People say Kenny would've done the same thing but I really doubt Kenny would've thrown either Evan or Derrick under the bus like Wes did Danny.
Oh I know he would never throw Evan under the best, but anyone else is fair game IMO.
People say Kenny would've done the same thing but I really doubt Kenny would've thrown either Evan or Derrick under the bus like Wes did Danny.
Kenny would never throw Johnny or Evan under the bus. Derrick is a question mark.
Wes would never throw KellyAnne or Evelyn under the bus.
Evelyn would never throw KellyAnne or Wes under the bus.
They all have their specific people they would never betray...and they all have people they've screwed over. Kenny is NO BETTER than Wes when it comes to scheming. Out of the 3, Evelyn is the only one I like.
That was a good episode! I REALLY love Landon and Carley now, and I hope they win!
And Laurel is sooo annoying...she was like, "WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK I'M COCKY?!" Maybe cause...you are? And then she talked to Carley, then she was like "I'M JUST GOING TO GO UP TO MY ROOM AND ACT BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE". Laurel, the reason no one likes you is BECAUSE you hang out in your room and you don't socialize.
I loved Ev and Wes talking about Theresa as if she wasn't there, and she was like sitting in between them. lol. Wes and Theresa are both idiots (I have to consider Theresa the lesser of the two evils though).
Mandi: "Our strategy is to memorize the puzzle so we don't have to swim back."
*claps* MANDI, YOU'RE A GENIUS!!!!!
Mandi definitely got gypped on that exile! I wanted Ev and Luke to win but she proved she's a strong (well, maybe lukewarm) competitor in her own right. Wes annoyed me from start to finish, ughh.
And I agree with a lot of posters that Kenny needs to stop calling them evil! Umm, Kenny, Wes & Evelyn this challenge = JEK other challenges. For me, at least, it seems the only time Kenny has talked the entire season is badmouthing the opposite alliance. I mean, he can back it up by winning a bunch of missions, but still...stop talking.
I don't know why but this episode made me love Carley a whole lot more, for some reason! She was always kind of "there" for me in past episodes, I liked her cause she was Landon's partner, but this episode, she proved herself as a competitor and I really like her.
i really feel that this season, the Dailies clips really add a lot to the episodes.. for example for this ep, there are complementary clips showing that before the Airheads challenge Kenny and Landon met and agreed that if either of them were deciding who was going in, the first option was without doubt Wes.. so that was set before Landon won. Plus there is another clip showing that before the Exile Wes and Ev were talking, and Wes seemed already defeated, specially when he mentions that he went for a run a realized he wasnt in conditions for the exile.. (which explains why he had been avoiding them at all cost)..
also, the clips showing the guys discussing straight people attraction to their same *** (including Laurel's attraction to Ev) and oral ***, really make it feel like an ep from the Real World.. :)

So him throwing Danny under the bus was okay? He's known Danny longer than Ev and KA.

One of the reasons why I've lost respect for Wes this challenge. But I still don't think "scheming wise" Kenny is any less guilty. Hence why Evelyn is really the only one I like out of the 3.

