That's kind of like the kids game entitled "Steal the Bacon" but with fighting/wrestling thrown in.
Thats exactly what I thought. I think they should incorporate some kids games, like Red Rover or Musicle Chairs. Inner Tube Tango, was a knock off of Musical chairs, but that mission was made up on the spot and they didn't really plan it out.

Ahhh that's what it was called! I played that game in elementary school but couldn't remember the name. I think that'd be fun to watch and fun for the cast to play. Could get pretty violent though...

That's what most people like to see when it comes to the challenge, or mainly what I like to see. At least a few more physical competitions would be nice.
Yeah you guys both hit the nail on the head with what I was thinking. The concept was really good, and I think they should have some kind of mission with somewhat the same concept.
Ex. Kenny's on one team and picks a red token and CT's on the other team and also picked a red token. When it's their turn TJ will ring the horn and the two will rush for the item, wrestle/dive/tackle/kill each other, first person to get the ball back over to his team's area wins the point for their team.
LOLLLLLLL, that just made me laugh. hahahhahaha

To be honest, I preferred missions like Inner Tube Tango over the hardcore missions they do now. It seemed like they had more fun, laid back missions in the older days.
*sigh*

Oh come on, what about the spelling bee from Duel 2? That was a highlight for me. We need at least one silly, game-show type mission in each Challenge.

One mission out of like what, fifteen? The older days had about half INTENSE physical missions and the other half were fun and laid back.
TJ Lavin is a guest on Bill Simmons' podcast on ESPN.com today. I'm listening right now. He's actually pretty funny on it and definitely enjoyed himself. Some highlights, sorry everyone if this is long but I found a lot of things very interesting and figured I'd pass these along:
-TJ says he's trying to push for a rule that says if you instigate somebody into hitting you and they hit you, it's completely allowed and they don't go home. He said that he didn't want to kick Darrell off the Ruins for hitting Brad, since in his mind, Brad was asking for it.
-They also talk about how Challenge houses should have one padded room where if two people have a beef, they go in there and fight for a little bit and then it's over and they're friends.
-According to TJ, they wouldn't have a show if they tested for performance enhancing drugs. Pretty sure he was joking, though.
-TJ says it ****** him off when people throw the same people in elimination rounds repeatedly and "hide behind each other". He refers to "collusion" being "definitely a big problem with the Challenges".
-TJ accidentally referred to Evelyn as "trying to be the alpha-male", which made him crack up at himself.
-TJ corroborates someone (I believe Insider)'s previous claim that Kenny is in the shipping industry, he says that Kenny works on a dock when he's not on the shows. He also says that Kenny is pretty much the only castmember he talks to outside of the show.
-I believe I heard at one point that TJ said he doesn't drink.
-They had a good laugh about the spelling bee challenge, and TJ even said that maybe there should be a math test challenge.
-TJ says he doesn't watch The Real World, because it's more fun for him to not know about the new competitors when they come on. He says he doesn't know anything about them, if they're straight/gay, fighter/not a fighter, etc.
-He refers to CT's upcoming appearance on Cutthroat as "next level" and "one of the most all-time greatest things" that we'll ever see on a Challenge. Man that has me even more stoked to see what's going on with that.
-TJ's personal top Challenge moments:
1) Getting into it with Syrus on Gauntlet 2.
2) CT freaking out after The Duel DQ to Brad, said he was afraid CT was going to hit him.
3) Says it involves Katie and "coming up short" on the upcoming Cutthroat and the black eye we've seen in the trailers.
-There is a rule in place saying TJ can't hook up with the contestants.
-Apparently TJ gets something called a "morning after report" telling him what happened in the house the night before. Hookups, etc.
The link if anyone wants to give it a listen:ESPN Radio
That morning report thing sounds cool lol. I do like and agree with a lot of the things he said, especially the fighting and throwing the same people into eliminations all the time.
Missions in these previous seasons haven't been hilarous like missions in the BOTS installments.
Really, now it is base off strength... which I believe is a little to harsh that they cant bring some funny moments from the earlier seasons.
Only a couple missions like Captain's Chair and Spelling Air.
I love how ESPN says the challenges should be a sport.

the bobble head bumper cars one, from that same challenge was laid back.

best quote from this interview was from Dave Jacoby: "Do you guys wheel out CT like Hannibal Lecter on this Challenge?" made me truly lol
[strike]haha this is awesome i just read some of tj lavins tweets and i like how bill simmons and his co-host reference tjs signature line "you killed it"[/strike]

I actually like TJ after the interview cause I always thought he didn't like doing the show, but from the interview it seems he truly enjoys it, and I agree, seeing those morning afters must be awesome.

For me, it seemed like T.J was always into the challenges and showed a lot of contribution. The only time he is fustrated is when someone quits,
because he wants to see something exciting that will entertain him. Like times he was ****** was in these moments:
Cameran on the Gauntlet 2 quitting
Beth on the Gauntlet 2 quitting
Ashlee on the Island not necassarily quitting
Really.. if he wasn't into the show. Then he wouldn't host 10 seasons in a row (Gauntlet 2 - present/Cutthroat)
He just seemed bored to me at times, glad I was wrong. Also liked that he finally said why Mossley and Mirra never came back.
Why didn't they come back? Can you tell us.
According to TJ, he said they would usually get really drunk the night before they had their scenes, and would flub lines or completely forget them. TJ apparently doesnt have that problem so thats why they stuck with him.

You'd be surprised how many of the guys on these challenges are on some sort of gear.
Off the top of my head I could see...Wes, Evan, Danny and Dunbar (maybe Miz back in the day) because they sure look bigger than in their original seasons, **** Wes blew up a lot from Duel to Ruins, and Evan from Duel to Gauntlet.
I think without a question that the challenge is like the 5th sport of the country,it has everything. Bill simmons is hilarious and I love that he talks about the challenges. The best podcast would be probably with evan and kenny just for humor. And without a question TJ Lavin did kill it.
I was so giddy with excitement for that podcast as I am a regular listener and reader of Bill Simmons and always watch the Challenge. I have to say that exceeded my expectations and can't wait for Cutthroat. CT!!!!!!!!!!!
On a somewhat related note, I'm trying to compile a list of everyone who has been thrown off the show for fighting or any other reason and how many times for my blog. I know CT has been tossed at least twice for fighting, maybe more. If people can help out, much appreciated.
So in other words some of these guys are taking steroids.

Kinda dissapointing if you ask me.
It's pretty obvious if you ask me.

Wes also blew up big time from Fresh Meat to The Duel and there was only like a few months from the end of Fresh Meat to The Duel, that was real obvious that Wes was taking performance enhancers to me.
He still looked rather small compared to the ruins when he looked like a tank, CT is another one that on Duel 2 he looked way bigger than usual.
ROFL !! Didn't Kenny call Dunbar something that had to do with roids ? It was on one of the Ruins dailies, I believe. I remember they were arguing after a challenge and Kenny called Dunbar a name like "Roid raging punk" or something like that. It was hilarious, because when Kenny said that Dunbar shut up real quick.
