I just wasn't paying attention - guess I read as the past 4 :)
That's what I was thinking. Maybe I read the post wrong...lol :)
Do you think the tone for each Real World is set based on where the location is? Like DC was kind of boring...Washington DC kind of sucked...New Orleans I'm really liking, but I can't tell if it's because I really want to go there and party and be in the thick of it, or if the location brings a certain attitude out of the cast. But it just seems fun, and I'm liking it so far.
My personal opinion on the matter would be that they picked people they thought were going to argue over politics and other stuff DC, but the people didn't really mesh well. Like Josh never really hung out with any of them and Erica just wanted to leave the whole time. I just think the people are what makes the show and the DC cast wasn't very well picked and didn't mesh well as a group.
Out of Cancun, DC, and NOLA: Emilee, Ayiiia, Jemmye, Ashlee, Preston, Ryan, Joey, and Ty would probably make the most dramatic season ever... Hmm let's throw them in new location too... any suggestions? Hah!
As for new location, I would say Venice, Tokyo, Rome, Portland, Atlanta, Toronto or Kingston
As for new location, I would say Venice, Tokyo, Rome, Portland, Atlanta, Toronto or Kingston
Yes, I am all for a Tokyo season!! It's the one greatest place that they've yet to reside in for 3+ months. A Real World: Tokyo would be incredible!! RW: Kingston sounds pretty great as well! ----------------------------
15 Best Casting Decisions since Season 15 (So Austin-Now)
For various reasons: 01. Paula (Key West) 02. Svetlana (Key West) 03. Brooke (Denver) 04. Davis (Denver) 05. Isaac (Sydney) 06. Brianna (Hollywood) 07. Joey (Hollywood) 08. Katelynn (Brooklyn) 09. Ryan (Brooklyn) 10. Ayiiia (Cancun) 11. Joey (Cancun) 12. Mike (DC) 13. Jemmye (New Orleans 2) 14. Knight (New Orleans 2) 15. Presto (New Orleans 2) ---------------------------- Now as for the recent RW roomies I'd love to see get put on a season together, I'm going to have to go with: 1. Ayiia 2. Joey 3. Katelynn 4. Ryan (New Orleans 2) 5. That one d-bag (Hollywood) 6. Isaac 7. Svetlana or Paula 8. Ashley (DC) I'd imagine tons of drama, drama, drama in that house!! haha :D
Put New Orleans 2 next to Ryan just so people don't get confused. A Tokyo season would be good but it may be too confusing to fans.
Put New Orleans 2 next to Ryan just so people don't get confused.
Got it. Thanks, mate :)
A Tokyo season would be good but it may be too confusing to fans.
Just wondering, but how so?
Put New Orleans 2 next to Ryan just so people don't get confused.
Well, New Orleans wasn't a recent season (and T did specify "recent roomies") and there was no Ryan on the original NOLA season...so I don't really see how people would get confused.
A Tokyo season would be good but it may be too confusing to fans.
Why would Tokyo be confusing?

LOL ilu guys sometimes :p
Tokyo season would be amazing. I really think they should do that. Any country of Asian decent would be very cool, different. I guess vevmo gives free grammar lessons with membership... And also... what about Real World: Miami?? That would be a season I would want to be a part of.

I don't see an Asian season ever happening, really. The language barrier is just too strong...even if it's in Tokyo. Amsterdam needs to happen...maybe the Bahamas (though I think College Hill from BET had a season down there...and I think BET/MTV are sister networks). I would say somewhere in South America, but again language barrier. But does anyone know how much cast members get paid? Is it per episode?

