Of course everyone wears sunglasses at night. Why else would Corey Har have made a song about it.

That's right, I forgot the sun never sets on being a ******.
I agree with this to a tea... Drama sells and gets viewers.
Maybe BMP figured that since this is DC, they didn't want to make it about drunken drama, hookups, and fights? And that's why they chose to cast this group of young adults? Who knows, but here's to hoping that they cast the right group of 8 strangers for Back to New Orleans and the season is chock full of drama! I would hate for it to be another poor season like DC :/
The tweets about this episode are hilarious.
"Josh is giving relationship advice-***"
And then something about Andrew choosing the grenade over the Andrea..lol.
OK, I'm new to this. I always watched a few episodes of past seasons here and there but I started actually watching this show during Brooklyn and had been hooked on it and even Cancun. That being said, I think this season is downright horrible. It's so so boring and I can't even get myself to want to watch the next episode week after week, where with the others I couldn't wait. This episode, like the others, was just incredibly boring.
Here's to next season.
Not verbatim, of course- Ashley: 'I don't want to engage in this kind of mental instability. It's really time for Erika to go home.' - So funny. haha :p

Epic quote.
I loved this episode, it's great seeing Andrew happy and funny. I don't think his intentions were bad at all when he "brought home" the black-haired girl, he just made a really bad job of possibly leading her on and didn't drop her like he should've when his girl came over.
I thought it was interesting how his girl problems somewhat stem from his cheating mother, leading him to distrust all women.
Wow...Erika. Pretty much every word she says sounds to me like nails scratching a chalkboard, I actually really dig her music and singing when she's in the music room doing solo stuff, but her self-pity and self-centered depressive self is so annoying.

Even older, hardcore RW fans would agree and admit that this season ranks nowhere near the top of even mediocre past seasons, let alone the best seasons. I'm 24 and I've been a hardcore fan of the Real World since the Seattle season, when I was about 12 or 13 years old :p I also had the pleasure of watching older seasons such as Boston and Miami, and that was in part thanks to marathons that MTV used to air. But anyway, I've seen every single episode of every season of the Real World starting with Miami, and I can say that The Real World: DC could very well be the worst, or at least, the least-entertaining season of this classic reality series. I wouldn't even say that London was more boring than this DC season has been thus far, because then I would be lying. :laugh4:
And yes, here is to next season! May it bring us back to the days when the Real World was a kick-ass reality show! :dance4:
Andrew and Andrea was a complete awe moment...I actually kind of liked it. It wasn't an non-stop, wild thrill ride for an hour but it wasn't that bad.
Yeah, they actually seem to me like a perfect match. I think they are def. cute together, and they do seem genuine with their affection :)
That, my dear Thing, is exactly what is wrong with television. Why must we see people freak to be entertained? What's wrong with our society that normal happiness isn't entertaining?
No one wants to see a person freak out the whole series. We just want to see crazy people. A.K.A. Jersey Shore. And this Real World D.C. people are blander than food at a retirement home.

OMG!! I think the exact same thing! lol. And I was watching RW: Sydney and I saw non-stop yelling from Parisa, and Trisha. And if that was in this season then it would be played sooooooooo mannyyyyy times! London wasn't terrible.... DC isn't terrible.... But they are both boring. Cancun I don't know why people here don't like it! I mean yeah it didn't get good ratings. But I watch MTV all the time and I saw no advertising at all. And I see nothing but advertising on DC. Cancun was a pretty good season. Giving us good characters like Aiiiya, Joey, Bronne, Joanne, And Emily. But I really do miss RW: Austin and RW: Denver. Those were the kick *** reality shows! But now the WHOLE entire Reality television is just over broadcasted. And seriously pretty much everything we have seen it before. So Reality Tv is going to go down, down, down, and down.
But I am looking foward To New Orleans because I will be vactioning there this summer. I just hope I don't miss them!
I actually prefer this season to Cancun. I hated Cancun. Although some may say it was full of drama or whatever, I just thought the cast was really unlikeable. I don't think Aiiiya and Joey were good characters, I though they were mean, annoying, and loud (at least their edits on the show were, since I don't know them in real life). Same thing with Jersey shore or any season of the Real World where the people are just shouting and having sex with random people the entire time. I end up disliking everyone on the show and it makes it less enjoyable.
With D.C, while some of the cast is annoying (Erika comes to mind with all the complaining), I like Callie, Mike, Andrew, and even Ashley (she's loud and annoying sometimes, but I still love her lol). Besides, if D.C is doing better than Cancun did in the ratings, isn't that proof that people want more than just mindless shouting matches and random threesomes?
I happen to like Erika a lot. What she has is real. Her depression is real and I can relate. Depression can make you do and say things you don't mean. You are honestly not yourself when you are depressed, and I wish more people understand that, then just saying she is annoying and self centered.
The show is obviously only showing her when she is having a "depressive" attack, but if you remember she wasn't in the first few episodes. She seems like a cool chick. As thin as she says her skin is, I think it is pretty thick to admit she needed help.
I also really like Callie. She seems like a cool down to earth type of girl.

Ding ding ding...we have a winner.
I think Andrew is Jumping the gun with this Andrea chick. they both need to slow it down a bit.
And Erika....PLEASE go home. I'm not looking forward to her B.S next episode.
Ding ding ding...we have a winner.
Ratings talk guys. I agree - the high ratings are proof that substance does not necessarily mean fighting and drama. If you want to watch fake trash like Jersey Shore...then watch Jersey Shore.
Sometimes I can't even believe that Real World fans would want such trashy storylines and trashy characters. I think Cancun and Vegas were some of the worst seasons the show has ever produced. DC has been amazing so far, as was Brooklyn. I want to see people who are growing, changing, and living their lives. If a fight happens in between, great, but that can't be a season's entire crutch.
Maybe some of you should be watching I Love Money instead.
That said - we finally get to see a real side of Andrew! I wonder if he ever told his roommates about his mother and father - clearly its the reason for his distrust of women (though I'm sure the cameras didn't help that either!).
I really like Andrea, even if she did apply to be on the show. She seems genuine and sweet - I wonder if they'll stay together!
I've dealt with so many people like Erica before, so I completely empathize with her and her situation. I also, maybe even more so, understand where Callie is coming from. Sometimes you just want to smack people who don't realize how good they have it.
Excited to see how it goes down next week!

Paris and Key West were much worse IMO.
BTW, the first season of RW I ever watched was New Orleans which was the 9th season. I just realize that the next installment of RW will be 24. Time flys like crazy.
Andrew and his girl were really cute together. She's beautiful and they seemed to get along wonderfully.
This was the best episode I've seen in a while, save for Erika's dramatics that seem to be a weekly occurrence now.
I'm still very hot and cold with Andrew. I think he's funny, but at the same time something seems so off about him. He's a creep.
Mike and Callie are the only two people that I like this season, as in definitely like. For the most part I'm fine with Ashley and I actually think she makes good points in a lot of her arguments, but she goes about them in all the wrong ways. And she never shuts up. Emily is meh; already explained Andrew; and Ty, Josh, and Erika? I can't stand. I wish Josh never spoke like in the first 2 or 3 episodes. He was so much more likeable then.