The only person Kenny screwed was Darrell, and he was honest enough to admit why. Can't hold that against him. Evelyn has been and always will be my favorite, but there were mistakes made with her/Wes which cost them their stronghold in the game. sparing the turncoat Ryan and getting rid of Danny, then setting up Landon vs CJ the following exile was a means to self destruction, esp since Landon was there best bet to win a challenge.
If I was Landon, I would have reacted the same. They threw that kid under the bus. He is unbeatable imo in an exile setting and he was there best chance to actually win challenges. Had Ev/Wes just let the voting take it's course over the past few challenges, Landon would have voted differently and perhaps Danny and CJ may still be there as opposed to Jenn and Ryan.
As for Laurel, I concur with her sentiments. I actually like her alot now. It's a game. There is no reward for being social, and she has been upfront about her competitive streak and clearly she is there to WIN. She has not done anything to belittle anyone. She just wants to win, just like Ev does. She deserves a break.
In closing, I will say I was very impressed with Mandi in the exile, and although I had doubted her in the past, she held her own. As for Jenn/Ryan, I hope they are thrown under the bus because these 2 teams have done absolutely nothing, and yet have managed to play both sides (smart) to get by.
Wes won the Duel and got third in FM1, Ev won both Inferno 3 and the Island. I know Wes got 135,000 between those two. Ev got 75,000 for the Island, not sure what she got for Inferno 3 but it's probably safe to say their winnings are pretty equal.
However, you do make a great point about Jenn/Noor and Ryan/Theresa. At this point, you HAVE to be thinking about who will be easier to beat in the final challenge. An egregious oversight on their part which they better hope does not come back to bite them in the ***.
For all the so called tough talk, the problem with Jenn is that she is a follower, not a leader. Ditto for Ryan. They have accepted there role as mediocre support player and will just be at best buffer for stronger mental players. Alot of people bash players like Nehemiah and Davis....... at least they think for themselves and do what's best for them although they are not the strongest of players.
I agree!! Ryan and Jenn have annoyed me a little this time around. Granted, they are playing smart, but **** they need to grow some! Take a stand! Fight for yourself! It's like they are accepting 3rd and 4th place right now behind Kenny and Jillian. At least Landon, Wes & Evelyn...well Landon and Evelyn since they actually go in and compete for their spots...have the guts to go after the stronger teams. I honestly can't believe we're coming up to Episode 8 and it really seems like Jenn has done absolutely nothing...and all Ryan has done is run his stupid mouth. Neither of them have done much competition-wise to prove why they deserve to not go into the exile yet.
In Episode 3 I thought I was really going to like Jenn this time around when the whole "mole" thing came up...but then it's like she never even had to do anything. All this talk about Ev and Wes throwing people under the bus...I'm surprised nobody mentions Jenn throwing THEM under the bus. She had a deal with them and broke it. She makes that blatantly clear in the episode when she says, "I feel bad because Evelyn is a friend and we had a deal. We shook on it. But I have to go with the numbers." It makes sense...but why hasn't her name been thrown around when talking about people throwing each other under the bus?
Best part of the episode: Wes & Ev laughing about sending home Darrel, Sarah & Paula. I can't believe they let things slip thru their fingers & let a complete moron like Kenny take over the game AGAIN. Please let Landon or Jillian win this whole thing. And may we never have to see Frankenstein (laurel) ever again.
You can call Kenny a moron all you want but Wes and Ev have made even more worse decisions then Kenny and that spells out M-O-R-O-N to me. Sure Kenny isn't the smartest person, but he has proven to be superior then Ev and Wes, as far as FM2 goes.
I wouldn't call Kenny, Wes, or Evelyn a moron. Kenny has played these challenges smart since his first one. The only difference is that up until now he has been on the sidelines letting people like Evan or Johnny do the talking for him. I think on this challenge he has proved that he knows how to play this game extremely well and is perfectly capable of keeping himself alive without needing Evan protecting him. Wes and Evelyn have both also know how to play the game very well. On this challenge I feel like they made too many deals with too many people and that's what backfired on them.
I think it's safe to say that Wes, Evelyn, and Kenny are all really smart when it comes to challenges. It's easy to look smart when things are falling your way. Everybody was saying how well Wes and Ev are playing this at the beginning (when everything was going their way)...and now everybody is saying Kenny knows how to play the game (when everything is going his way).
Point is...they all are good strategic players...things went Wes/Ev's way towards the beginning but have now turned in Kenny's favor.
Staying out of exile/gauntlets/infernos/duels etc. is strategic. Isn't that why people hated Kenny, because he never went in? So now everyone dislikes Ryan and Jenn? Its smarter for them to stay out of exile, esp. knowing that they will probably loose. I've always disliked Ryan and have been indifferent to Jenn lately but who cares they don't go in? Its keeping them from going home. They are trying to stay as long as possible and win. They're not gonna volunteer to go in because they feel like its their time, Wes schemed from going on the entire time.

I'm not saying they're being stupid. I'm saying it's annoying when Ryan says how it's Wes & Evelyn's turn to go into exile when he, himself, hasn't done **** besides run his mouth and flip flop.

I've liked Carley since she won the underwater challenge. Really a smart player and a surprise asset to Landon.

I would say that Ryan and Theresa have done a better job this challenge than Wes & Mandi. Landon was right, out of all the teams to go, it was Wes's time to pony up.
Ryan has always been a flip flopper super fan. I don't know why everyone shocked he's being so shady. Jenn on the other hand is surprising, isn't she the one that usually goes on about how she real is she is? Or maybe I'm thinking of somebody else.

Oh I completely completely agree it was Wes' turn to go into the exile...it just rubbed me the wrong way Ryan said the same about Evelyn.
As for Jenn --- EXACTLY! And wasn't she the one during The Island who couldn't stand Kenny because of all the **** he talked behind her back? She makes it sound like Evelyn is a better friend to her...yet...funny how things turn out when it comes down to voting. I thought Jenn had more "balls" than that.
People do what they have to to survive. Big whoop. Wes and Ev did what they had to and now Jenn and Ryan are doing what they have to. I do agree that it was Wes' time above anyone else's to step up. He definitely stepped down though. Kenny, Luke, Pete did the same exile Wes did and handled much better. Kenny and Landon did the bucket exile which was even harder and held up better then Wes. Good job Wes!