Or do you mean a Back to Miami? I could get on board with that. Especially since season 25 would be the twentieth anniversary of the first Miami season. I'm guessing they already picked the location for that season anyway though. However, I wouldn't want that for a few more seasons since we just recently had Cancun which is pretty similar. I'm still holding out for Back to Chicago myself.
No more Back To seasons
Although they probably wouldn't call it "Back to" wherever because they failed to do it this year with New Orleans. I wish they would have though.
Lots of people wanted Season 25 to be in San Fran...which it obviously is not. Today, the ruling just came out overturning the Prop 8 ban on gay marriage in California. San Fran was the epicenter of the Prop 8 trial and is district where the trial occured. If Real World were filming in San Fran for Season 25....the cast would be out on the streets in the Castro celebrating right now. What other opportunities has BMP missed by selecting locations not looking into current events? Should locations be picked to highlight current events and issues? And how can BMP do a better job selecting places to film? Just curious if anyone has any constructive advice...
So the location of season 25 is still not known?
Do you guys think they should allow the Real Worlders to get physical eachother? It would almost guarantee a ratings boost, and it would help it compete with Jersey Shore. Could you image what Ryan would have done to Preston if they allowed him to actually punch Preston? Or what Knight would/could of done to Ryan when they were fighting.
I don't see an Asian season ever happening, really. The language barrier is just too strong...even if it's in Tokyo.
Hong Kong, Singapore and even Kuala Lumpur have a very high percentage of people who speak English. Those are the only Asian places I can see working. Hong Kong would be epic, and for a place in China the laws are pretty lax.
I'll do 15 best casting choices 1. Ryan [NOLA] 2. Ryan [BK] 3. Parisa [SYD] 4. Brianna [HLWD] 5. Ayiiia [CANCUN] 6. Joey [CANCUN] 7. Chet [BK] 8. Cohutta [BK] 9. Kim [HLWD] 10. Knight [NOLA] 11. JD [BK] 12. Dunbar [SYD] 13. Trisha [SYD] 14. Jemmye [NOLA] 15. Greg [HLWD]

I also think that the no violence rule is a better ratings boost because I know I'd rather watch an episode where the cast has to make a decision of whether or not to keep the person or boot them than watch an episode of somebody hitting a roommate and facing no consequences. I actually kind of think that'd be boring. It's much more interesting to me that if you hit somebody you have the potential of getting kicked off than just... nothing happening at all.
Nobody like the idea of Hong Kong then?
What other opportunities has BMP missed by selecting locations not looking into current events? The wrapped up Cancun right before it happened and the oil spill New Orleans i think finished filming before it as well.
The swine flu. You can't expect a filming company to extend filming further than necessary just to capture their reactions to a story.
I guess the biggest missed opportunity was filming Back to New York and season to early. To of actually been in New York at the time of 9/11 and watch the cast deal with the aftermath would of been extremely inspirational.
I don't think you guys are understanding CannotTellU's point. BMP had no idea that swine flu, or the oil spill, or 9/11 was going to happen. They aren't missed opportunities. Missed opportunities would be not going to SF while the whole Prop 8 thing is being repealed, or Phoenix while they have their racial profiling going on.
Just wondering, has there ever been a Buddhist on the show?

Maybe they are trying to get that location..
Just wondering, has there ever been a Buddhist on the show?
I think Jamie from San Diego was raised a buddhist, but I'm not sure...
CannotTellU is referring to them picking locations while events are going on, not after they left. There are going to be things that happen that BMP can’t predict, but there are a lot of things that BMP can predict that they clearly don’t take advantage of. For example – going to Vancouver to film while the Olympics are going, being in DC for an election, filming in Arizona during the immigration debate, or be in Houston to deal this the obesity epidemic (Houston normally ranks near the top of list in terms of “fattest cities”). I would love to see the show integrate cast more into their surroundings. Like how interesting it would be to put a house together around the illegal immigration issue. Or to put someone who is very much overweight in a house full of people like the Hawaii cast who were always without clothing. Or to film in Germany during the Love Parade with a housemates that are very free spirits mixed with abstinence-only supporters. I mean – that’s what I’d like to see more of. Actually, thinking about it...Germany would be the perfect place for the abstinence-only and goth people that they were seeking for RW26. Especially since Berlin has a huge goth/underground club scene and the Love Parade. That might actually be interesting if they achieved that...but knowing BMP...they probably didn't...
