I don't care what the challenge is called now. That doesn't erase the fact that none of Stale Meat belong there and no matter how many challenges they will NEVER be legitamate castmembersin my mind this is the REAL WORLD/ROAD RULES CHALLENGE. Where do the Stale Meat factor into that?
I think that is why they are calling it the Challenge now to accommodate the fact that their is more Fresh Meat and less Road Ruler's
Well that's fine if you don't want to consider them cast members but in the literal meaning of that word they are without a doubt cast members. At first I was against the idea of having people we hadn't seen in RW or RR do challenges but if BMP hadn't done that they probably would've had to stop doing the challenges as there would be no new people from RR to add to the challenges. I enjoy the challenges so I'm all up for new ideas that allow for more challenges to be made. I honestly wonder why haven't you stopped watching the challenges if you hate so much what they have become with the FM kids. That's what I would do if I had such an issue with that.
I wasn't too into the idea of Fresh Meat when it first came up but I've definitely accepted now that if the challenges are to keep going, it's necessary to bring in new blood that way. And I'd rather see the challenges keep going than worry about the technicalities of whether these players have been on a RW season first or not.
My main problem with Fresh Meat is that I know nothing about them! Part of the reason I watch challenges is to see how the people have grown since their season. A perfect example is Kim, on her season people thought she was an ignorant racist, but now she is just thought of as a tough competetor. With Fresh Meat, I don't really know how they are in real life like with RWers and RRers.
... I don't really know how they are in real life like with RWers and RRers.
That comment assumes you know what we RWers are like in real life, hun. Even seeing people repeatedly, on challenge after challenge (i.e. Kenny), just gives you a good idea how they are under those circumstances. I can't count how many people who know me or have met me after show comment about how different I am than how I seem on TV. With the FMers I'd think it would be even more exciting given the fact you get the chance to come to know, and love or hate brand new personalities. Trust me, some of these kids are truly A-MAZ-ING people while others feel as greasy and vitriolic as the current RW/RR villains.

Was that really you? Not being in a competition setting and all.
Would you say you were given a fair shake on your season of the real world? Was that really you? Not being in a competition setting and all.
That's a complicated question because while obviously it was me (there are rarely any stunt doubles in Real World), I can't say I was given a fair shake 100%. That was me under duress and extreme circumstances and then occasionally taken out of context. So to concisely answer your question: Yes and no. If all you see of someone is they start drama, drink incessantly, and are generally buffoonish you will assume they are a buffoon in their everyday lives. When the reality of it is that within the challenge settings you can't read a book, can't play a game, can't even so much as prepare a meal for yourself and aside from challenge days have ****all to do except for stare at a wall... at least until 5pm when the beer flows like wine. There ain't **** to do but drink and act like a d-bag in between challenges. So in that context you don't get an accurate depiction of how someone "really" is; you see how they respond to duress in an awkward and sometimes stressful environment.
With that being the case of having little to nothing to do on a challenge. Would you given the opportunity to go forth and compete agian, would you sacrifice your time to have the chance to win money? Or do you feel your time is better served elsewhere?

All this running, jumping, being suspended from a mountain **** is so far beyond my realm of training. Now if it were say a Duel where I got to do some American Gladiator style pwnage? THAT would be a Challenge I would sign up for in a heartbeat.

Pretty much all of the Stale Meat that does the challenges just comes off as Unlikable, Annoying, and Pointless. I just hope that these new kids are better personalites than the last bunch. I understand that the Fresh Meat are part of the shows but can they PLEASE not be irritating to watch.

It seems like a lot of people (even those who aren't huge fans of the first batch) liked the new group of kids. Maybe you should just give them a chance and go in with an open mind, because I really don't know if some people (read: me) can take you complaining about another season.

On the older challenges I saw the cast going out to clubs every Saturday, listening to their iPods, reading books, going on their laptops, going out to movies/malls, bike riding...etc. They should keep it like that so the cast can actually have FUN.
Um....I was talking about the FIRST batch of Fresh Meat.
Yes, and it seems like Katelynn was talking about the second batch.

Believe me, I was right and ready to cut a ***** when I learned I couldn't walk the half a block to get a cup of coffee. It sucks, but that's the way it is.
Yes, and it seems like Katelynn was talking about the second batch.
Yes I was talking about the second batch of Fresh Meat as I no longer consider the original FM cast to be "Fresh" given the fact we see their faces on almost every single challenge. They're now part of the Challenge Cast et, al. I choose not to comment on some of the original FM people because, while some of them are able to be normal and civil human beings, others have been emotionally damaged and stunted as a result of being on television. Some people feel as though they're A-list celebs with A-list attitudes when in reality they're a bunch of Z-list morons who are the butt of most jokes, and we feel sad for them when the episode is over.

K8mnstr are you part of Scott's plans to finally put an end to JEK
K8mnstr are you part of Scott's plans to finally put an end to JEK
If Scottie and I were on the same challenge together (which I would LOVE because I never get to see him enough) I would do my best to assist him in those endeavors, regardless of team or alliance lines.

Thanks for never holding back and for continuing to chime in! The Challenges really went downhill (fast) for me during Fresh Meat. I thought that challenge, itself, was pretty lame, and I despise the fact that we're still watching people like Kenny and Evan. Ooof. I've been watching Real World since Season 1. I watch the Challenges to see the cast members who I've already watched full seasons of! It's great to be allowed back into their lives, if only for a short while. So BMP needs to have Fresh Meat in order to keep the Challenges alive. Ok - I get it. I guess. But it's a tough pill to swallow. I'll definitely be watching Fresh Meat 2 though, and cheering on the Brooklyn peeps (and I'm not saying that just cuz k8 is here....i just really enjoyed that season). Hopefully Wes can bring the pain for Kenny this time, but my prediction is that the same boring people will win again. You guys might have to wake me up near the end.

I say after Fresh Meat 2 consider the "Torch" passed!
By pass the torch, do you mean when they'll retire from the challenges or when they'll get taken down a few pegs? I'm looking forward to both, but I have a feeling neither will happen for at least 20 more years.
