Which countries did they visit on SAS?
Semester at Sea was a great season; Cuba (Softball Game), Brazil (Trapeze Mission), South Africa (Staying w/ different South African families), Kenya (Wildlife Photography Mission), India (School Construction Volunteer Work/Painting with Elephants), Malaysia (Volunteers at a Zoo), Vietnam (Day-In-A-Life of Vietnamese worker Race/Spending 1 million ****), China (Chinese Theatre Show/Dragon Boat Race), Japan (Voicework for Japanese Anime cartoon/Snow-Skiing face-off/Hair Salon Mission), then back to USA (Seattle). In that order.
Ah. The days when the missions were fun and not all about athleticism.

Word. Old school Road Rules knew how to CREATE drama, not set it up. With the right kind of personalities and the right situation, you're going to get some QUALITY reality tv drama... Semester at Sea was a perfect example of that- c'mon, who causes major drama when your mission is to spend $1,000,000 in Vietnam? Only the cast of Semester at Sea. Classic.
I think the cast was good in the sense that they were all intelligent but still dramatic. I feel the people they get on the show today are only dramatic cause they're idiots and don't know how to express themselves in any other way. I always kinda thought there was a difference between drama that wasnt necessarily trashy. I mean anything on VH1 is trashy but RW & RR has always had arguments but they werent trashy. Veronica and Ayanna arguing over a copied term paper? When will we ever see something like that again? Lol
If anyone wants to rewatch Semester at Sea, someone uploaded the full season to Youtube. I must say, I've never seen Road Rules before I watched it and I loved it! I wish Road Rules was still around.
It would [strike]of[/strike] have been really cool if the BMP reunited Timmy and Christian(RR2) on a challenge. They were so funny together.......could [strike]of[/strike] have happened on the Inferno if they casted twelve castmembers on each team as opposed to ten.
Dude, ***** that. I want the Abram from South Pacific and Viewer's Revenge where he is just out for blood, the Bad *** Abram, after all he was on the Bad *** team. On the Island, he seemed more of a Good Guy. It works for some people like Brad, when Brad tries to be all Bad *** and crazy, you can't take him seriously (like on the Ruins and Inferno II), but when Abram gets mad, bro, watch the ***** out.

Much better than the Abe who had anger problems and made racist comments.
Are you serious? You don't like when he used racist comments, I'm pretty sure he was the bigger man and said, "Sorry I shouldn't have said that" afterwards. Then he kicked the **** out of Donnell because that guy was ***** and talked a bunch of ****. He got everything that was deserved of him. Abram needs to be the bad *** mother****er from his first challenges and his Road Rules seasons.

Or how he talked about inter racial dating being un-natural. Im sure Abe will compete hard and with fire. But I think the seasons have shown he is different now. Unlike CT- Abe has matured over the years, just like how he dated (or whatever it was ) Coral. If you expect him to be an immature 19 year old again, you may not like what you get. So no, I do not expect to see the Abe act the same way he did when he was 19 or 21. Of course, only time will time. Will be interesting to see how he acts and who is on his team. Would be really interesting to see him and Johnny on the same team. Derrick and Brad and both followers.
I like the mellow Abe. Much better than the Abe who had anger problems and made racist comments.
I agree. Mellow Abe is the best.
I like mellow Abe too, he's much laidback and friendlier. Whenever he was angry Abe, I used to want him out. I hope he wins this one.
Yeah well Donnell said some pretty racist and messed up comments too .
According to who? I never heard this before.
According to who? I never heard this before.
Teasing Abram questioning his sexuality ( "Don't call me Abe , call me Amanda") and saying something messed up (can't remember exactly what but it wasn't cool) about where Abram was from. There were a few different occasions.
Oh ok. See I vaguely remember the in jokes but I haven't seen South Pacific in years.
Oh ok. See I vaguely remember the in jokes but I haven't seen South Pacific in years.
They were messed up jokes. One was where Abram didn't feel comfortable stripping in a club or dancing or something like that for a mission and of course Donnell started in on Abram questioning his sexuality and teasing him. Basically trying his best to get a rise out of Abram. Now what Abram said and done on that Season was messed up and he shouldn't of said anything like that and I'm not taking up for Abram when it comes to that. But Donnell wasn't a little saint like some seem to think.
Yeah that mission was kinda effed up though from the get go. I rather do what the Extreme cast did with getting naked and being painted on over stripping in a strip joint.

I don't know if I could handle that haha.

I want BMP/MTV to give this show 1 last chance. New cast, new adventure, new drama! It will never happen that's what so sad :-(.

LAME ATTEMPT at bringing an awesome show back.

LAME ATTEMPT at bringing an awesome show back.
The only thing they brought back was the name. It was 100% a different show from it's original concept. Road Rules was never meant to be a game show or a competition, and Viewers Revenge was entirely that. Granted so was Season 9-13 but there was still some sense of adventure, whereas Viewers Revenge was all competition within each other.

It will be awesome if they can do one in South Africa or Japan! Somewhere with a whole different environment.

Anyone in Paris? Those lucky frenchmen get a daily dose of Road Rules reruns on the channel Game ONE GAME ONE les émissions et séries - road rules It started at the beginning of this month, I'm assuming they are on Campus Crawl now based on the picture.

I remember at the time it feeling like the show changed because of the popularity of Survivor and BMP wanting to sort of capitalize on the concept of voting out 'roadies' :/ It would def. be nice if Jonathan and co. over at BMP could try to bring back Road Rules and have it stay true to the original concept of the series where you have 6 'roommates' travel around in an RV and attempt to win challenges like those in the '...Challenges' shows for cash and prizes. I think it could still work and be fun if they wanted it to :)
If I could find a stream of them anywhere it would be easy to record them and upload them. Problem is I haven't been able to find streams for anything Road Rules pre Viewers Revenge. Honestly I'd love to get my hands on RR 1-13, Real World 13,14, 15 and the first four Challenges. I've checked amazon and iTunes. I guess the next step is ebay, craigslist and kijiji
