knows what type of challenge they are doing, until they get there. The cast speculates, but never knows for sure. They also try to mix up the challenges, look at The Island, The Ruins and Cutthroat. Landon can be called thinking it is going to be a sequel to something and it could be a whole new format.
Just a random question, how do you guys think the Duel 2 would have been different had CT and Adam not been kicked off? Would Evan still have won, would Landon still have finished 4th, how would it alter the female results, etc.
CT would've been kicked off just a bit later, remember he had already had a fight with Issac before the Adam thing and Issac decided that CT should stay..CT was going through a lot of **** and his mind was honestly not in the right place on that Challenge. As for Adam he would've left in an elimination probably during the middle episodes..but it wouldn't have affected the top ranking IMO.