In the past, I personally loathed Evan, Kenny, and especially Johnny. At least with Evan, he is a proven competitor and does win to stay out of the elimination, or has been smart enough to actually lead the manipulation with the right people. Kenny, has stayed out fo exile because he wins, and this challenge, he realized that the X was on his back the entire time, and has basically intimidated fodder players like Jenn and Ryan because of it, thus swaying their vote.
I personally have a problem with players like Jenn, Ryan, Robin, Diem, Casey, and others including Kina, Adam, etc who only goal is to be "carried", yes I said it to a final without putting in any work. I interpret this as them having no self confidence to think they can win on their own, which begs the question - why are they there? It's funny how people have disliked Evelyn and now Laurel because they are true competitors and focus more on winning. The whole point of a challenge is to win, not settle for 3rd or 4th place, and definitely not win best friends.

Agreed. Love this. And don't forget how "tough" they act without actually doing anything. [Ryan]
I want to say that Mandi's impersonation of Laurel's "cackling hyena" laugh was hysterical. I'll never ever forget her after that.
BTW: I think Jenn is a hypocrite and a liar (agree with Mandi). She said she gave Wes and Evelyn her word, then when things got too hot she suddenly didn't care. She made a big deal about how her "word" mattered so much with that after-show featuring Paula and Wes. Not ONCE did she really come through for them.
I want to say that Mandi's impersonation of Laurel's "Kathy hyena" laugh was hysterical. I'll never ever forget her after that.
Personally, I thought it was immature and rude... not to mention stupid. In my experience, people who act that way do so out of insecurity.

Buck, I too am very disappointed in Jenn this season. I expected more. As for ryan, he is like Petti "turn" coat junction. His past speaks for itself. Ever since the Island when he screwed Kelly Anne, thinking that he would actually be carried to a Finals victory by Kenny/Johnny was absurd. People in the past failed to realize that unless your doing an Inferno or Ruins, getting to the Finals guaruntees NOTHING. I'm glad the Gauntlet changed there format to a winner takes everything. It was so gratifying to see freeloaders like Diem, Robin, Eric, and back then Kenny, CT, and Brad get nothing. Sorry, that's what I saw even though CT, Brad, Evan, and Kenny are proven to be decent players.
I hate to say it, but i do blame Ev/Wes for trusting him and not granting Danny the right to take him down.
And yes, Jenn threw Evelyn under the bus, and then had the audacity to say Ryan is 100% with Kenny, so I must follow the numbers. She sounds so weak, and is weak. All of her prior challenges, she held her word, but I guess Diem's slaughter of her in Duel 2 Push Over has changed her ability to honor her friends.
I really hope they get screwed in the end, either one of them or even both of them. If Evelyn doesn't win, then it will be her turn again. Evelyn and Wes made strategic errors, but the worst one was thinking that her friend Jenn and Ryan had they back.

Some of those people are probably just there to have a good time and hang out with friends on a paid vacation. BMP knows this and they try to cast for entertainment just as much as for athletic competitiveness. Otherwise there's no way certain people would have been invited back as much as they have.

Completely agree with this.
I personally think that Laurel is a beautiful girl and has proven herself as a tough competitor, and why not be cocky when you're backing it up by winning EVERYTHING.
Completely agree with this.

Don't get me wrong. I love Laurel and found the idea of those girls snipping to be immature. But that impression of Mandi was funny as ****, IMO.
this challenge really makes me not like Jenn for some reason, maybe because on the island reunion she said, "I'm not going to betray people, lie, be an *******, and other things you have to do to win this game".
then she was just the opposite on FM2.
I don't think there is any problem with what Jenn and Ryan did. If the attention is not on you, don't do something stupid to put it on you. I don't think they are settling at all. The goal in this game is to get to the final challenge (and hopefully win)... anything can happen. If you can slip through without drawing attention to yourself, more power to you.
As for Kenny, I still don't think he is that smart. He is very fortunate to have a great partner (not too mention that these challenges have greatly played into their height advantage). If Wes was such a business man as he claims he is, he would have aligned with Kenny, Darrell, and Landon. I can understand wanting to eliminate tough competition, but I would rather get into the final challenge (once again I think Wes over thinks things). Landon plays the game the right way, you don't want to have too much attention when joining an alliance, but you want to have a say. If you are going to start an alliance, you must be loyal and keep the strong players on your side. Finally, JEK's alliance was also much stronger than Wes's on this challenge. Wes had numbers, but didn't have dominating competitors besides Landon. Overall, I just think Wes and Evelyn thought a little too much this challenge.
People hate Laurel because she's a bit cocky & self-assured, yet she actually has a right to be given how she performs on the playing field. Yet, people love Wes for the exact same reasons even though he is all bark and no bite 90% of the time. The world is a confusing place.

What people are saying about Jenn is that she made an agreement with Wes & Evelyn and completely took a dump on it by not helping them out. She saw the numbers were with Kenny so strategically stayed on his side. Smart move on her part strategy-wise but morally not so much. This is coming from the same girl who said she'd never screw people over to win a game. Back at the Island reunion (like someone has already pointed out in a previous post) she said she'd never betray friendships just to win money. Hmmmm...

I have not seen anything that would make me believe people on here like Wes because he's cocky. The reason people on here seem to like Wes is because he hates Kenny.
