I'm kinda leaning toward Emilee being a captain. Sarah's first 2 female picks would be Laurel and Cara Maria. Camilla's first 2 female picks would be Tori and Melinda/Paula. Emilee's first 2 picks would be Emily and Jenn.
If Emily is a captain, their female picks just don't make sense to me. That would mean her first 2 picks would be Jenn and Theresa. Maybe I'm under-estimating Jenn, but even if I were to pick 3rd and Tori and Laurel were already gone, I would still pick Cara Maria over Jenn.
I'm not trying to downgrade your spoliers, in any way, Molds. But I have a question:
In the 2nd promo it has a part where it says "Sleeping with the enemy". It shows Dan and Shevaun together and Chet and Mandi together! Does "enemy " refer to something else? Maybe a personal vendetta between two challengers and there is a division among the cast? I can't figure this one out. Anyone can answer or offer ideas!

I don't think it has a deeper meaning. It's just part of the tagline for the commercial. All the statements are about "enemies"--fight with your enemies, sleep with your enemy, make new enemies. It wouldn't have the same ring if they took out "enemies" and substituted so it went something like, "Sleep with other competitors."
Not everything is so literal.

Hahaha, oh god it does seem like thats what I'm doing! But this is much more satisfying. When I eve nattempt to do sudoku i just get really frustrated and quit when I get stuck, but with this I just look for new holes and clues to try and solve the puzzle. Not only have I been doing the captain-decoding for the satisfaction of everybody knowing the captains, but it's been fun going back through the clues given and spoilers and I've been enjoying it. But I have class in the morning so I'll resume the puzzle again tomorrow afternoon.
People, please feel free to help along...and Molds, feel free to open up some new paths for us:biggrin:

Just seeing one of the previews again on MTV, and seeing Sarah yell "I'm tired of losing with you on my team!" I can't help but keep thinking she is the gray team's captain. But thinking more into it, it probably wouldn't make her teammates very happy for her to refer to it as "her" team, so I'm not too sure...

I was thinking that also, but I also think it would sound weirder if she said "our team." When you're yelling at someone in a spur of the moment situation, even if I wasn't a team captain I'd probably say "my team" too if that was the statement i was making. Now, if it was something more like "you're going to make us lose again," then "us/our" is more likely.
This is also an instance when I read too much into a situation. :D
Why does Abram look so rough? He looked like he had a toupee when he was screaming that he's gonna kick everyones ***? And I wonder if any of the vets even had to go in the eliminations... I mean I'd love for Abram, Derrick, or Brad to go in there and send some people home instead of skating to the finals..
This is probably completely off, but I wonder if the people are asked to pair up guy/girl at the beginning of the first episode. Then they either randomly select 3 teams to be captains or have a competition to get the three sets of captains. Then, rather than selecting one person at a time, they select one "pair" at a time.
I just can't help but notice some of the people that are on the same team: Ty/Emily, Derek/Emilee, Katie/Eric, Paula/Dunbar, Brad/Tori, Sarah/Vinny.
I could just be looking into things WAY too much, but I'm sure Brad and Tori would only agree to go on the show knowing they'd be on the same team. I can't imagine them going into it with the possibility that they'd have to compete against each other.

I doubt TJ randomly just goes, "oh... hey, why don't uh... why don't Tyler and Camila be captains?"
I doubt the guys and girls are selected in predetermined pairs. Maybe they're picked at the same time, but not in the sense that if you pick Paula, you have to pick Dunbar as well.
And in terms of Brad and Tori, I think the rest of the cast/captains were very respectful to them. They wouldn't try to put a husband and wife against one another. I mean, some people might, but I'd like to think that they're nice enough not to.
I don't think Brad and Tori being on different teams would have been so bad. It does double their chances to bring home some cash. Yes, being on the same team means they can work together and bring home double the money if they win but I think increasing your chance to win is a big plus.

That would be genious! But, since they're on the same team...when their team loses...they could both go home. They should divide and conquer! lol. Yeah I definitely get that, but I don't think they want to be on separate teams. Like Brad said during the Ruins reunion, he wouldn't do another challenge unless Tori was there because "that girl is more of a rock than she knows" or something like that. I think they would want to be on the same team because they would keep each other sane (or... as sane as one can possibly be on one of these).
I'd think the other players wouldn't want them on other teams either so there wasn't "shady business" going on.

Well in Gauntlet 2 the Captains were chosen by a small challenge, I know this is a different format, but I don't think they would just randomly assign them.

Haha, yeah I know. Mine was a much more exaggerated form of your idea.
Derrick posted sth on his twitter about "...cheers to the champions". Maybe blue win ??? I would be surprised if blue did because Derrick is the only guys left plus Jen and Emily. While grey seems quite stronger (yes, I know Molds said they didn't win) and red still seems to have more advantages than blue. But once again, just a speculation. We're still not sure how Tina and CT will be involved.
Ps: I'm still really confused about Laurel and Paula "switched" places as who's in the final. Would anyone know better explain to me a little bit more :D plzzzzzzzz
I saw the "Cheers to the champions thing". I also saw on twitter that over the last couple of weeks, Emily has posted some things like "picking up my motorcycle" (although she could have had this before the show) and that she got an Xterra...but who knows

As I read that description I was thinking, "huh, this sounds like something Molds said to me a week or so ago." You know, when we were discussing the logo and then you just said ever so slyly "yeah, or the challenge has a war like theme."
I just brushed it off as one of your awesome Molds responses. Now I'm reading this and I'm thinking - SHE FREAKING TOLD ME THIS ALREADY.
So thank you for proving to me that however much I like to think that I'm good at reading between the lines, there's always more to learn.
Having said that, I'm really looking forward to the Soviet "Gulag" elimination. I'm a history major and taken many classes on Post-WWII Europe and a topic course on Russian History from 1900 to the present.
It also makes me think of potential sequels for Cutthroat and where it could possibly be held. However, I'll wait to discuss that on a future thread.
